, IL–If you are eating while perusing the Dreamin’ Demon today, you might want to put your food aside for a minute or two. Jameszenia Balentine, 49, was recently arrested and charged with criminal neglect. No biggie, huh? We read about that kind of charge weekly around here. But, this isn’t your basic run-of-the-mill neglect we’re talking about. We are talking rot, maggots, filth, and fused legs.

24 after a noticeably foul odor started drifting out of Balentine’s apartment. They found Balentine’s 29-year-old son in his bed, rotting away. Her son was paralyzed after a gunshot wound and she was responsible for his care…not to mention his Social Security checks.
He was laying in his own filth. There were maggots and flies all over his body. He had bedsores and skin ulcers…some bedsores were so deep, the bone was exposed. It had been so long since he had been moved, his legs were fused together and his feet were fused to the bed. He was dehydrated and undernourished. He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in serious condition. Yes, he was still alive! Rotting away a day at a time while mommy spent his disability checks. Lovely.
He has since been released from the hospital and is now in a long-term care facility. For some unknown reason, Balentine wasn’t arrested on the spot…it took four weeks to finally charge her. She was arrested over the weekend and now sits in jail in lieu of $150,000 bail. If convicted, she faces up to 5 years in prison.

Oh god the agony he must of felt and the lonliness. What a horrible bitch. Taking his checks and leaving him there to suffer. I honestly can’t believe he is still alive. At least he will get the care he needs now. Very Sad.

My heart goes out to her son. This bitch is for sure one of the ugliest things that I have seen in quite some time. We all know she wasn’t spending the money getting her hair or makeup done…FUGLY for sure!

for starts fugly doesnt come close to that, theres not enough anything in the world to make that look good. buckwheat + bigfoot = that. i still have doubts on the gender here. attempted murder does sound closer than neglect. to do that to anyone much less your own child makes me just as sick as lookin at her picture does.
thats just fucked up i hope she rots and the flies and maggots eat her flesh (that would only help her appearance i might ad) i mean her own son wtf I am at a loss for words here…

Jameszenia? I guess someone was trying to feminize James. I think this hideous woman (I shouted out loud when I read it’s a female) has a lawsuit against her parents.
If her son had died, she would have kept on taking the checks, what you want to bet?

I am in a w/chair and have been for 15yrs now,and i ended up with a bed soar that exposed bone and got me a bone/blood infection,and spent 8 months in an airbed healing and taking one of the 2 drugs in the world that can cure M.R.S.A…That was a Horror and that was “relatively under control” so i can only imagine this mans horror…Her cruelty makes me shudder…

wow im sorry you went through that,,,bed sores are the worst and its unbelievable how fast they can come on,,i have to turn all my chronic patients every 2 hours at work and we have fired 2 nurses because they didnt and with in hours its like a huge blister and just gets worse after that

Damn… I thought I had a lonely existence…lol. Seriously.. NO ONE ever came to visit? He was never scheduled for Dr. appts.? No friends? Mind boggling!
Poor guy! (the son) I’m still not convinced “that” is a woman. She/he could have adopted or fostered or something. There’s not ONE thing about her/him that shouts (or even whispers) “female”… not 1.
Good luck to the son. Hope he heals well – both physically and mentally. It’s truly fucked up when your own parent is the culprit in such a heinous crime.

Ok, WTF???????? That’s a woman???????? My God, what an awful story- I pray for her poor son. My brother (in his 30’s) is disabled and often bed-ridden. He is taken care of at his own apartment and usually quite well by aides and the thought of him being neglected in any way is almost too much for me to bear. I do half fear though that had he been left at home with my “mom” ( I hate to even call her that, it sounds too nice) he could have ended up in a similar way- which is a whole ‘nother story! Some people should never have been parents- sick F-ers!

I read the headline and looked at the picture, and I thought to myself, “Jameszenia is an odd name for a dude.” And man, that is one tough looking dude! Don King would be afraid of her and sign her up to fight Mike Tyson.
What a shocker to find out he is a she!!! I saw a program on the History channel a few nights ago where some species (types of lizards) can reproduce without sex (the term is Parthenogenesis). I wonder if she fits that bill because I cannot fathom a man puting his little guy anywhere near that…

ScotchyScotch, you’re right. The man who got next to this “woman” deserves a thread on DD for crimes against evolution.
I hope Imp and Morbid will take up the challenge and find a picture of him. There must be an engagement announcement or wedding picture somewhere. When the bride is named Jameszenia it can’t be too hard to track down the happy day.

That was my first thought. What a bitch.
There are three types of people I really hate in this world. The first is anyone who tortures, rapes and/or murders a child, the second is anyone who does the same to a disabled person and the third is anyone who does the same to an animal.
The helpless among us need to be protected, nurtured and loved, not abused and neglected. Someone should tie her to a bed and let her rot there. Alive. This bitch lacks not only compassion, but any shred of humanity and kindness.
