“Rashad” Terrell, 22, is a Marine based out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He and his wife, Ashley Stallings, 22, have a total of three children. Well, they did. Now they just have two, since Terrell murdered his two-year-old stepson, Jailyn McCoy, this week.  Way to bring pride to the Corps, Rashad.Â
On Wednesday afternoon, someone in the Terrell-Stallings house on British Road called 911 to report that Jailyn wasn’t breathing. When Lenoir County deputies arrived, they found Jailyn unresponsive, and Jailyn was taken to the hospital. Ashley Stallings went to the hospital with her little boy, who was pronounced dead at 3:18 p.m.
Investigators called to the scene questioned both Terrell and his wife, and determined that Terrell “was present and participated” in Jailyn’s death, and that Terrell had abused Jailyn before he died. So 2+2 still equals four in Lenoir County. Terrell was arrested Wednesday evening and booked on an initial charge of felony child abuse, and his bond was set at $100,000.
An autopsy was done on Jailyn’s little body Thursday, and the medical examine determined that cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head. Iran Rashad Terrell, a United States Marine, had beaten his stepchild to death.
Two other children were in the home at the time of the murder – Ashley’s four year old daughter, and Iran and Ashley’s infant son. The children were immediately removed from the home, and were placed first in temporary protective custody, but were later released to Terrell’s immediate family for care.
Ashley Stallings and Iran Rashad Terrell got married on September 29, 2007. Ashley’s Myspace shows a bright, pretty young woman who really seemed to believe that Terrell was the man of her dreams and the perfect father for her Jailyn and Ariyana – and soon after, their own baby boy. She appears to be a loving mother, and Ariyana and Jailyn had their own MyspaceMySpace
as well. I won’t link them here, but they are public and easy to find.
The only red flag I found was on Terrell’s Myspace. Maybe it was an oversight – something he just never got around to updating – but I found it interesting. Under “General Interests”, Rashad wrote: “My [interest] is owning my own place one day and having kids when I get myself together but I need to work on one thing at a time.” Under “KidsKids reviews
“, he listed himself as a “proud parent”. That’s a disconnect I find rather telling.
Iran Rashad Terrell is now being charged with first-degree murder as well as felony child abuse in connection with Jailyn’s death. He is currently being held in Lenoir County with no bond set for the new murder charge.

I noticed the disconnect between “getting it together” before he has kids and then listing himself as a “proud parent” there too impie. Also red flagged that Mom “sweetz” compares the feeling of “love” between having Baby #2 (Jailyn) and the newborn with Mr. Marine
in his comment section.
Wonder when he found the time to update his myspace to feeling “betrayed” and wanting to “get the ^^%*%^$ out of here!” Right b4 he was handcuffed?

The few, the proud, the Marines? Looks like this branch of the service needs to learn the meaning of proud.
BTW, in my other life, I lived right near Camp LeJ — New Bern/Emerald Isle. Truly a beautiful part of NC, except for this small part.
My hubby is ex Air Force, but I think Marines are, well, sort of a different breed; not all, just the Marines I was exposed to while living in the area (going on base was not a good experience, unlike visiting Quantico, which is so awesome, IMO).

I noticed that as well. Gees, the poor littl kid. Another Fuck Tart, stepfather, murders a child left in his care. And according to the police report , this wasnt the first time he harmed this child.
My heart goes out to all the children. Hopefully this AssHat will be locked up for a long time and the children will not be exposed to more abusive stepfathers.

CPS, took the remaining children and placed them with the real fathers family. The irony is, that looks like, its the one she was dissing in her blog.
I also noticed family member had more picts of the children than she did. Not sure what that says about her.
She is going to be eating crow for a long time to come and hopefully she will put her children first and dump Iran’s ass, but I dought it after reading her blogs, she might have burned to many bridges already.

It is so sad that a young life was lost and by the hands of someone who is supposed to be loving and protective. I hope that his little soul is resting peacefully and that his “step-father” is rotting in a jail cell! ugh. I’m not saying that being an idiot is the same as being a murderer… but after reading some of the mom’s blog, I’m thinking maybe all those kids would be better off with other people raising them.
She seems extremely immature, to say the LEAST. it’s scary thinking that someone with that mindset has children. it’s just ridiculous. i would suggest reading some of it. it’s sad that it looks as though she picked her man over her children.

poppas123, We can assume , what ever we want based upon the known facts. We don’t know who, is the father of any of the children, except for the new baby. And I said the rea; fathers family, I believe that would be correct for the baby. The news wasn’t clear on who is who. Calm the heck down, If you have a point than please make it. No one here is stuck in a rut and wont change there minds.
I was bringing up a point about the mother Karma rant . Also her lack of children’s photos being strange for a mother.
My gut feeling is she didn’t do that damage to the child. The police questioned them both and it was established Iran was there and had disciplined the child.
Sorry if you do not believe it. I have first hand experience with a LARGE MAN killing a child and NOT realizing there own strength. My sisters 3 year old was killed the same way. Detectives explained it to me in great detail, of small woman versus big man , body blows. For fucks sake look at the photo at the top of the page. The man who killed my niece was the same size and normally a gentile man , till he lost his temper. I am well aware of what being around a 3 year old is like. They will drive you bonkers and what gets most parents through it is their parental love , that some step parents do not have.
I saw plenty of smiles and happy times for the little girl, but I haven’t seen happy nothing for this dead little boy. I am questioning what kind of mother she was to him. Even if you only saw good from Iran , you don’t know what went on when you left. He could have been having flashbacks from the war or his military training kicked in or whatever. I was in the Marine corps as well. I know what training he received. And its banged into your head to just react. If you have access to the 4 year old ask her what happened, she was there.

Re: kids: Ariyana and Jailyn were Ashley’s. They have two different fathers. I have no idea where either man is, but neither of them were stepping up to raise their children – of whom Ashley still had custody. So if she was this abusive parent, several people dropped the ball in getting Jailyn safe.
The three-month-old, whose name I don’t know, is Iran Terrell’s son with Ashley. The Terrell family has both surviving children,which tells me that Ariyana’s father is not available or capable of taking his daughter.
I do have questions about Ashley, because she was in the home when Jailyn was killed. But aside from Ashley and the children, I’m not aware of anyone else being there. The medical evidence and Iran Terrell’s statements to date indicate that he killed Jailyn, not Ashley. If we have posters who were there and can refute that, they really ought to be calling law enforcement immediately, because they’re material witnesses.
Otherwise, they’re just speculating because they can’t believe Terrell could do such a thing. Which is a normal reaction to a crime like this. But medical evidence doesn’t often lie.

To those of you who don’t know Iran or Miss Stallings you are the ones speculating based on the interview SHE gave to the police. Yes he admitted spanking little Jaylin,but according to HER she was with Jaylin after the spanking took place.At this time I will not go into details because there is a investigation going on. Miss Stallings was in South Carolina picking up a man within hours of this tragic ordeal, yet she never came by to she her children who were minutes away(less than 15)HELL when she calls the Terrell family she don’t even ask about her children.Yes,she fulfilled her fantasy and got a chance to see what married life was like.Now she wants to fulfill her wish and start her life all over again.This slut never even have to mention anything about this tragedy, just as she never mention her black past to Iran. Miss Stallings has never shed one tear for Jaylin, and no it is not shock it is fact.I have been in her presence during this time. No real mother would want to have sex with or be in the presence of anyone in the home were their child was murdered hours earlier.But that is exactly what she did. Regardless of what she told the police or what you read ,she has giving many different statements and the truth will prevail. As far as Jaylins father,he is a married man who let her know up front that there involvement was nothing more than a one night stand.That is why she never cared much for Jaylin.His pictures show a little boy who was sad but most of all he was under loved. I LOVE Jaylin as well as the other children.For those of you who don’t know the family or never even been around Jaylin, he was and always will be for me a sweet and gentle little boy. He loved to eat,visit with his cousins and loved to be hugged. I am glad to hear, Jailyn was atleast loved by some one. Its clear that Ashley, his mother did not. If she did burn the children with cigarettes, its not a unreasonable assumtion that she could have been the one to harm Jailyn. At this point based upon things you said, its possible that Iran might not be the one who harmed the children, so I will keep a more open mind about it.
I see Ashley the grieving mother ( NOT) who doesnt have time to put her baby to rest , but has plenty of time to check her myspace page today, make it private and leave a very strange message.

When my daughter was in daycare their was a little boy whose names was spelled the same way and it was pronounced Jay Lynn. A little different way to say it, but not much. Anyway who knows if it’s the same for this little one, with his Mom it could be Jail In.

Like I was saying before. The fact that still remains is that Jailen was killed by someone. i think that as a member of Karen4 family I can say that my family loved that child and still do love him . I can also say that we don’t know what happened. My family is just like other’s family that are out there. If your family memeber was 3 hours away do you know what is going on in there households and if the only time you see them is 4 times a year, and everytime you are to see them and they portray happiness , how would you react and where was her family why didn’t they even try to get the kids why did they get turned over to Terrell’s family i will tell you why we stepped up and we love those kids we are a loving family i don’t know what any of you can say but i know for a fact that my family believes in the lord (judgement is for the lord) whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty)??????? Things didnt get an better for Iran yet, He had some kind of court date today, He was officialy charged with First-Degree Murder and Ashley is still running around free and logging into her Myspace page.
“The preliminary autopsy results show there was an indication of a blunt force injury to (McCoy’s) head,” “It was obvious that the child was suffering from some kind of abuse,†Hill said. “There were numerous bruises about the body of the child.â€
As for the investigation, Major Hill says they are still in the early stages and are continuing to interview people.
Some friend of Ashley’s is claiming the children are safer with Ashley.
