Winchester, MA – 28-year-old Christopher French was indicted Thursday on charges of child rape, child enticement, posing a child in a state of nudity, disseminating visual material of a child in a state of nudity, possession of child pornography and dissemination of matter harmful to minors.  The charges involve at least 6 minors.  Â
Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said, “We allege that he engaged in a pattern of grooming these young, impressionable girls through a series of inappropriate online conversations on Web sites such as FacebookFacebook
and MyspaceMySpace. The defendant then took those conversations further by exchanging sexually explicit photos, enticing the underage girls to meet him for sexual relations, and, in one case, committing child rape against a 14-year-old girl.”
French has been around kids for awhile, too. First as a substitute teacher, and then in his full time position as a special education teacher’s aide and soccer coach at The McCall Middle School in Winchester.  Ain’t it always the way?
On June 28th, Winchester police executed a search warrant and seized computer equipment.  Evaluation of the contents of the hard drive showed that he’d been “communicating inappropriately” with a number of girls during the years of his employment at the school, with both students and other girls he met online. He liked to send naked pictures of himself to many of them, and requested — and sometimes received — naked pictures of the girls in return.  He kept everything on his computer, catalogued by the name of the victim, so there’s not a whole lot of grey area here.
On at least two occasions, he enticed girls to meet with him in person for sexual activity.
Ultimately, he raped one 14-year-old in her own home, and then threatened her into silence.  He also repeatedly invited a 13-year-old student in his school to come join him in his hot tub, and told her that “naughty things” happen in his hot tub. Ick.  Smart girl that she was, she declined.  French continued to press her to meet him to “fool around,” and sent her a sexually explicit questionnaire.
This scumbucket was arrested on June 28th, and charged with one count of child enticement. Bail was set at $5,000.00 and he was ordered to stay away from children under 16. He posted bail and walked out the door, though he has been suspended without pay by the school since that arrest.
And here’s a really juicy tidbit by a local TV station’s investigative team: Back in September, while out on bail, he was found working on school property painting lines on a school field. French was unsupervised for part of the time and students can be seen walking nearby.  Worse still? The man who hired him to do this job is a police officer in Winchester, and ought to know better.
I assume we’ll hear further information on bail for the new charges shortly. But based on the number of victims who’ve been identified by his own computer files, it sounds as if Christopher French won’t be returning to the classroom any time soon.  And the teenagers of Winchester are just a wee bit safer tonight.

What an ass hat. He needs to be euthanized inhumanely. I can’t believe that a police officer hired him to do a job that clearly would put him in a possition where he would be around children after these charges. It’s stories like these that make me want to never let my children out of the house.

Well, I lust after jewelry. That’s exactly why I don’t work in a jewelry store. I know better than to put myself in that position. But, if you’re compelled as most predators are, you find a way, regardless.
Shame. He’s not a bad looking guy. That’s probably how he found his way into being around youn teens so easily, both with the school and the cop. He doesn’t *look* like a predator.

Yikes! Poor kids. I’m glad though that he was stupid and obsessive enough to keep such a good catalog of his victims. Made it much easier.
And only 5K for rape of a child? Seems really low to me. And what the hell was the cop thinking??

Peeper, I think the 5K bail was set back in June for the initial charge of Child Enticement. He was indicted on the rape charge (and others) just today, so I certainly hope bail will be set much higher.

my daughter is now in university in oklahoma but both mine went to a catholic high school and just last month the 31 yr old RELIGION teacher was convicted of raping 26 minors and mega other charges along with that but its sickening no matter what school they go to that these freaks of nature are getting careers where they can prey on the age group they want grope its just really sad that you cant send your children anywhere and be 100% that they are safe ours are 25 and 23 (very young mom) but we recently inherited 3 little girls from a family member and her hubby killed in accident and the girls would be split and fostered out so we got them and are starting back at ground zero after just hitting empty nest syndrome and dont get me wrong i love it but i have to say its much scarier now then it was when our other 2 were small and its not because its getting worse its because we know what to look for this time around we have seriously considered home schooling and actually will continue to look into it because im not a teacher and i want them to have the best education possible but with teachers like this asshole makes me think maybe i can do it if i check it out enough

Saddened but not surprised. As we’ve seen with many other cases of male (and female) pedophiles, many of them will take jobs like this to gain access to children. As for the low bond… well, let’s face it, being caught with drugs is still considered more serious in a lot of places than raping or beating a child is.

Well not surprised at all, but DISGUSTED that in our times, that our children are, obviously, being watched always by these sex criminals, child molesters, child pedo’s and you know it is just gross and WE DD’s get so disgusted because we dont and will never ever think like these sickos so what needs done when caught and found guilty NEVER EVER SET BAIL and just LOCK them up because what we want to see, DEATH, will never happen with our judicial system, therefore NO BAIL EVER and they need to be put AWAY FOREVER and NEVER get OUT because they will do this act again and he will get out on bond and TRUST ME he will perpatrate one more victim before his sentencing date just by reading that he worked at school before when he was not to be around children. So ya know I can vent to you guys and bitch about the system but honestly we need to change some laws out there we really do need to get these sickos off the street and lock them up FOREVER

im not sure how many have seen this case/story but there was a man actually sentenced to death for raping his 8 yr old step daughter,she needed surgery to repair her,so now its been moved up to supreme court because few people know there is a death penalty law for raping children ,,,,here is a bit of the article,,and maybe we should start demanding that these laws be revisited and enforced,,,,,,,,. Thirty years later, the Supreme Court is about to answer that question. The justices on Wednesday will hear the case on behalf of a Louisiana death-row inmate convicted of raping his 8-year-old stepdaughter in 1998.
Patrick Kennedy, 43, would be the first convicted rapist in 44 years to be executed in a case in which the victim was not killed.
He was sentenced to die in 2003 for sexually assaulting his 8-year-old stepdaughter in her bed. In addition to severe emotional trauma, the attack caused internal injuries and bleeding to the child, requiring extensive surgery, Louisiana prosecutors said.
Both in 1976 and a year later, the U.S. Supreme Court banned capital punishment for rape — and, by implication, any other crime except murder. But 19 years later, Louisiana passed a law allowing execution for the sexual violation of a child under 12. State lawmakers argued that the earlier high court cases pertained only to “adult women.”
In oral arguments Wednesday, Kennedy’s lawyer, Jeffrey Fisher, faced spirited questioning from several conservative justices.

Did this stuff go on back when I was in school (70’s) or was it just all hushed up?
WTF? If some teacher had started coming onto me, I would’ve been “dude, get away, you’re old” or something like that.
I realize this was before the internet age and all, and we would occasionally hear things about some student, then all of a sudden she would be going to another school. That was it.
I guess it probably was going on but not quite so open and out there. Regardless, I would not want to be a teacher right now. My niece is student teaching elementary school now, high end near D.C. She had to take down her myspace two years ago (they check), the children have cell phones (5th grade), they wrote the “real” teacher a note and asked that their student teacher (my niece) be removed because she was too strict.
Does anyone else see anything wrong with this picture? 5th graders? IMO, a student in grade 5 should be doing what the teacher says, and check their cell at the door. But that’s just me. And you KNOW the parents would back the kid 100%.
I can’t wait to hear how today went (Halloween) when the mom’s were coming in with “surprise” treats for their babies and what they’ll have to say to/about my niece. (The school admin has already asked her to stay on as a sub until they can hire her, but I’d ask for the younger ones if she gets a choice.)
He does look like Ben Stiller. Weird. Someone should forward this story to him and see if there’s a mix-up of some sort. I mean, it’s Halloween and the best time for tricks.

i graduated high school ‘82 and in the town we had moved to from the city for a few yrs there was 2000 people our town,, high school was maybe 400(if that) and there were 5 male teachers that partied with the girls on a huge boat so it went on there,not to sure how many parents were aware of it but Mr.Mickey did end up marrying Carol Vasily because he got her knocked up in grade 11,,keep in mind these teachers werent some small town hicks they all lived in the city and drove the 50 miles to teach at our high school and they partied with them for many yrs so it was going on at my high school but kinda makes you wonder why they drove all that way each day ,50 miles each way,,unless that was their plan
