South Brunswick, NJ – Michael Maltese, 22, is one of those young men with big plans, no work ethic, and a sense of entitlement. A high school dropout, he moved into his parents’ home in AugustAugust reviews
with his 18-year-old girlfriend Nicole “Nikki” Taylor.  Mike’s parents did not approve of their son’s choices.  Uneducated, unemployed, and angry, Mike didn’t approve of his parents, either.
Earlier this month, Michael Maltese killed his parents, Michael J. Maltese, 58, and Kathleen Maltese, 53. And it appears now that he had help from his girlfriend Nikki Taylor.
OctoberOctober reviews 10, the younger Michael Maltese and Nikki Taylor went to New York for a weekend trip. They took the elder Maltese’s credit cards – all the easier to use since both Maltese men had the same first name – and had a good time. They got engaged, and Nicole, who had previously voiced annoyance at Michael’s inability to keep a job, seemed ready to start a new life with her man.

, October 17, Michael Maltese and an unidentified relative (probably one of his sisters) went to report their parents missing. Mike Maltese owned and operated his own tractor-trailer rig and drove often, and he hadn’t shown up for at least one run.
When Michael Maltese talked to the police, he told conflicting stories about when and where he had last seen his parents. Initially, Maltese said that he’d last seen them on October 10 – but within a day, that story was busted when the trip to New York showed up on credit cards. On October 18, Michael Maltese was charged with swearing a false report and released without bail, because Jersey has some smart cops. They knew that if they let him out and waited, something would break.
It didn’t take long.
Even early on, neighbors saw Nikki Taylor drinking outside the Maltese home. And one neighbor overheard a confrontation in the yard when two of Michael’s sisters told him that they knew he knew something, and he’d better start talking. While Michael’s sisters were in tears and sobbing, Michael was “walking around with a smile on his face”, neighbors noted. The tension was getting thick in there.
On October 23, Michael Maltese posted a comment on his own Myspace page asking for information on his missing parents. Pretty ballsy given that he knew where they were, I think. And also too little, too late, since they’d been reported missing for almost a week (and dead for over two weeks) by that time. No blog entry. No nothing, except a missing persons flyer in MyspaceMySpace comment form. Nice.
On Friday, October 24, the South Brunswick police had Michael Maltese and Nicole Taylor go in to the station to for more questioning. It didn’t take long – and although police haven’t released who said what, my bet is that Nikki rolled under the pressure.
According to the arrest affidavits, Michael Maltese killed his parents early on the morning of October 8 and then buried them in Beech Woods Park. And while Nikki didn’t physically murder anyone, she knew what was going on and assisted Michael after the fact. Both Michael Maltese and Nicole Taylor were arrested and charged with multiple counts, including murder and credit card theft, on Friday.
On Saturday, the bodies of JackJack reviews and Kathleen Maltese were found by homicide investigators. The bodies were buried in shallow graves in a wooded area of the park. AutopsyAutopsy reviews results and a cause of death are expected early this week.
Michael Maltese and Nicole Taylor are being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick, New Jersey. Maltese is charged with murder, swearing a false statement, and theft, and is held on $2 million bail. Taylor is charged with theft and conspiracy to commit murder. Her bond is set at $1 million.
Hope that was one hell of a harvest festival.

I’m an English teacher, teaching in Japan and it drove me fucking nuts. Luckily he cannot feel the wrath of my red pen, lol. Sad that a sixth grader here, has better grammar that this kid. Here, they do not start learning English until junior high, I’m just floored.

The part that really creeped me out was that he smiled when his siblings asked if he knew where the parents were. So they must of known that he was capable of doing something like this or had an inkling.

Well, your porch drinkers are a much better class of people than your yard drinkers. So, I guess this is valuable information. Or not.
But your correspondent is not only spelling challenging but reading comprehension challenged. The article states that she was drinking outside the home and does not specify if the drinking was on the porch or in the yard. I don’t know about NJ, but where I live, we tend to have our porches outside the home. But why is this point relevant anyway?

Expect to get a lot of that. This is my neighborhood. Nikki was well liked around here. (Not by me, don’t get me wrong!) Even though she wasn’t arrested for the actual murder, that bit of information will go over the heads of those commenting to you.

It’s a shame no one has talked about his father using younger Michael’s social security number to run up over $30,000 in debt, and then dumping it on his 12 year old son, which wasn’t found out till he was 18. Thus stopping him from joining the Coast Guard. It also doesn’t mention that his parents legally signed him over to his sister at about the same time. Has anyone mentioned his parents hindering him from getting his GED? As well as other possible incidences of identity theft on the fathers part, and spousal abuse. I don’t condone his killing his parents, but hmmm,.. maybe it’s the old “Apple not falling far from the tree” syndrome.

Except that Michael’s parents obviously didn’t kill HIM – or anyone else that I can see. And they were allowing him and his dropout girlfriend to live in their home, apparently rent-free. And there’s no court record that I can locate of any identity theft on the part of the elder Malteses, but KillaMike did run up his parents’ debt. If you are his friend, I hope you didn’t encourage him to fail to take responsibility for his own actions. As you know, though, that there are lots of people in this country who flat out don’t agree. Esp. on the matter of sexuality. And esp. on the matter of religion. They are a minority, but of course there are plenty who would equate Wicca or Paganism with Satanism. Now, these are the same bozos who equate, say, Islamic extremism with garden-variety Muslims…and then also try to say (for instance) that Obama is a Muslim. Some of them then add, “and also the anti-christ.” Now, these are usually the same idiots who say “the Pledge has the words ‘Under God’ in it”…and then you can say, yes, the Pledge was introduced in the late 19th century, and the words “Under God” were added under Eisenhower.
The “porch” detail was absurd and quite beside the point. I loved it–for its sheer pointlessness. She was on, you know, the fricking VERANDA. Whatever!

It could be very possible that his parents weren’t the greatest and did this to him BUT…instead of murdering them he could have said, “I am going to choose to be better than my parents are, I am going to do the right thing, I am going to use this time living with my parents to get a job, save money, get my act together and get on my feet so that I can marry my girlfriend and start a new life doing things THE RIGHT WAY” No, he chose instead to kill them, which accomplishes what exactly?? Did he really think that no one would figure it out and that maybe he’d end up spending the rest of his natural life in a jail cell?? What a moron. I do have to wonder how a parent or parents can raise such a twit. I would think that a child reared with strong morals and strict guidance wouldn’t turn out like this but you just never know. My GOD…It’s absolutely amazing to me how people can create justifications for a lack of personal responsibility.
I don’t even know how one might “hinder” attempts to obtain a GED, without tying someone to a chair or locking them in a basement.
It’s entirely possible that this guy’s parents (or at least father, from the sounds of it) behaved in ways that lended themselves to their child’s misbehavior. But life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how YOU choose to deal with it. Clear the hurdles, or suffer the consequences.
