Baby Raper Of The Day: Kevin Andrew Otwell

Gainesville, FL – Kevin Andrew Otwell nearly killed his girlfriend’s two-month-old baby boy last week. On Monday, Kevin and his girlfriend took the baby to the hospital for what Otwell tried to say was a fall into the baby bathtub.  Except that the baby’s diaper had blood in it, and an “unidentified clear fluid”, and the baby’s skull was broken like a jigsaw puzzle.  Damn those baby-raping, infant-abusing bathtubs, huh?
Otwell and his girlfriend, who isn’t being named because she is not a suspect, took the baby to the hospital on Monday afternoon. The baby was apparently injured while his mother was at work, and guess who was babysitting? I know, right? I’m shocked. Are you shocked? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
ER staff found that the baby boy had multiple bruises on the back and sides of his head with accompanying skull fractures. His little genitals were red and swollen, his anus was ripped, and he had other bruises. InsideInside reviews
the diaper, nurses found blood and the above-mentioned unidentified clear liquid. Anyone else wanna hazard a guess as to what that was? I’d rather not think about it, if you don’t mind.
On Monday, Kevin Otwell said that he was giving his girlfriend’s son a bath. While he was bathing the infant, Otwell said, the boy slipped out of his wet hands and fell about three feet into a plastic baby bathtub. But on Tuesday, after CT scans and X-rays were done, the baby was diagnosed with “multiple skull fractures similar to a jigsaw puzzle.â€
On Thursday, Kevin Otwell was questioned again – but this time, he changed his story a little bit. Investigators told Captain Obvious that baby bathtubs don’t cause multiple skull fractures or rape infants. So Otwell says, well, maybe he did drop the baby twice, instead of once. And maybe he heard the baby “hit something” the first time he fell, but Kevin, who is observant as well as brilliant, didn’t know what it was. Then Kevin said he had dropped the baby a second time onto a tile floor from shoulder height and that the baby’s head bounced on the tile floor.
Oh, and the anal rape? Kevin said that he generally would make sure baby was squeaky clean inside and out by using his finger to insert a baby wipe about an inch into the baby’s anus. And that maybe he kinda usually wiped the baby’s genitals hard with the wipes, which could have caused them to swell and redden.
At that point, investigators did not shove a hot poker up Kevin Andrew Otwell’s ass. Neither did they stitch his mouth closed with barbed wire and introduce him to Big Leroy. Instead, they arrested him on Thursday evening.
Kevin Andrew Otwell is charged with sexual assault of a child under age 12, child abuse and child neglect causing great harm. He is being held at the Alachua County jail on bonds totaling $260,000. If anyone knows Big Leroy, please give him a call. Kevin could use a visitor.

I’d wondered about that, but so far, he’s only being reported as the mother’s boyfriend. Of course, it’s possible that he is the father. It’s also possible that she decided she liked him better than the baby’s biodad, or the biodad is uninvolved or unaware.
Since I haven’t got anything concrete (like the actual arrest affidavits), I’m hopeful that someone who knows for sure what the baby’s paternity is will show up and let us know.

Kaden–no one’s turning their sights to Carol, other than to check out the way she projects herself on her myspace site. No one’s trying to label her anything at all other than what she labels herself as there.
If you care about her, you might want to suggest she take down her bong-hitting pic, for instance. Putting up a publically viewable picture of yourself hitting a bong isn’t a great idea. Especially if there’s any chance your kid could get removed from your custody for some reason–like, because your BF raped your kid.
The only reason anyone was looking at her site is because the way she displays herself could suggest something about her judgment.

I don’t think there’s any type of punishment that would be suitable for this rat bastard baby-raper. I don’t know how they kept the baby’s mother from tearing him to pieces. I for one would like to thank you for speaking.
I gather everyone here feels the same in regards to sick fucks like this guy-we hate him and them and anyone like him. Instinctively as parents, we tend to react and always ask “Why would she leave her baby with anyone new to the picture?” I can only assume that he was new or if he was the father-then it’s hard to question any of it. No one here knows your exact circumstances and certainly you trusted this guy. You gotta work and take care of your child and that is understandable.
For me, allow me to say thanks for the update-I have 10 month old daughter and my heart aches everytime I think of such things taking place with other babies. I know that someone would be deader than a doornell with my bare hands! I am grateful for you, that your son is okay and will be okay. He is 2 months old and the positive is that he will probably never remember what happened to him. Hopefully there is no long term damage.
That being said-bless you and bless your baby’s little heart. I am just happy to hear that he is going to be okay. I hope you can find a way to get through and deal with what has taken place-hopefully think twice and question your own trust-before leaving him with anyone ever again.
