Lakeville, MN – Which resulted in the assault of a mentally disabled man.  Way to get that attention you were so obviously craving, emo kid!  After Natasha Dahn, 16, told her boyfriend that Justin Hamilton, 24, had hit her and assaulted her, John Maniglia, 19, rounded up three buddies to go take care of business.

Natasha lured Hamilton, who suffers from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, by suggesting he go out with her on FridayFriday reviewsFriday reviews night.  Natasha arrived, accompanied by Timothy Ketterling, 21, who is also mentally disabled.  Also in the car were Natasha’s boyfriend Maniglia, (MyspaceMySpaceMySpace) and 21-year-old Jon Diepold (Myspace).

The group drove Justin Hamilton and to a secluded location in southern Dakota County, where he was assaulted over several hours on both Friday and SaturdaySaturday reviewsSaturday reviews nights. Timothy Ketterling allegedly went along and helped assault his friend on Friday, although at least one of the charges against Ketterling has now been dropped.

On Friday night, Diepold and Maniglia  punched, hit and kicked Hamilton repeatedly, telling him that “You don’t hit women!”

As the night wore on, the men started to demand money or property from Justin, who told the men that he had a few Xbox games at home.  A few hours later, Timothy Ketterling drove the group to Justin Hamilton’s house, where Hamilton gave the men the games.  At that point, Hamilton was allowed to go back into the house, and he thought his ordeal was over.

Now, I don’t know what happened during the day on Saturday, but somehow Natasha Dahn got Justin Hamilton to go out with her that evening, even after being beaten up by her friends on Friday night.  Hamilton’s adoptive mother says that Justin was threatened with another, worse beating if he told anyone, so he didn’t.  Hamilton was with Dahn when Diepold and Maniglia pulled up in a truck and forced Justin to get in.  Natasha followed.  Their friend Glen Ries, 33,  was driving.

Saturday’s beating was worse than the previous night.   Maniglia and Diepold started the beatdown over again and punched, kicked and beat Hamilton with a baton. The men tied him to a tree with a belt and burned him with a cigarette lighter and a heated credit card. Mercifully, Justin Hamilton appears to have lost consciousness during part of his torture.   Natasha Dahn helped out by egging on the men and taking a few kicks at Hamilton herself, because she’s nice like that.

When Justin Hamilton was released on foot, he was badly hurt but managed to get to a highway, where a passing driver found him and took him into the police station.   From there, police officers took Hamilton to a hospital.   According to the arrest affidavits, Hamilton was “bruised and cut from head to toe, with two broken ribs and burns from a cigarette lighter”.

Police issued warrants for all five suspects.  When they pulled over Glen Ries, they found Justin Hamilton’s wallet and a baton used in the attack in his truck.

And as it turned out, Justin Hamilton never hit or assaulted Natasha Dahn at all.  She made the whole thing up to get attention from her boyfriend.

To make matters worse, both Maniglia and Diepold are in the National Guard – Maniglia, a private first class, and Diepold, a private, joined in the fall of 2007.

All five suspects have been arrested and are charged with multiple crimes.

Natasha Dahn is a juvenile, but prosecutors are seeking to have her certified as an adult to face multiple felony charges including kidnapping, robbery and assault.  She is being held at the Ramsey County Juvenile Detention Center.

John Maniglia and Jonathon Diepold are charged with two counts each of kidnapping, false imprisonment and fourth-degree assault motivated by bias, and one count each of aggravated robbery, third-degree assault and theft.

Glen Ries, who had previously passed two criminal background checks in order to work with developmentally disabled adults, is now charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, third-degree assault and fourth-degree assault motivated by bias.

Timothy Ketterling is charged with false imprisonment, theft and third-degree assault.

Justin Hamilton’s family has set up a trust fund to help with costs of his care.  Donations can be sent to: Wells Fargo Bank/For the benefit of Justin Charles Hamilton, 16817 Duluth Av. SE., Prior Lake, MN 55372.

    Where to begin…

First, ladies, when you take pictures trying to look “hard”, you just look ugly. Especially when you throw up wannabe gang signs. Especially when you’re from middle-America.

I really hope this little cunt is certified as an adult. And, while I almost sympathize with the boyfriend who was manipulated by a teenager (BTW, any word on how old the boyfriend is?), they took it WAY THE FUCK too far. And anyone besides the boyfriend who involved themselves? Scurvy little sons of bitches. If your “homeboy” can’t take care 0f shit himself, none of you should be fighting. It’s not your business.

Lastly, let this be a lesson to idiot men who “valiently” want to avenge some bullshit that happened to their girlfriends/wives/sisters/etc. Bitches LIE sometimes. Tell her to go to the cops if she’s that concerned.

The wannabe gang signs are just the icing on this fallen cake. On her myspace page, there’s a needle-dicked white supremicist asshole as one of her friends. His avatar is some kind of “White Power” seal. May explain a lot. Sometimes the personal choices of friends is a true reflection of the real jerk-off inside.

Torturing someone mentally disabled is no deferent than doing it to a child. I hope these creeps get what they deserve. Ries and Dahn deserve a little extra intensive care, maybe they’d find burning credit card tag fun

Or vice-versa. This is why I tell parents that, in raising a child, the number one battle is guiding their choice of friends. Once a kid falls into “the wrong crowd”, nearly all is lost, as friends are typically the driving influence in a child’s behavior. Put ‘em into soccer or football or softball as a kid – not for the sake of scholarships or even to keep them fit…but to keep them out of jail.

But she is a piece of work and she needs her clock cleaned if you know what i mean. How mean people are ya know?

How true, Athena. Let your children choose what they would like to do in their “spare” activity time, but you still need to keep an eye on them, ya’ know? We also got to know the parents, also a good way to see how they interact with their own children.

Some of these myspace pages are quite telling if you ask me. I was the mom who ran the home like a “boot camp” (their words, not mine) but I wasn’t a total control freak. We gave them just enough rope but they knew the rules and more often than not, everything went fine (for fear of losing their car keys, which meant they couldn’t go anywhere).

These are just horrible, awful people.

It’s always about playing the invisible puppet master. You can never just put the smack down and forbid a kid to hang out with certain individuals…that just causes them to go underground with it, which puts you in an even worse spot.

Most kids make their friends in the neighborhood you live in or at school and after-school programs. While you may not have control over the specific individuals, you can exercise some influence over the caliber of individual your child will be exposed to. This is why crime is perpetuated by socio-economic status – any kid can be bad, but money allows you to limit that chance, by moving to a nice neighborhood, involving them in sports and encouraging their participation in honors-level classes and such.

It played out quite blatantly between my sister and I. We were raised by the same parents, in the same house, only 4 1/2 years apart. I was a great kid – academically successful, athletic, obedient. My parents mistakenly loosened the reins on my little sister, thinking, “Hell, the first one was so easy, maybe we don’t have to be AS strict.” She fell into the wrong crowd in middle school and it spun out of control quicker than anyone could realize what was going on. She flunked her freshman year of HS, struggled with a drug problem, police involvement…

All because my parents failed to influence her choice in friends. It’s a lesson I’d rather my friends with children don’t have to learn first hand. I ended up having to pick up the pieces, taking custody of my sister and moving across town to help keep her away from the bad elements. Luckily, she straightened out almost immediately – no more fights, no more drugs, and a HS diploma. It was a scary illustration of just how much power a kid’s friends wield over them.

What a gang of douchebags. And our wannabe here, isn’t she a world class assmunch? Her boyfriend, John “Max” Maniglia, apparently likes his women very young, very scuzzy, and very, very stupid. The fact that she got them to go back to give poor Justin over a second beat down, this time complete with a torture session, makes Natasha an especially vicious bitch, and I hope she gets tried as an adult.

Wow…like life didn’t suck enough for that poor guy – FAS is no frigging picnic and you can probably imagine that

    A) He still lives with his bio parents – which if he has FAS, their parenting skills are clearly not stellar.

    B) He was adopted – which I suppose is the better of the two options, but comes with its own challenges.

What a complete cunt she must be to wish this kind of pain on someone clearly disabled and innocent of the crap she accused him of!

Hats off to you Athena!! That’s what I meant by noticing the parents and their interactions with their children.

You can tell the Disney parents versus the parents who actually are involved. Not that we were perfect parents, but our boys went to a high end (wealthy neighborhoods) public high school. I quit my full-time job when the oldest entered high school so I could be there when they got home. We knew, for the most part, what was going on most of the time.

But we were lucky. Our house, small as it was, was the house where the kids hung out. Our rule, gone by midnight, except prom night when we had 12 kids at our house (very long night for us old folks, but we knew where they were). If the parents of kids who were staying with us didn’t call me, I made sure I contacted them. Couldn’t even believe parents didn’t call and check where their kids were staying.
This was in 1999. Same exact thing in 2001 when youngest graduated.

Rule: Once they got there, they could NOT leave. Period. It’s so much easier than bailing your kids out later on. They didn’t so much like it then, but now they’re both doing just fine and I have a beautiful granddaughter.

You can be your child’s friend, but first you’re a parent. And sometimes you need to discreetly lead them in the right direction; and it usually works out if you don’t push.

Athena, I hope you and your sister remain close.

Hey Rory, as Athena said above, a peace sign is with fingers up, when made like that in the pic, it’s gang or wanna be gang signs. And it does make her look uglier than she already is.

Stupid fucking little cunt. I really hope they try her as an adult and then let the gals in prison show her what torture really is. I’m all for “an eye for and eye” ect…

Here’s the comments I posted on the guys myspace blogs (the pedophile part was added for the bf’s blog)….

You guys are fucked… I’d understand wanting to defend a girls honor if you believed she truly was assaulted but, you guys tortured a mentally disabled man for two fucking days ! You tie him to a tree, beat him with a baton, punched him, kicked him, burned him with a lighter, burned him with a hot credit card, and left him with two broken ribs and covered in cuts, bruises, and burns !!! AND you top it all off with stealing his fucking x-box games !!!

At any point when this grown mentally disabled man was crying out for his mother or pleading for mercy, did you ever say to yourself “hmmm, something about this seems wrong” ? I don’t want a p.o.s. like you being anyone that I have to rely on to serve my country when you don’t have the fucking sense to know right from wrong…. no, fuck right from wrong… you knew what you were doing and it was pure torture, on a man with the mind of a child no less !!! The only difference between doing that to this poor man and doing it to an 8 y/o little boy is, his height… do you get that you sick fuck ? I hope to God you get the same treatment in prison that you dished out to this poor guy !

Oh yeah and to top it off … YOUR A FUCKING PEDOPHILE !!!! Nice job DOUCHE-NOZZLE !!!

No one else has mentioned this, and I am concerned…I might need a new monitor. Does she have a mustache with a shit-brown ring around her mouth? And, what’s with the pink, cauliflower shaped bumper-guard on her chin? That is not sexy. It could just be, after having had a chance to know a little bit about someone, this is how “I” seem them. To be fair, from now on, I will look at the picture first.

She’s pursing her lips a little bit, which, yes, makes her look like she has a mustache with a shit-brown ring around her mouth, LOL. Or maybe she’s pursing her lips AND has a mustache.

“You’re in charge of the fish hooks. I’ll start gathering my credit cards. We’ll also need some rope, a sturdy tree, a lighter, and a baton, although to be honest, if anyone has a two-by-four with glass shards poking out of it, I’ll use it; I’m not picky.

I’m excited, this is my first endeavor in vigilantism. (sp?)”

You know,I am still just blown away that they burnt him with credit cards and beat him with a baton!
    Just down right cruel.
No respect for human life whatsoever.

LIke I said if it weren’t illegal I’d gather a posse with you as my captain and we’d inflict the same horrors she inflicted on that poor man.

I hope he recovers and by the grace of God forgets about this attack and is able to move forward with his life.
I also hope that she withers away in prison and has a terrible time in there.
It made me cry as well.
I really sincerely hope the laws are tougher on those who hurt the handicapped or otherwise defenseless.
This cold hearted bitch deserves a lifetime in prison.
She knew what she was doing and she knew it was wrong and she didn’t care one bit.I hope her age doesn’t deflect from the crime and they punish her with the maximum sentence.

a peace sign is with fingers up

,and in SOME places doing that is the exact same as giving the middle finger…

It seems like I learn something new everyday. A piece sign with the fingers up is the same as flipping a bird? Where? Is this where you live?

Hey Rory, as Athena said above, a peace sign is with fingers up, when made like that in the pic, it’s gang or wanna be gang signs. And it does make her look uglier than she already is.

I might be older than dirt but, yes, peace signs most definitely point “up”. Now, if it has a flickering tongue in the middle… :D

Hey, dude, maybe it’s a regional thing. But when kids around these here parts throw an upside down “peace” sign like that, they’re trying to look hood…”gangsta”. I’m a 26 year old living in an urban environment and am very well familiar with the implications of this type of gesture. Maybe you’re in the mid-west like this chick, saw Fiddy Cent do it on MTV and thought it looked cool, but throwin’ it up in that particular way is absolutely reminiscent of throwin’ gang signs, whether you happen to agree or not. If she wasn’t trying to look hood, she would have held it upright, like most people who make a peace sign.

Your absolutely right… I’m 26 too and I’m from Shreveport, La. (moved to Colorado a yr. ago though) and alot of younger people do it and it’s called chuckin’ deuce. The funniest thing about it is, it’s usually the white kids that are trying to act “hood” that do it…. I have my own theory on it : I think that it’s the kids that are trying to be ghetto but, are to afraid to get their ass beat for throwin’ gang signs so, they just “chuck deuce”.
Here’s an excerpt from the ever-so illustrious urban dictionary:
    chuckin the deuce -
crackers give the peace sign, pimps chuck the deuce. so one more reason it aint cool to be white.

Now, since we’re on the subject… here’s a funny video called “White Chicks and Gang Signs”

No,its not from where i live, its from the U.K.,and if your “older than dirt” and you didnt know that,i dunno what to tell you :-P

…And for WHATEVER reason people keep pointing out that “there 26 and live somewhere” thats fine and dandy,i am not here on an “age debate”,but if you MUST KNOW,i am 30y/o…Whooo cares, right?,I knooow…LOL
