ABC News is reporting that Casey may choose to represent herself on the first-degree murder charge. Doing so would allow her to use taxpayer money to help pay for portions of the investigation. Attorney Jose Baez could remain available to her as a consultant.

Orlando, FL (October 14, 2008) – In the biggest breaking news since her daughter Caylee was reported missing, 22-year-old Casey Anthony was indicted this afternoon by a Florida grand jury on seven counts, including first-degree murder. 

This is the best news I’ve heard! I had to step away from reading about this case, because of anger, sadness… and i simply got tired of being bombarded daily with Casey, Casey Casey! I don’t know about anywhere else but here in central Fl – That is all we heard about from TOO LONG!

It’s finally happened, that little witch and I use the term loosely is FINALLY going to have to answer for what she did to her precious angel. Hello everybody! I have not posted in some time, but I promise you, I have read every post and have been here with you all along. Every time I wanted to say something, someone would state it so much better. I didn’t want to duplicate. I just wanted ALL of you know what truly amazing people you are. You really are Caylee’s true family and have demanded justice for this sweet baby and now it looks like that may actually happen. This is the best site with members who show boundless amounts of wit, common sense, wisdom, compassion, friendship and love. All the things her real family didn’t show. I love all of you and you all should be very proud of how you held a never ending vigil for our darling Caylee.

I’ll admit it – I too was pissed off at George this entire time. But let’s look at this from his point of view. He’s living with the two most wretched women on the face of the earth, dealing with their bullshit constantly. He’s clearly got anger issues. I’m sure that the attorneys had advised him and Cindy that they needed to provide a unified front.

Testifying today about the death of his granddaughter must have killed him inside. I saw his statement before he went into court. I was in tears.

Claddaghgirl, thank you for being our morning sunshine, greeter and well-wisher. I signed off this morning before I could wish you a good day as well…and a good day it turned out to be. Actually, a wonderful day! The end result now makes the suspense and anxiety of the day worth while. Believe it, or not, I was actually expected to teach small children, meet with parents, etc…, as if there were no GH proceedings taking place! I spent nearly every free moment sneaking to my computer to get updates, but as of the end of my work day, nothing. After school, I had a dentist appointment, which I considered rescheduling. If I hadn’t made it 6 months ago, it would have been changed. I rushed from the dentist’s office to the car to turn on the news. Still nothing. FINALLY…on my way home from Wally-World on Sirius Patriot Radio I heard the wonderful news. I broke into tears and couldn’t stop sobbing. (I’m sure people passing me on the road and stopped at the traffic lights were wondering!) There is a God, and he loves us…and Caylee, especially.

Maybe everyone will finally be able to sleep peacefully tonight…oh, with the exception of Casevil, of course. It’s going to be a bit tough getting a good night’s sleep while keeping one eye opened. (GA and CA can probably relate to that!)

I do have to say that I feel badly for George. It must have been a tough thing to do – to have to testify against his own child, evil as she is.

On another note: I had heard about an article of clothing that was found that was sent for testing. As much as I’d like this to be her dress, for the mere fact that they would be closer to finding her; I just really don’t think so. I have a daughter that is 3 months younger than Caylee and she is big for her age (31 lbs and 38 in. tall) and there is no way that a size 6 would fit her. My daughter wears size 4 and 4T.

Ironically I am sitting in class “courts and jurisdicitions” as I read this. I am so excited that finally justice of our sweet angel will come! I feel like I could burst out in tears and I just might as soon as class is over.

After hooting and a hollering, I’m now so sad. I’ve been on this site since day one and rarely post, but am glued to it. I was out today and am just catching up. Finally….is all I can say. I was so focused on the bitch that now reality is setting in on how Caylee’s short lived life ended. They said “great bodily harm” was done to her. Sorry, don’t mean to be a downer but it’s just really sinking in on this level now. I was never on DD before this case, and there are so many wonderful people here, I will continue to stay through this case and I’m sure others….although it does get to you. I do some volunteer work at my county’s Advocates for Children Shelter and due to this case, will make this a “high” priority in my life, not just a monthly weekend warrior. OMG everyone! I was jumping up and down and my kids started jumping up and down. Then they were looking at me like, “Why are we jumping up and down?” I ran out of the kitchen to see the TV and turned the burners off. I guess in my excitement I turned the oven off too so about 10 minutes before my meatloaf was supposed to be done I realized the oven wasn’t even on! I had to re-heat the rest of the food when it was finally finished. My husband thought I had lost it.

Then I did, too, cry tears for Caylee – for the nightmare she lived. Poor baby girl. I am SO happy Casevil is finally going to pay.

Audio Of Secret Proceedings Mistakenly Broadcast Outside Courtroom

ORLANDO, Fla. — Audio of a grand jury’s secret proceedings in the nationally-watched case of Casey Anthony was mistakenly sent outside the courtroom and to all media outlets plugged into the courthouse system.

“I don’t know what was listened to or what was heard until the time that it was turned off,” Orange County Chief Judge Belven Perry said. “Everyone who may have heard needs to govern themselves accordingly.”

Tuesday afternoon, Casey Anthony was accused in the indictment of killing her daughter even though the child’s body has not been found.

A grand jury returned charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter and four counts of lying to investigators against Casey Anthony in the death of her daughter, Caylee, State Attorney Lawson Lamar said.

However, before the indictment, Local 6 crews realized that audio from the grand jury’s secret meeting on the 23rd floor of the Orange County courthouse was being piped out of the building.

Court officers and the state attorney’s office were immediately notified of the breach.

After a flurry of activity that could be witnessed outside the grand jury room, the audio feed was cut off and proceedings were suspended.

Perry said court administration was to blame for the mistake. He said the state attorney’s office had nothing to do with the mistake.

Casey Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez was notified of the breach.

“This should have been a secret proceeding,” Baez said. “There is so much that should not have been leaked and has. It is making a joke of the whole situation. It is a sad day for justice.”

Baez said he is researching whether the breach could impact the murder indictment.

Perry warned anyone who heard anything that they should not reveal what they learned under threat of contempt of court.

It is not known if the breach could jeopardize the state’s case against Casey Anthony but the state attorney said he does not think it will have an impact on the indictment.

Geez, no Casey yet, maybe Bertha got to her already….one can only hope….

On another note: I had heard about an article of clothing that was found that was sent for testing. As much as I’d like this to be her dress, for the mere fact that they would be closer to finding her; I just really don’t think so. I have a daughter that is 3 months younger than Caylee and she is big for her age (31 lbs and 38 in. tall) and there is no way that a size 6 would fit her. My daughter wears size 4 and 4T.

Ya know, i have to agree on the size being too big……but, I have bags and bags of clothes handed down from friends, family, my other children….AND I also have clothes hung in the closet with the tags still on that I got my toddler (4T and such) on clearance at old navy, Gap, JCPenny and such. Maybe someone had given that to Caylee or Cindy bought in on Sale (or even Casey got a 5 finger discount). Caylee may have seen it and wanted to wear it even though it was too big (it doesn’t necessarily have to be the one in the pic….just similar they said). Casey prob threw it in her trunk at some point. then when she disposed of “the body” and the trunk was still smelly, she may have stopped and disposed of anything with “body” still on it……Just a theory. My daughter would wanna wear stuff too big and stuff, Casey would just let her do it rather than have to deal with her.

I AM SOOOOO HAPPY today!!! I have to take my son to the orthopedic DR this mornin to get cleared from having to wear a brace for football from now on….so i’ll be leaving shortly. Just wanted to say GOOD MORNING to all and I hope our day today is as spectacular as yesterday! Saw a video on WFTV this AM with George outside his house. He is going to talk to some of his feeble minded neighbors (his words) because they think Casey killed Caylee.

I haven’t had a chance to watch it but I heard he was mad at the neighbors because they said something about everything being over now and they were relieved – and he got mad saying it wasn’t over because they haven’t found Caylee yet – and she is still alive – and Casey wouldn’t do that – and blah, blah, blah. Any sympathy I had for him yesterday went right out the window.
