14, 2008) – In the biggest breaking news since her daughter Caylee was reported missing, 22-year-old Casey Anthony was indicted this afternoon by a Florida grand jury on seven counts, including first-degree murder.  The sealed indictment was issued this afternoon by the grand jury, who deliberated for less than an hour after they heard testimony this morning in the case.  Late this afternoon, Casey Anthony turned herself in at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
State Attorney Lawson Lamar just released the following information on the indictment against Casey Anthony:
The first count of the indictment is for a capital offense. Casey is accused of the first-degree murder of two-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony “by premeditated design” sometime between June 15 and July 16.
Count two is for aggravated child abuse: Casey is accused of “causing great bodily harm” to Caylee by intentionally or deliberately inflicting injury onto Caylee or causing the injury to happen.
Count three is aggravated manslaughter. As Caylee’s caregiver, Casey allegedly failed to give Caylee what was needed for her physical or mental health or to protect her from abuse that caused her death.
Count four alleges that Casey was lying to Detective Yuri Melich when she said she worked at Universal Studios in 2008.
Count five says Casey lied to Det. Melich about leaving Caylee with a nanny (or anyone at all, for that matter) named Zenaida Gonzalez.
Count six alleges that Casey lied to Yuri Melich when she said that she told two former Universal Studios employees, Juliette Lewis and Jeff Hopkins, that Caylee was missing.
Count seven alleges that Casey lied to Melich when she said that she got a phone call from Caylee on July 15.
Early Wednesday morning, Casey Anthony was bound over for trial on all seven charges and ordered held without bail.

It’s about friggin time!!!!! Damn, now the stupid defense attorneys on Nancy Grace can’t say “Well if they had anything, they would have charged her by now!!!”. I was SO fucking tired of hearing that excuse. Wonder what they’ll come up with now?

ABC News is reporting that Casey may choose to represent herself on the first-degree murder charge. Doing so would allow her to use taxpayer money to help pay for portions of the investigation. Attorney Jose Baez could remain available to her as a consultant.

I gave out such a whoop that my family thought I finally totally lost it over this case.
Last nite when CA said Casey was as much as a victim in all this as Caylee I started swearing so much it would make a sailor blush. Not words I usually use. I was so PO’d enough that I just started in. I apologized to them but did not take back the words that Casey was such a f’n cunt (not what I blurted last nite!) that I hoped she rotted in hell.

OMG, I’ve been waiting to post over here! Wow, I can’t believe today has finally come. I’ve been around every day but I haven’t had much to say because it’s been the same ol’ same ol’ regarding the ASSony’s..
It’s finally happened, that little witch and I use the term loosely is FINALLY going to have to answer for what she did to her precious angel. Nothing could make me happier.. well, I take that back, the death penalty would make me jump for joy and usually I don’t support it.. but to let her live her life, even in prison is too good for her. It’s not like all those years would grow her a conscience. Justice is coming sweet Caylee.
I’ve heard that another arrest may be coming soon.. could it be Lee?

One more thing on Casey repping herself….if she truly goes forward with it, the county/state will have to pay to test the evidence and pay JB for advising her.
Sounds like JB has been doing some hard thinking on how to get paid…..this is not in his client’s best interest, but I don’t care one iota about his client.

Hello everybody! I have not posted in some time, but I promise you, I have read every post and have been here with you all along. Every time I wanted to say something, someone would state it so much better. I didn’t want to duplicate. I just wanted ALL of you know what truly amazing people you are. You really are Caylee’s true family and have demanded justice for this sweet baby and now it looks like that may actually happen. This is the best site with members who show boundless amounts of wit, common sense, wisdom, compassion, friendship and love. All the things her real family didn’t show. I love all of you and you all should be very proud of how you held a never ending vigil for our darling Caylee.

The right to represent oneself in court is not absolute, a judge can rule that a person does not have the capacity….and do you really think that Casey, a high school drop out, will be given the opportunity? I would say absolutely not, but then this is Florida, and its Planet Anthony…

Will the judge really let her represent herself for a murder trial? Someone on here said that Baez couldn’t do it because he didn’t meet the minimum qualifications. If he doesn’t, Casey sure as hell doesn’t!

Yippee, I am so happy that this beotch is gonna sit her happy ass in a cell knowing that her games didn’t work. I pray she is in general population and all those lovely ladies give her a big welcoming party. Baez looks like an idiot and he is letting her take him down the path to destruction with her. I’ll admit it – I too was pissed off at George this entire time. But let’s look at this from his point of view. He’s living with the two most wretched women on the face of the earth, dealing with their bullshit constantly. He’s clearly got anger issues. I’m sure that the attorneys had advised him and Cindy that they needed to provide a unified front.
Testifying today about the death of his granddaughter must have killed him inside. I saw his statement before he went into court. I was in tears.

Claddaghgirl, thank you for being our morning sunshine, greeter and well-wisher. I signed off this morning before I could wish you a good day as well…and a good day it turned out to be. Actually, a wonderful day! The end result now makes the suspense and anxiety of the day worth while. Believe it, or not, I was actually expected to teach small children, meet with parents, etc…, as if there were no GH proceedings taking place! I spent nearly every free moment sneaking to my computer to get updates, but as of the end of my work day, nothing. After school, I had a dentist appointment, which I considered rescheduling. If I hadn’t made it 6 months ago, it would have been changed. I rushed from the dentist’s office to the car to turn on the news. Still nothing. FINALLY…on my way home from Wally-World on Sirius Patriot Radio I heard the wonderful news. I broke into tears and couldn’t stop sobbing. (I’m sure people passing me on the road and stopped at the traffic lights were wondering!) There is a God, and he loves us…and Caylee, especially.
Maybe everyone will finally be able to sleep peacefully tonight…oh, with the exception of Casevil, of course. It’s going to be a bit tough getting a good night’s sleep while keeping one eye opened. (GA and CA can probably relate to that!)
I do have to say that I feel badly for George. It must have been a tough thing to do – to have to testify against his own child, evil as she is.
Thank you all for being my therapy during this ordeal. Now, we must await the trial…and all the BS from JB & Co. in the meantime. Ugh.

The entire time I have followed this story, all I can think about is how this incessant Bitch can continue to function knowing that her baby is out there somewhere alone-with no one to say goodbye to her or give her a respectable place to spend eternity. There is no way to visit her or say hello. Fuck! this Bitch blows big time. We all know that the poor little thing is gone-my only hope now is that she give it up-tell where she is. In my opinion not knowing where she is seems to be just as painful as knowing she is gone.

Hallelujah!!! Finally….I really am relieved at this news. I do still wish that Caylee would be found.
On another note: I had heard about an article of clothing that was found that was sent for testing. As much as I’d like this to be her dress, for the mere fact that they would be closer to finding her; I just really don’t think so. I have a daughter that is 3 months younger than Caylee and she is big for her age (31 lbs and 38 in. tall) and there is no way that a size 6 would fit her. My daughter wears size 4 and 4T.

Ironically I am sitting in class “courts and jurisdicitions” as I read this. I am so excited that finally justice of our sweet angel will come! I feel like I could burst out in tears and I just might as soon as class is over.
My heart is torn for George too. Yes he did wait too long to speak, but the spot he was in had to be heartbreaking as well..

I can only pray that the trial is televised and takes place during the summer, or I’m going to have to figure out some way to claim disability. There is NO way I’d be able to work!!!
