Pastor Steve Richardson Is “Girlpedolover”

Royse City, TX – After a year-long investigation in which seasoned task force agents said “Holy crap” a lot, Methodist minister Steve Richardson was arrested Wednesday on child pornography charges. For the last two years, Richardson has been the pastor of First United Methodist Church in Royse City, Texas, a town just east of Dallas. He is married and a father of three – two boys and an infant girl adopted from Ethiopia during the investigation into his online activities.
Pastor Steve is not the brightest bulb in the socket, Southern Methodist University degree or no. I really am at the point where I think that the divinity schools need to launch a new course in their curriculum: How Not To Disgrace Your Entire Religion For Dummies. Richardson is such a tool that he actually traded child erotica and child pornography under the email addresses “girlpedolover@yahoo.com” and “girlpedolover@hushmail.com” Why? Because Steve Richardson is the worst kind of assclown pedophile ever. His flock will say that he was sick, that he wanted to get caught. I say he thought nobody would ever suspect him, and he got lazy.
It’s a good thing, too, with that new baby in the house. Because some of the images Richardson was trading involved sexual activity on infants. INFANTS. So far, it does not appear that Richardson’s own children were in any of the pictures traded by him, which is a small blessing, I suppose. Then again, the investigation isn’t over yet. The Immigration Customs Enforcement bureau is still going through stuff.
The investigation into Pastor Steve Richardson started a year ago, when a child porn investigation kept turning up the name “cowboysspades”. That name is Richardson’s Google Hello photo trading user name. The email address associated with that account was “girlpedolover@hushmail.com”. A man who was arrested in the September 2007 bust said that “cowboysspades” had sent him “homemade” child pornography images during the three months prior to his arrest. The ICE put an agent on Richardson, and waited. In December 2007, “cowboysspades” sent one kiddie porn pic to the undercover agent, along with five other images of what is classified as “child erotica” – meaning that it’s not dirty enough to be porn, but it showed a clothed child in sexual poses.
In February 2008, the same undercover ICE agent got another five images of child erotica from “cowboysspades.” Again, the photos showed clothed children in sexual situations. However, there was no doubt about intent – Richardson was clearly using the photos as teasers for other, more explicit pictures to follow.
From the US Attorney’s Office statement on this case: Further forensic investigation revealed additional chats between cowboysspades and others. In one, cowboysspades received and distributed dozens of images of child pornography including several images of infants engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Investigators dotted their i’s and crossed their Ts, matching up Richardson’s user names and email addresses with GoogleGoogle
records, e-mail servers and IP addresses. It was pretty easy to link “cowboysspades” and the “girlpedolover” email accounts to a Steve Richardson of Royse City, Texas, the U.S. Attorney’sAttorney reviews
office said. Especially since one of the IPs used came from the church.
On Wednesday, Pastor Steve was arrested as his office at the church. After his arrest, Richardson admitted to an ICE agent that he used the name “cowboysspades.” He also admitted to trading child pornography on his work computer, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
So.. wait. He was trading kiddie porn FROM CHURCH? Of course he was. Right after Children’s Church, no doubt.
Immediately upon hearing of Richardson’s arrest, the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church suspended him, saying, “The church holds the sanctity of the pastoral office and the place of the church as an environment of safety and security for all an absolute value.”
Before taking over the ministry at First United Methodist of Royse City, Richardson pastored for five years at the First United Methodist Church in Boyd, Texas. I know the Methodists like to move ‘em around every so often, but it makes one wonder if there was a little red flag somewhere, doesn’t it?
The investigation into Pastor Steve Richardson is ongoing. Currently, he is charged with transporting child pornography. Other charges may be forthcoming.

This just disguest me. All his parishoners probably thought he was doing a great thing by helping a child in need from another country, some might of wanted to follow in his footsteps. What a waste, uggghhhh!

The adoption process in African countries has alarmed me because I work in the courts and am all too aware of abuses of children and what easy prey these precious children could become. A close relative of mine and her husband recently adopted two children from Liberia. It takes plenty of financial resources to arrange the travel, etc. but otherwise, the qualifications are minimal. As they went through the process I became increasingly worried of pedophiles using the African crisis situation as an open invitation to bring children into their homes to freely molest. African families are desperate to free their babies and children from starvation. Those of us in the countries of the adopting parent(s) should be especially vigilant.

I am really hopeful that the child porn described in the US Attorney General’s Office statement as “homemade” was made long ago, in someone else’s home. Child porn is horrible. It’s even more horrible when the perps make it themselves. I keep hoping that the stuff Pastor Steve was trading was stuff he’d gotten from someone else.
Otherwise, people really better be looking at what the kids are learning in Sunday School at First United Methodist of Royse City – or Boyd.

I am new here and have wanted to comment on so many different stories..I guess this will be my first.
I hope this guy gets a razor blade colonoscopy.
Not only did he pretend to be a man of God he also slapped him in the face by doing such things in God’s house.
He knew what he was doing was wrong…obviously!
I am repulsed that he adopted a poor defenseless little girl I hope he didn’t do anything to her.
I also hope that he didn’t touch any of the children in his church.

They should instead be arranging a public lynching for him.
All children he had “contact” with should be questioned just to make sure he didn’t do anything to them.

This is exactly why my baby stays with ME when we go to church. I’ve learned the hard way that you never really know someone and this just further proves it. It disgusts me how people are sticking up for him. This isn’t a case of mistaken identity–he admitted to doing it, even at church! I wouldn’t risk my baby’s life and wellbeing hoping that it was just “a mistake”. Child pornography isn’t a mistake, it should be a death sentence.

I was just looking at Pastor Steve’s Myspace and two comments from a 16 yr old girl named “Kell Belle” caught my eye, so I checked out her Myspace to see if he had responded to her. After 24 mind-numbing pages of teenage drivel, I found his response. This is their little exchange:

LE should definitely check into this girl…..sounds like she may know more about ol’ Pastor Steve than a lot of other people do.

This is a website accessible to the public, KT. Pastor Steven traded in child porn, which is illegal, unethical, and immoral. He also got caught. The story was reported widely on the news, making it public knowledge. This is less “talking trash” and more “discussing the news.” If Pastor Steve and/or his congregation didn’t want people talking about his abhorrent child porn habit, maybe he should have, um…*not collected and traded child porn.*
As for “not crossing the line” and molesting his own child—or any other child—unfortunately you can’t possibly know whether or not Pastor Steve did. Only Pastor Steve himself (and possibly whatever child or children he molested, in the event he actually did molest a child or children) can know for certain whether he did or did not act on his pedophilic impulses.
Either way, it’s our First Amendment right to discuss the charges against him on this website.

I say it takes ALL away from him being a great pastor, father and husband. In fact it makes him a really shitty pastor, father and husband. He’s betrayed all who believed he really was any of the above.
I knew somebody like this. He was a highly respected deacon at the Baptist Church where I worked in the preschool and attended with my kids. He also owned a christian private school for troubled kids. Go figure, right? He was caught in the act of molesting his grandson, and shortly thereafter other stories came out. The entire congregation was in shock, I remember feeling very hurt, I even cried. But NOBODY defended him like this. Everybody just felt betrayed. He wasn’t what he had presented himself to be.
BTW, the pastor of that same church was having an affair with a topless dancer and left the church and his wife for her.
This was in Orlando, must be something in the water there, lol.

I would say that one default of being a pedophile is a big deal when he is supposed to be serving God. I work with the children of rape and torture brought on by the default of just these type of people. Yes, there are more than one so called great pastors that have done things to these type of children.
The act of rape on these young children bring on nightmares about what has been done to them, that is if they still are able to function with what damage has been done to the brains of these children. If they have brain function they then never forget for the rest of their lives what this pedophile has done to them. Yes, pedophiles are wired wrong, but that does not excused their behavior on young children.
