Archdale, NC - All the children of his mama’s daycare, it appears. Gerald Carter, 18, has been arrested on multiple felony charges, including first-degree rape of a child. Both victims were little girls – one is now five, the other is now three. And both children were in the care of Gerald’s mother at the time. Â
The mother of the one child victim called police after her daughter disclosed the abuse earlier this year. An investigation was launched into the allegations of molestation, but Gerald was not arrested until after the investigation yielded another victim and there was sufficient evidence for charges.
Gerald Carter’s Myspace is a little outdated – his last update on it was early in 2007. But it’s obvious that we have here an overweight, socially maladjusted young man. Bad enough to be a teenager named Gerald in 2008 – but to also be a big kid who spends much of his time in youth group and at home helping with mommy’s day care with no social life evident? Recipe for disaster. Gerald’s only pictures on that page are of himself and an infant niece, which is kind of unnerving in light of the charges against him.
Gerald Carter was arrested on Monday at his home. He is charged with child sexual abuse and first-degree child rape, among other charges which have not been released pending a court hearing. He is being held in the Randolph County Jail on $75,000 bond.

This is so disturbing. It seems more and more young men, hell, boys are being charged with such terrible crimes involving rape with a child. It is clear to me that a young child should never be presumed safe no matter whom he or she is with. Day cares, home with family or strangers…it is all the like, predators lurk
everywhere…
Per his myspace, ” I love God and my Family more than anything in the world…”, apparently this makes no difference.

And hey, he loves his sister (wonder what kind of “love”) and wants to meet God. I’m pretty sure he’ll be calling out God’s name a lot while Bubba’s paying a little visit to his back door.

ew. very disturbing that his mother didnt notice something was off. how could he disappear with a child and no one wonder what was going on. maybe mom knew and was trying to cover for her son. I hate hate hate when these fuckers claim to love God. yeah, God loves kiddie rapist, NOT!
I never leave my kids where younger or even older men are present, unless its daddy. I dont even feel comfortable leaving my kids at my moms with my nephews around (they are a little odd and my sister for whatever reason allows them to watch and play sexually inappropriate games and movies, she even gives the older one playboy!).
I let my mom know how I felt about them being around my younger daughters (the boys are 10, 12, and 14) she thought I was being silly and paranoid, but I would never forgive myself or them if something like this happened to my girls.

Augghhh. This is why I never could trust a home daycare even if the woman in charge had rave reviews. You never know who else is going to be at the house and you know nothing about them, even if they are going to be there during the day, etc. I feel terrible for those young girls that had to experience this. So sad and I agree the Mom knew nothing, really????….shouldn’t she of had an inkling when she didn’t see one of them for a little bit of time. I mean I would be concerned that they got outside and ran off or something, but that’s just me.

Tricia, I have three boys and I have always made sure that their daddy always went in with them in the bathroom…Now, my 20 yo is about 6′ tall, and if anyone wants to take him on, have at it!!…
But my two younger ones either have my husband or my older son going in with them, they still never go alone!! And they are 12 and 13…I told them that they either have to be 18 or 6′ tall to go in alone…There are too many creeps out there!!

I agree with that statement. God, are perverts are getting younger and younger these days.
Poor kids and their families. And yeah, where was his mother while this was going on? She’ supposed to be caring for these children. This is why none of my children were ever in day care…..
