Hunter Johnson: Drug-Selling Cheerleader

Raleigh, NC – Denizens, feeling the need for a break from the baby-beating, child-molesting, trailer-park trash we’ve been seeing so much of? How about a hot blue-eyed blond cheerleader from a Christian high school selling drugs out of her BMW?

Yep, Hunter Ashton Johnson, 16, is (or was) a cheerleader at Wake Christian Academy, where the parents of high school students cough up $5,600 tuition for the privilege of attendance. That might have many families cutting coupons and carefully scrutinizing the sale papers, but Johnson’s parents are probably doing okay, seeing how their daughter drives a BMW. And they must’ve done right by their daughter, because at the tender age of 16, she’s shown a bit of entrepreneurial spunk. With just a BMW and her wits, she assessed market needs and sought to provide desired goods. These include Xanax, hydrocodone, Oxycontin, Demerol, and Percocet.

Johnson’s business dealings came to light when a confidential informant approached police and reported witnessing the parking lot transactions, which apparently had been going on for over a month. The informant’s tip led to a warrant, a search of the BMW, and Johnson’s arrest on several drug-related charges yesterday. She was released after posting $10,000 bond.

When Johnson’s car was searched, authorities seized 34 pills, $139, and a can of Purple Suave hair spray.

Damn. They could’ve left her the hair spray.

God didnt make us perfect & last time i checked nobody is…ohh & have any of yall ever lied? cheated? stolen? ….okay well yes Hunter might of got involved with drugs..but a sin is a sin & they are all equal in Gods eyes. When Hunter was involved with the drugs..say someone else lied during that same time..God was just as much disappointed in Hunter with dealing with the drugs as he was with the liar. God knows we are going to mess up..but he still reaches out with loving arms & forgives. Hunter was a girl who was really looked up to. She was a Varsity Cheerleader, on homecoming court, Junior year dated a popular senior football player, & played soccer. She is one of the most funniest girls I know. She has such an amazing heart & really loves & cares for others. When you see her you never see her without a smile & she is always crazy & def knows how to make you laugh. I love Hunter & this one little mistake that she made doesnt change that. Everyone makes mistakes. So I would really appreciate it if everyone would stop bashing my friend because Number 1- I can guarantee you hardly any of yall know her …all your doing is just making assumptions & judging her based on what yall have heard & Number 2- None of yall know anything & any of the details for example the hairspray bottle…& everyones like ” Well for being rich she sure did buy a cheap brand of hairspray, & ohhh the police could of left her the hairspray bottle” blah blah blah …yeah none of yall know what in the heck yall talking about. & until yall can love like Jesus did & forgive & realize that no one is perfect & we are all going to fall short & make mistakes..I believe the best thing for everyone to do is shut up! Ohh & about the BMW..its like a 1991 model…Hunter has no more money than any other normal person. Her parents made sacrifices for her to go to Wake just like any other parents did.     I grew up in Raleigh, graduated from Broughton an embarrassingly large number of years ago.... even back THEN (almost 20 years now) we knew the kids to buy from went to RCC. Of course back then it was more pot and acid than anything, the occasional batch of shrooms... prescription pills weren't all that big unless it was speed/ADD meds.

    About a year ago in the Raleigh-Durham area a boy was killed. He was about 17 and they lured him into the woods saying that they had a good deal on presc. meds. for him. He followed them thinking this was where they were going to do the transaction and was murdered. At least in the Raleigh-Durham area it is rampant, but I have a feeling that it is all over the country as well.

    Exactly. There is absolutely ZERO reason for a teenager to be driving a freakin' BMW--I don't care if they did buy it used. Bring your kids up as spoiled brats, and they're going to think they're above the law, every damn time.

    Actually I've seen a lot of people come into the methadone clinic addicted to hydrocodone. In my opinion they should try to wean off the hydrocodone because methadone is the worst of drugs to try to kick.

    Has anyone seen the movie "Charlie Bartlett"? If not, you should. It's awesome. But also this story is just like the movie. Rich kids selling prescription drugs to classmates. Although in the movie, he does it to "help" the kids with problems he thinks they have like depression and anxiety.

    I doubt that was this chick's motivation.

    Actually i am on Methadone and I used it years ago for addiction purposes. I take it now for pain but I agree with you totally while I think Methadone is a huge help and have seen as well as experienced the benefits of it when taken properly and when you follow the program. I have also seen a huge amount of kids jumping on and off of it trying to find a high. If only they knew methadone does NOT get you high and will if taken and done wrong kill you. However it is Not that hard to get off it if done properly. I had a friend who was on it 15 years. He just got off and done it in 3 months a slow blind detox. Worked perfect he had some sleep issues for a week but is now just fine.
    Personally I think it is in the clinic in the success of detox. Many put you off before either you are ready or too quickly
    I do have to say again though I know Many addicts who have gotten on followed it and gotten off myself included.
    I was on Oxys (legally) and when the doc no longer accepted my insurance well long story shoirt I self medicated and ended up back on heroin.
    I decided that was not the path I wanted to stay on again and decided to try the methadone for the pain. Best choice I have ever made. i can function and not be all sleepy and not worry about getting tossed off due to insurance or any thing else.
    I do get what you mean though I think a rehab and other means should be tried before trying methadone because it is a longer term means for in my opinion a serious addict. i mean the first time I tried it many many years ago i had been doing heroin for 15 years straight. So in a case like that a 30 day rehab was well pretty useless.

    Oh and by the way No Methadone is not the WORSE. Heroin is the worse. Ever kicked a heroin habit with nothing. Not a day in the park take my word for it and I would rather do the Proper way on methadone than kick heroin anyday be it raw or scramble. done it too many times

    Does she really deserve more than a slap on the hand? She was involved in consentual business transactions. Yes, the products were illegal, but at the end of the day, she wasn't exactly ruining lives.

    And someone has a cheerleader hate complex. She's not ugly, she just got into some MAJOR trouble, I wouldn't be looking too good either, just sayin'.

    And furthermore, they should be following up how this girl got ahold of these drugs in the first place. She shouldn't be the ONLY one taking the blame here. Someone supplied her with drugs of that variety. Hell, it's hard to get ahold of a percocet or an oxycontin, and I've got a valid reason to have it!

    People who do this shit pisses me off, because it makes it harder for people like me, with real pain, real anxiety, to get the medications I need. :(

    No...The government makes it hard for you to get those things. These drugs should not be so strictly scheduled to begin with. The doctor's judgment should be the only factor in prescriptions, not a fear that he may be punished for overprescribing.

    I've been on strong pain meds for about 4 years now. (I have RSD and an implanted spinal cord stimulator). Last week when I went to the pain clinic they did a piss test. They said it was their new policy and it would be done at every visit. They want to make sure their patients are taking their meds and not selling them. I thought it was a great idea. Keeps them out of the wrong hands.

    I wouldnt personally know what its like to withdrawl from any drug, but I've seen many patients and it seems horrible. I've experimented with drugs but never got addicted. I actually used meth for about a year in high school. I never withdrew from it though, I just stopped using it.
    When I said that methadone is the hardest to kick, its what I have heard from the patients at the clinic. So many times I heard that meth and heroin were cake compared to methadone and thats why so many patients are on maintenance instead of just detoxing.
    I have gotten high off of vicodine. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled it hurt to eat so before dinner I'd pop two instead of one. It was a nice feeling, but not something I'd want all day everyday.

    Some parents punish misbehaving children by grounding them and removing key toys--do you know if Hunter's parents are going to take her BMW? Maybe require her to use public transportation?
