Huffin’ The Can Edition
Welcome to another Dreamin’ Demon Podcast. It is pretty unedited and is about Caylee, Caylee and more Caylee. Also hanging out with us, a special guest. Tonight, on a special edition of the Dreamin’ Demon podcast.
Summary:
Here we go again. Another unedited podcast featuring me, Imp and another gentlemen a lot of you are already familiar with. This is a Caylee Anthony-centric podcast, but not just with the case itself. So for those of you who are sick of the Anthony saga, give it a listen anyway. A lot of the discussion surrounds the media frenzy surrounding the case, including the people following it every day. We also talk about the site and the Caylee thread…and yes, I do go off on a couple of rants in the process. Lastly, we talk about true crime blogging in general. We had a blast, and thanks to everyone who participated. Sorry for the teeth sucking you will hear me doing, I am having some mouth surgery done tomorrow, but the pain was bothering me a bit tonight. We thrive on feedback, so let us know what you thought.

And here’s the link to Steve Huff’s newest blog, the True Crime Report. Go tell him “hey” for us!

Until then, simply download it via the link, or even easier, paste the link into your favorite MP3 playing program.

I am currently listening and enjoying the podcast.
As someone who joined the Caylee thread from the beginning, I have witnessed the evolution. I don’t post often anymore, however, I believe the draw is the amount of information, theories and action involved in the case.
Like minded people who surf and find the thread, find a place to talk to other like minded people about a case that offers a plathora of information and perspectives. Not to mention, people generally feel a part of something……larger than themselves and perhaps they can make a difference……
I seriously hope some stick around, and “throw stones” and discuss other cases. I loved moving to the forums, posting stories and responding to others questions…….however, eventually I got totally slammed there……simply debating with facts against set opinions……..arguing I can handle……flaming is expected sometimes when opposing opinions are heated, however, to go so far as negative (red) reputation points, by looking up other posts of mine, not pertaining to the debate at hand was beyond anything I expected…..when branching into the forums……and branching beyond the Caylee thread.
In order to keep everyone active and involved, being bullied in the forums, as a noob……respectfully speaking their mind (which correct me if I am wrong, is the premise of this sight), isn’t so welcoming, especially because….. they do it because they can……..
So yeah I have laid off the site for awhile……but I am still around, if…..maybe you could just say to those older members…….a little patience and a little guidence will go farther than bullying and insighting anger…..through attack…….and chasing out those……who are new or expressing themselves……….
Just my thoughts……..thanks for the podcast…..and your patience…….

Sep 15, 2008 at 12:22 pm -Wow, I just heard you say Imp that you think the reason the Padilla’s didn’t come on is because they figured out who we were??? I hadn’t heard that! What happened, how do you know? I thought they knew from before, when Peeper told them and they said “oh, the pizza people”

Sep 15, 2008 at 12:37 pm -Actually, I was called a “POMPOUS ASSHOLE DOUCHE BAG”. I take offense to that. I am NOT pompous.

Sep 15, 2008 at 12:47 pm -I think the pompous came from the fact that you are too good for regular creamer and insist on using the faggy kind.

Morbid
Sep 15, 2008 at 12:56 pm -I never thought of that. In hindsight, I can see how my love of the upper echelons of creamers…like Chocolate Almond Fudge for example, could be seen as pompous and not classy…a much better description overall.

Sep 15, 2008 at 1:28 pm -Great podcast. I prefer “print” most of the time but you guys kept me from being bored. Look forward to the next one that’s actually published.
I’ve gotten the same thing about families googling their own family members at my site and am starting to get used to being cursed and threatened with lawsuits. It was nice though that some of Erin Maxwell’s family has been in touch (mainly through email) and I have gotten some very nice responses. Almost makes it worth it being called a douchebag

One of my favorite things about this site is I can post what I want when I want and im not going to be filtered…
opinions are meant to be voiced accordingly not edited to the liking of the average person who cant get over the fact the word FUCK is on the internet.
Personaly im just waiting for casey Anthony to get busted.. then ill watch again..and comment again.. but for now..meh im more interested on what kind of other freeaks there are in our world today!

Sep 15, 2008 at 2:28 pm -I suspect that Leonard’s assistant knew who we were, but Leonard and Tony themselves did not. The reason I say that is because within five minutes of receiving their login information from Peeper, the Padillas went to voice mail and she could no longer get through even to their assistant. I made the logins and registered them myself, and Peeper provided that information to Leonard’s assistant.
Once that happened, they immediately became unavailable. You be the judge.

Sep 15, 2008 at 2:56 pm -I can picture DD going global and I can tell my granddaughter, “Yeah, I knew Morbid when he was just a regular douchebag” and had to rely on Imp for everything.” (That probably won’t change.)
Those were the days ….
Also like the new Random DD Videos. Nice extra touch.
And you guys were so cool and well-mannered, nobody overtalked anyone. The sucking sounded was a nice touch, but the music was better, IMO.

Sep 15, 2008 at 9:30 pm -We were doing them weekly, but the problem is that we spend a LOT of time on the site and the weekends is the only time we have to take a break.
While we have gotten the entire process down to a minimum, especially since I quit editing the things, it still takes a few hours from start to finish, to get the podcasts up on the site. Recording them is fun, all the other stuff afterward kinda sucks. We may go back to a bi-weekly schedule though. We’ll see.

Sep 15, 2008 at 10:43 pm -Very interesting. I love the behind-the-scenes perspective.
Yeah, I came here the first time because of the Anthony story, but stuck around because there’s so much more here. You just don’t get the same level of detail out of the AP articles. Too many times, I’ve been reading the mainstream news sites, saying to myself, “There’s got to be something missing in this article. This just doesn’t make sense.”
Hope the dental surgery went OK, Morbid.
