Kimberly King — Too Fat to Clean?
Fort Pierce, FL - Kimberly Y. King, 29, could’ve been one of those people who impresses others with her selflessness and willingness to help out a loved one. A couple of years ago, King packed up her four children so she could care for her 75-year-old grandmother in her grandma’s home. Turns out Grandma probably could’ve done better alone with no legs and advanced Alzheimer’s.Â
Now, as far as I know, Grandma has all her limbs and has no problems with her memory. But now that police and Department of Children and Families representatives have visited Grandma’s home, Kimberly King has some problems — she was arrested Thursday, faces felony child neglect and neglect of the elderly charges, and has had her children taken into DCF custody.
“What did Kim do?” you ask. It’s not what she did, folks. It’s what she didn’t do: housework. Let me explain.
According to King, her weight (350 pounds, give or take) prevents her from being able to clean. While her children, age 4 to 13, might have been able to help, King insisted that they would not listen to her and would not do any chores around the house.
Upon King’s arrest, the grandmother went to stay with another relative.

I’m going to take a leap here and assume the children were neither well-dressed nor particularly hygenic. I’ll take another leap and assume those of age went to school…. So, WTF?, nobody noticed anything might be wrong in the home before now?
I bet she was not fat enough not to open cook/eat or do other “food” things.
“My kids don’t listen to me.” That’s a lamer excuse than. “I had no idea what my kids were doing.”

Totally lame. While I and 3 of my sister are thin, I have one that was 450 pounds before she finally had gastric bypass. He house was so clean everyday that you could eat off the floor next to the toilet with no worries.
By the by, 3 years after the bypass, she now weighs 130 pounds
I am disabled with a back injury and manage to clean my darn house. Come on that excuse is full of shit.
Mind you my kids do help on Saturday Morning for the deep clean of the week but I keep it up during the week.
That is just Bull hocky as far as the kids had she raised them out the gate to help around the house with a sense of responsibility they would be helping.
I guess they figure hell her fat arse is not getting up doing crap why should they.
Poor babies I hope they get taken into a real home where they can find love and nurturing and no more maggots and filth. I also hope they get good counseling as they will likely need it especially the teen.

This is disgusting! Somehow she found the strength and energy to get herself to the kitchen and eat something. Maggots in the microwave? I am so glad I did not eat breakfast this morning, or I would have just got sick.
Horrid. And there’s no excusing or defending it. I will say that the neglect wasn’t necessarily malicious. In fact, it probably was not. If she was a single parent working full-time, she was almost certainly overwhelmed. 4 children from the ages of 4-13 are a lot of kids to raise by yourself. Where was their daddy, or, more likely, daddies? And note that if she’s 29, she likely got preggo at 15 and had that first kid by 16. Lovely. And caring for a person with Alzheimer’s? Is anyone EVER able to care for someone at home who has advacned Alzheimer’s, in between working at your shitty job? And then she says her fatness prevents her from cleaning? What a crock. I’m sure it would make cleaning harder, and I’m sure her children are totally misbehaved and unehlpful, but….All around, this case is just fucking depressing.
Have been fat (not that fat but still) and also have had back surgery . . . also cared for my infirm Mom in her later years while working f.t. & making a horrendous commute. That being said:
Wasn’t the greatest housekeeper in the world but remember how embarrassed and uncomfortable my Mom was even when there was just a little pee in her potty chair.:(
My kids & step-kids were generally wonderful as I recovered but DEFINITELY needed some direction from my Hub.
I’m sure it was the way they were raised & all - but the older children definitely need their asses kicked for the maggot kitchen. 13 yr old in particular.

:0* I think I threw up a little in my mouth…. Maggots, mouse poo…. I wouldn’t let a dog live like that. But then again, I am the mom that gets up on Sunday and cleans the entire house, including base boards, with bleach.
That’s awesome Peeper, she should definitely give herself a pat on the back. I’m sure it took her a lot of work, a gastric bypass isn’t exactly a one-way ticket to thinness if you don’t do it right. You must be very proud of her, that’s great!
As far this bitch here, you would think being that fat would prohibit her from eating too. It doesn’t appear to have affected that task.
This is horrible. How could you live like that, much less let your children and grandmother live that way to. Lazy isn’t a strong enough word.
Sorry, sugarglider, I guess I wasn’t perfectly clear–as far as I know, the grandmother doesn’t have Alzheimer’s. Actually, I haven’t seen anything that indicates what conditions or circumstances necessitated her needing someone else to help care for her.

FUCKING NASTY. How many stories like this do I hafta read?? WTF? Really WTF? I have lived in some ass crappy places before. Guess what, paint might have been peeling off the walls, and the floor may have been stained the fuck up BUT I promise the shit was CLEAN. Seems so many people don’t have an ounce of pride in anything. It might be my piece of shit, but it was a neat and clean piece of shit that I had pride in. Just because I kept it neat and clean, made it really not a piece of shit. You could tell a decent human occupied the dwelling….
She is UGLY but not TOO FAT to clean, look at her, I am sure she is eating just fine, and getting herown food… SHE IS JUST A PIG AND UNFORTUNATELY these children and her mom had to live with all these bugs and probably diseases too…. Maybe she came from filth and knows no better who knows. You don’t even have to be rich or skinny to be clean NO EXCUSES they must now burn the house down and maybe make into a parking lot

It wasn’t the maggots or the rotting food in the frig. Was she hauling her poor disabled ass out to McDonalds every day? She couldn’t get up to clean but she was managing to forage for food to contribute to her considerable ass. I bet her kids are pretty skinny - starving and waiting for mom to do her job and provide for her family. Bitch.
Oh bullshit! I weighed 326 lbs. 10 years ago before I had a gastric bypass (didn’t work as well for me as for peeper’s sis - I lost about 100), and I lived in a 3rd floor condo w/no elevator AND I cleaned my house.
I’ll bet this stupid cow only moved in with grandma to have free room & board including food!
I think it is far more likely that her reluctance to clean (read: laziness) contributed to her being overweight.

There’s that vicious cycle I saw on Maury last week: Monday: too fat to clean, sit on fat rump all day, house gets dirtier, rump gets fatter; Tuesday: too fat to clean, sit on fat rump all day, house gets dirtier, rump gets fatter. Wednesday: too fat to clean, sit on fat rump all day, house gets dirtier, rump gets fatter, and so on. Just get up cow, break the cycle!
