Naval Recruiter Douglas Nathaniel Bowie
LaMarque, TX - It seems that Douglas Nathaniel Bowie, 31, misunderstood his job description. You see, when he was told to recruit a few good men and women, he seemed to think it was for sex. And since he apparently prefers sex with women — or girls — that’s where he placed his recruiting efforts.
He’s been initially charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child, but more charges are likely, because Douglas had sex with two 12-year-old girls, and police are speaking to a 16-year-old about her relationship with Mr. Bowie, as well. Oh, and she has a kid. Oh, and the kid may very well be Douglas Nathaniel Bowie’s. Police have taken DNA samples, and are awaiting the paternity results.
Bowie was arrested after one of the 12-year-old girls wrote a letter detailing a history of sexual assaults by Bowie that began when she was 6 years old.
Not surprisingly, this is not the first time Mr. Bowie has been in this kind of trouble. As we know, pedophiles rarely do it “just once.” No, sir. Bowie was first investigated in 2005 when another girl told police that he had sexually abused her. That girl eventually recanted her story, and the case was dropped, but police say they will take another look at that case in light of the current charges.
Douglas Nathaniel Bowie was arrested in his Naval Recruiting Office at The Mall of the Mainland September 3rd, and is being held on $240K bond. His wife has had no comment.

Sep 8, 2008 at 8:13 pm -Well, the earliest he could’ve enlisted is 17. Recruiters are generally NCOs E5 or above, and I’m going to say it ordinarily takes at least 4yrs to make NCO. So at the very minimum he’d be 21, but considering there are also months involved in recruiter training, he was probably more than 17 when he enlisted and the bit where he’s been in trouble before likely slowed his promotions, I expect he’s a good bit past 21.

I’m not proud to admit that ‘I knew a child molester’, but ‘least now I know why he didn’t seem too interested in recruiting my husband. I seriously hope he rots for it, because he’s shaken the confidence parents could have in the Recruiters. He’s got a bunch of kids with his wife too, so they’re going to pay the biggest price for his sexual shenanigans in the end.
… Well, them and his asshole after spending some time in jail.
