murder victim Jessica Alejandro
PhiladelphiaPhiladelphia reviews
, PA – Joshua Garcia Maldonado came to Philadelphia from Puerto Rico six years ago with his longtime sweetheart Jessica Alejandro. Once in the U.S., they had 4 children together: JoshuaJoshua reviews
, Joshua, Joshua, and Jessica. (ages 6, 3, 2, 1)
Yep, you read that right! Joshua Maldonado and Jessica Alejandro named all of their sons Joshua and their daughter Jessica! Not quite 23 Daves, but they seemed to be working on it. Sadly, Joshua The Elder put the kybosh on any hopes of topping Mrs. McCave’s prodigious feat.
You see, Joshua liked to run around with lots of women while Jessica took care of all the little Joshes and Jess. Finally, Jessica, 24, had enough, and ended the relationship a few weeks ago. So what do you think Joshua did about it, Demonites? That’s right. On August 27th, Joshua went to the Philadelphia rowhouse where Jessica lived with their children, barricaded Jessica and himself in a bedroom, shot her in the head, and then turned the gun on himself.
Did I mention the kids were home? Oh, yes. The kids were home at the time, along with a 1-year-old nephew for whom Jessica was caring.
Tomas Lopez is Jessica’s cousin, and lived in the rowhouse, too. He came home shortly before 8 PM, to find the 6-year-old Joshua crying on the sidewalk outside the home, claiming “something happened to mommy and daddy.” He went inside, forced open the bedroom door, and found the grisly scene.
Jessica Alejandro liked to coordinate block parties, and recently hosted a worship service in front of her house for a fledgling church that didn’t yet have a building. She had plans to attend college to study Human Resources. But she also knew that Maldonado had recently purchased a gun, and she ignored the pleas of family and friends to seek a restraining order: she felt safe because of the children.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve heard that one too many times. Ladies, if everyone you know is telling you to get a restraining order, there’s a reason. Please do it. For your own safety and that of your children.
Joshua, Joshua, Joshua, and Jessica are now in the care of relatives because Joshua Garcia Maldonado is a violent scumbag of the highest order.

What a POS. I am glad he is no longer on this earth to torment those poor kids.
I hope those kids can stay together in loving environment and be the best little people they could possibly grow up to be- making their mama smile!!

What a terrible tragedy. Those poor children will forever live with the gruesome story of their family ending in violence…the older one will surely never forget.
I pray for you little ones. I hope you find some peace and love in your new home.

It’s super sad and you know, they don’t always give you an order of protection when you need one anyway.
And the babies won’t have anyone to bitch at for naming them all Joshua.

Wow…I hope they all have nicknames to distinguish themselves from another brother….but I think if he gets a gun….get a gun too….my aunt was married to a man on amw 20+ years ago and he threatened to kill her…so she got a gun and told him it was going to be her or him, but she figured it would be him to go…then she packed up and got the hell out of dodge.

Selfish prick- selfish for naming the boys all Joshua and selfish for killing all of the Josh’s mom. So sad.

Those poor kids.

This story almost made me cry. Those poor children.

They don’t always work anyway, trust me, I have very personal experience with that. But she still should have done it. And she shouldn’t have let him anywhere near her or the children.
Those poor little kids. I too hope they can stay together and grow up to be good productive people. I’ll pray for them…..

I agree completely! You’re right, she should have gotten those kids to safety.

Exactly what I was thinking. Fucking coward, couldn’t take just his own life, had to destory the life of the mother and the kids…..not to mention other family members.

What’s with naming all the boys Joshua? That’s freaky right there.
I suppose he thought, “If I can’t have any more Joshuas and Jessicas with her, no man will have any Joshuas or Jessicas with her!” Bang, bang.
I hope for the best for the little kids. I wonder if the Joshuas will eventually change their name(s).

So sad when people meet their untimely death due to a horrible relationship and not listening to their loved ones. I will echo what was said in the report, PLEASE if others are begging you to get away and to get a restraining order, there’s probably a reason, DO IT, better to be safe than sorry. I feel so bad for all those kids who have lost both their parents.

The family is asking you to donate any old clothing you can to the children left behind via the Laff House, a comedy club in Philly.
You can drop off donations at the Laff House located at 221 South Street, Philadelphia PA you can call (215) 440 – HAHA and ask for Kristina. Thank you for your help… monetary donations are also accepted.

Very sad this happened.
I really hope the kids stay together. It’s tragic to have one parent taken away from you let alone two. These kids will forever be traumatized with this. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and close friends. She sounds like she was a giving woman and helping others.
So sad…
Thank you Ruby for posting this…

I grew up in a house with an evil stepdad that pulled out guns and threaten my mother all the time. To this day I still wake up sweating and scared because i think i hear muffled screams. Ladies if your in a relationship with an abusive bastard your not the only ones hurt by him but your kids hurt seeing that. So the point of this is just saying that if you dont have kids and want to put up with abuse thats your call. But if you’re a mom its your responsibility to get help for those kids. Im sorry that these kids had to witness their father kill their mom and I hope one day they will heal from the wounds.

I was about to say they don’t always work.
Sorry to hear that you have personal experience of that, Peeper. I forget how many Denizens come her through some form of victimhood. They all seem so strong to me.

How come it is so easy for a no good POS to take the live a a decent young woman who was making a difference in the world?

…restraining orders don’t work. Call one of the women’s rescue shelters and set up a time when they (and the cops) can move you out, along with your stuff and your kids.
You get exactly one chance to get this right, don’t miss it by using half-measures. If he is NOT a problem and IS going to be part of your life, he will be whether or not you leave for a women’s shelter.
If he is NOT going to be part of your life, it is immeasurably better to physically separate yourself in one swoop by going to a (secret location) safe house run by a women’s shelter.
