Kimberly’s parents, Scott and Terri Sullivan

Tucson, AZ – Little Kimberly Sullivan was only six weeks old when she was pronounced dead at her Tucson home on SaturdaySaturday reviewsSaturday reviews.  Her tiny body was emaciated, starved to skin and bones.  Too bad the same can’t be said for her parents, Scott and Terri Sullivan.   They look healthy enough in those mugshots, don’t you think?

Tucson police were called to the family’s east side apartment at about 2:00 p.m. Saturday to do a “welfare check”.   Newsnewsnews reports say that Terri Sullivan called 911 to report that the couple had found their baby daughter unresponsive.

When police arrived, it was all too obvious that nothing could be done to save to save little Kimberly. She was gone, had been gone for awhile.  A medical examiner’s report is due within the next few days that should shed some light on Kimberly’s condition, but officers at the scene described the newborn as “starved” and “emaciated”.

Something here stinks, and it’s not the dead baby.  Well, not exactly, anyway.  Seriously, people, how do you just accidentally happen upon your treasured infant, only to find that she’s inexplicably become skin and bones and died?  Did they lose her behind the couch?  Did they entrust her to a toddler, or a flesh-sucking vampire?  I’m a little confused.  Because to me, there’s a very short list of Stuff To Do With A Newborn, and food tops that list.  FeedFeed reviewsFeed reviews her, change her, keep her clean and warm and dry, and rock her and sing to her.  That’s really about all that is required.  So to “find the baby unresponsive”, when “unresponsive” = “starved to death”, is just inexcusable.

Apparently Pima County thinks so, too.  Scott Sullivan, 27, was arrested along with his wife, Terri Sullivan, 26.  Both Sullivans were taken to Pima County Jail, where they are being held on bonds totaling 1.25 million.  They are being held on suspicion of child abuse, although authorities say more charges are likely once the medical examiner’s report is released.

  • you need to look in your own closet i bet if i looked in your back yard i would find stuff you would not want anyone to see unless you are god dont pass judgement on anyone. unless you know what happened i dont want to read your bullsh***
  • Southern Lady
Nothing in my closet except regret for times past. And I had the problem of overfeeding my children, although they're in perfect condition as young adults now.

So in my opinion, these two need to be buried in a hole with just enough oxygen to live long enough to starve to death.
  • dr.awkward
Well I'm fairly sure there's nothing too horrifying in my closet, but just to play along I'll go check.

Let's see here... that pair of shoes my cat puked on which I'm far too lazy to clean or throw out... some godawful never-worn apparel that proves even I cannot always resist the lure of CLEARANCE!!... Oh wait, here in the back are some bad decisions, maybe that's what she's talking about.
So what do we have? That time I smoked weed laced with godknowswhat and flashed a cop... all those "fibs" I told to get out of homework in high school (lol, I SO never had scoliosis)... a few lapses in judgment of the male variety...

Hmm, that's funny. I've got plenty of silly mistakes, some character flaws, and even a couple foibles, but NO STARVING BABIES.
I DO, however, have a well trained ass-raping elephant in my backyard. Don't ask why, it was my neighbor's. And until now, I had no idea WHAT I was gonna do with it...
  • Eracsurfer
So, basically you are trying to equate an unpaid parking ticket with the starvation of a child?

What is the term I am looking for? Oh yeah....FUCK YOU!

They MURDERED a six week old baby. Last time I checked my closet, I have never done anything as heinous as this. Shit, compared to these pieces of shit...I am a god! Unfortunately, I am not THE god, or else I'd smite these sacks of pus from the face of my world.

Did you miss where she ADMITTED to the starvation of her own flesh and blood?

As far as not wanted to read our posts...I don't recall dreamin' Demon being on any "required reading" list...although it should be!

So, I wrap up with a very polite FUCK OFF, and I hope you get ass-raped by an elephant.

    She takes a plea:
A Tucson mother of four admitted Wednesday that she starved her youngest child to death and agreed to serve a life term with parole possible.

"I did not do what I was supposed to do," Terri Sullivan, 27, told Judge Richard Fields of Pima County Superior Court.

Sullivan agreed that not only did she not feed Kimberlie after she came home from a hospital in July 2008, but she didn't obtain help when it became clear the baby was dying.
    [...]

Court documents said Kimberlie's face was sunken in. Her skin was loose. And she had an indentation in the skull above her forehead. She also had bones protruding through her skin.

When Kimberlie was born on July 14, 2008, she weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, but when she died she weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces, court documents say.
    [...]

"I don't think (Terri Sullivan) wanted the baby. She clearly never cared for the baby, and when it was apparent she was on the verge of death and looked like a Holocaust baby, she did nothing to help the baby," Deputy Pima County Attorney Susan Eazer said after the hearing.
    [...]

Scott Sullivan is set to go to trial on Feb. 23. On the murder charge, he could receive a sentence of life without parole or life with parole possible after 35 years.
Terri Sullivan faced the same fate, but as a result of her plea agreement she'll be sentenced to life in prison with parole possible after 25 years. Her formal sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 24.

Scott Sullivan's attorneys have indicated he didn't realize the baby was underweight.

When his wife expressed concern that Kimberlie wasn't putting on weight, he told police, he "brushed her off" because one of their older children was slow to put on weight but ended up fine.

According to court documents, Terri Sullivan initially told police she fed the baby 4 ounces of formula every four hours. Then she said she fed her three times during the day and maybe once at night. Still later, she admitted she sometimes forgot to feed the baby because of her other children, and she sometimes gave her diluted milk.

The prosecutors stated in court documents that medical experts think the baby was fed far less often than that.

Child Protective Services has custody of the Sullivans' three other children, who were 2, 4 and 6 when Kimberlie died.

“At birth on July 14, Kimberly weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces…When she died she weighed 5 pounds, 7 ounces…The Sullivans had two other children who have been taken into custody by Child Protective Services…”

Why would the state of AZ decide that this POS can raise a third child when she couldn’t properly care for her other two?!

    Word!

She told police she had been starving the baby since July! I wonder if she confessed in such detail to aid an insanity defence.
  • commongrackle
I've got a better idea...give me some heavy duty gloves and a hazmat suit and I'll shove my hand up her twat and rip out her ovaries, then tear out his testicles with a fork. What do you think?
  • Wonder
i know the feeling PeeperAnn congrats, my granddaughter will be 13 wks (3 months) she is adorable and honestly every 3 hours she gets a bottle - mom has the powder formular and she breastfeeds. When I have baby duty, you can't make a bottle fast enough when she is hungry she wauls. If she didn't have that 3 oz bottle seems like you would be misserable trying to live in the same residence.

I look forward to every minute I spend with her... for me its eeezy peezie - I find nothing hard about taking care of my baby right. waking in the middle of the night don't bother me. I spend time doing more then is needed... we are learning to read and sing and even trying out the baby sign language. I love CET and pbs tv :D they have a great website too.

We have WIC here - they give the formula to those that can't afford it Yes even if you have jobs dumbass's maybe you just need to show up for an appointment or submit paperwork on time... what the fuck is the problem with feeding your child you created ?

This pair looks like that OLD couple that kept their grandson in the 4 foot closet - don't ya think ... they must shop at same store too
  • nadine
These animals make me sick, here is a GREAT IDEA, which does not take a genious to figure out, How about locking them up, even together and starving the two of them, we can place bets on who dies first?????? THESE TWO disgust ME and Many OTHERS, GET RID OF THE WASTE, just like doing a clean up in neighborhoods, DISPOSE OF THESE PEOPLE once and for all
  • WryBread
These pictures with the sheets up around the perp's neck make them look as if they're in bed.
  • Wildheart
OMG, I just put my 4 day old granddaughter down for her nap, and now i’m picking her up and she’s sleeping on my chest.

BTW Peeperann, congrats on your beautiful new granddaughter! :)

This is why every state should have “Safe Haven” - although there are still morons who would so this for some unknown reason.

As far as I know, we do have a Safe Haven law in AZ. Which is why it astounds me every time something like this happens. You can literally walk into a hospital, fire station, etc., hand over your baby and walk out with no questions asked. Why on god's green earth would anyone choose to starve a newborn to death rather than doing that?? I just don't get it.
  • Nyght
Poor little bitty thing - how could this happen?!? What a horrible way for her to die.

The sickening irony is that our tax dollars are going to keep these asshats well fed for a long time. Life is so damn unfair.
  • Nanette
WTF.....they had TWO other children??? Wonder how old they were and if they were being fed or not. How can you NOT feed a newborn for FIVE weeks of her six weeks of life?

    Rest in peace little angel!
  • ScotchyScotch
    One other thing...

I suspect those pictures are ther mug shots? What are they each wearing -bedsheets or straight jackets???
  • mousygirl
jesus. these might be the scariest mug shots i've ever seen.
  • ScotchyScotch

Actually, losing her behind the couch is plausible but actually "inside" the couch is much more likely. Several times, I have lost my remote control in my couch -between the cushions- and I would imagine a little baby is not too much bigger than a tricked-out remote control. I have never actually stuck around the women I have know in my life, so I wouldn't really know how big babys are...

And the lord knows that I go apeshit when I lose that remote and several sporting events are on. I want to channel surf between the football games, and tennis, and so on - AND THE DAMN REMOTE IS GONE!!!

How horrible for these fine Arizonans to actually lose their child between the cushions for that long. I feel very, very sorry for them.

Why would the state of AZ decide that this POS can raise a third child when she couldn't properly care for her other two?! Fuck it, I'm going to med school just so I can learn how to forcibly sterilize fucktards like this!
The "Masked Sterilizer"...need cape and mask, will use butter knife for sterilizations...no need for pain killers!
  • captainhowdy
Horrifying. How could you do that to a baby? Babies are supposed to be pudgy and soft, not emaciated. How fucking terrible. These people are sheer scum. Also, they are seriously 27 and 26 years old???? I would have guess them to be WAY older. They have been doing some rough living, and something tells me that had a lot to do with what happened to their innocent baby.

On a brighter note, Congratulations on the new baby, Peeperann! :)

“Kimberly’s face was sunken in, her skin was loose and she had an indentation in the skull above her forehead…Bones were also protruding through her skin on her chest, thighs, arms, legs, feet, butt and back.”

This makes me want to vomit.

  • "Terri L. Sullivan, 26, also told police that the baby’s father was “concerned” for Kimberly Sullivan’s welfare and condition "

Well if that's concern, I'm afraid to think of how he is when he's apathetic.. frackin dirtbags.

I agree with Kathy's 'eye for an eye' punishment.

Asp - The "suspicion" charge is just something to allow authorities to pick up and detain these assholes immediately, instead of waiting until all the information comes to arrest them. These charges WILL be added to, once the ME's report is released. The ME's report will help them determine what, exactly, they should be charged with.

These two look the part. (AND well-fed!)

Letting a baby die like that is plain old malicious. I think that child murderers should be sentenced to die the same way their victims did. Except in the cases of newborns, they should experience everything as a new born does. Tie them down so they can not roll over or move, cut out their vocal cords so that they can not talk, and rip out all their teeth so they can not chew. Make them 100% dependent on their caregivers.

I totally agree with you. I *F* hate baby killers. In my book they are not human. Starving a baby is so incredibly evil. Please tell me how anyone could stand to watch a baby suffer.??? I hate you both, especially the "mother". Godforsaken souls just you wait your hell is just beginning!

    Rest in peace baby Kimberly.

Awe CONGRATS peeper! I know youre so proud! I miss my man being that small! He is 2!

I second the motion guys..............this poor baby girl! God rest her soul!

OMG, I just put my 4 day old granddaughter down for her nap, and now i'm picking her up and she's sleeping on my chest. This breaks my heart and my soul. Why, just fucking why???

This was intentional, no one starves an infant by accident!! I agree with Kathy, make them entirly dependent and then just laugh while they can't move or talk or eat or drink! Laugh while they die........

    God bless you baby girl....
  • MAjustaMom
And have the caregivers give them the same "care" they were (not) given. Let them starve to death and feel the pain.

This breakes my heart. Six weeks old, poor baby didn’t even have a chance. I just can not understand this. Why is it so hard for people to just do the right thing when it comes to their children. There is no excuse for this shit. If they didn’t want the duties of taking care of a baby, why not drop it off at a fire station, hospital or police station. I know in most places there is “No questions asked”. This is just sickening. I have a sister that tried for years before finally getting pregnant. There is so many people out there that would of loved to have had the chance to feed this precious life and rock her to sleep.

My husband and I tried for 5 years before I became pregnant with my twins (who will be 7 in December) and every day I thank God (and the many doctors!) for my beautiful boys. I would have taken an unwanted baby in a heartbeat. This is why every state should have "Safe Haven" - although there are still morons who would so this for some unknown reason.
Poor baby, rest in peace dear little Kimberly.
  • I think that child murderers should be sentenced to die the same way their victims did.

I could not agree more. And in the case of baby rapers - I feel that they should be violated in violent ways and then starved to death.
  • Kathy
SFeed her, change her, keep her clean and warm and dry, and rock her and sing to her. That’s really about all that is required.

You know, they didn't even have to rock her or sing to her, just provide for her basic needs and she still would have lived. They could have left this baby with a pack of wild dogs and they would have done better for the baby.

Then forget about them til you come to haul the bodies away.

Because to me, there’s a very short list of Stuff To Do With A Newborn, and food tops that list.  Feed her, change her, keep her clean and warm and dry, and rock her and sing to her.  That’s really about all that is required.

    No kidding.

Murder of an infant/child is horrible enough to try and wrap my mind around, but when you think of the slow and no doubt excruciatingly painful way of starving to death, how deliberate is that?

R.I.P Kimberly Sullivan... poor, sweet baby.
