But when the place I was employed at terminated a few people, I was called in more and more to work. I ended up working 7 days a week straight. My boyfriend and I split because I was working too much. This was just a few days before christmas. so I moved from the house we were buying and planning on building our life together in. Heidi and I had met through a friend of mine many months proir. She also babysat for said friend and her own sister as well. Yes, the agreement was that i would pay all of the bills, rent and buy food as long as she watched Andrew during work hours. The night that my son was beaten and murdered, I had come home from work planning on quitting the next day after being sexually harrassed by my boss. I told the owner I would meet him at work at 8 AM. A friend had offered to take me out for a game or two of pool to get my mind off of things. I was planning on calling my ex to sit for me, but since I paid him $60 for the last time he watched Andrew, Heidi told me not to worry about it, that she would love to watch him. I was to stay at my friend's for the evening, go to work, quit and start job hunting that monday. NEVER before has she been even slightly mean to any child I had ever seen her interact with. I agreed to the plea agreement with the district attorney so that she would have to admit that she meant to harm and murder my son. I did not want her to walk around able to say that she never meant for it to happen. Don't like my decision? Too bad, it was mine to make, not yours.
