MEMPHIS, TN - During an argument with is girlfriend, Jerrico Malone, 23, used a lamp to beat his girlfriend, 24, upside the head several times…all while she held a 3-month-old baby. Malone was arrested at the scene, after fighting with officers, and his girlfriend is in critical condition with massive trauma to the left side of her skull. A 7-year-old cousin witnessed the entire event.
There were other witnesses there as well, one being a woman who Malone threatened with the same lamp after beating his girlfriend. There was also a 5-year-old. Police have not released what relationship the couple had with the 3-month-old and the 5-year-old, but it is being reported that the children were taken by an adult they know.
The fight started after one of the children told the victim that Malone had been flirting with the woman who actually was there to witness the beating. Jerrico Malone has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and Resisting Arrest.

As far as the beater goes, this man clearly wasn’t worth fighting over. She should have let the woman flirting with him take him home and out of her house.

In my short thirty years on this earth I have never had the inclination to hit a woman. I have had the inclination to say really, really mean things (I told one x I was leaving her because she had kankles). Come to think of it, none of the guys I have considered friends have ever hit a girl either. I always thought you’d have to be a puss to hit a girl, even if she hits you, as did most of my co-horts. The news clip says the guy resisted arrest and was pepper sprayed,..hence the red eyes.
Just awful !!! I suspect the 3 mo old was unharmed … flirting with a woman then threatens her she is next - I agree no man is worth that… first signs of any type of abuse send them a packing and don’t take the assholes back.
