San Antonio, TX - Sean Michael Block and Jennifer Richards thought they had it all figured out.  They’d pimp out Jennifer’s five year old daughter  to an adult male.  In exchange, they’d get a used car, a furnished apartment for Jennifer and her kids, and free child care for Jennifer’s ten-month-old until that child was “old enough” to sell it for mama, too.   Well, the best laid plans of perverts and greedy whores oft go awry. 

Jennifer Richards, 24, moved from Phoenix, Arizona to San Antonio last year.  While working as a waitress at a San Antonio Cheesecake Factory, Jenn met Sean Michael Block.  Block, a bartender at the restaurant, is 40, married, and the father of a fourteen-month-old child himself.  Not that any of that stopped him from becoming sexually involved with Richards.

Richards and Block together decided that a fun thing to do would be to sell Richards’ little girl to an adult man for sex.  According to Block, Richards felt that sex with a grown man could be a “positive” experience for her little girl, and that Richards herself would enjoy sexual gratification from the encounters.  Oh, well.  Guess that makes it a win-win for everyone but Jenn’s little girl, huh?

Trouble was, the guy to whom Block pitched this idea didn’t want into the kid-raping business.  Instead, he went to the FBI and showed them his text message from Block: “Nice piece 5 yrs old belongs to my gf and she wants to sell it.”

That made the FBI sit up and take notice, as did the emails Block sent with links to Russian child pornography sites.

The FBI arranged for some surveillance and were able to obtain both taped conversations and computer data from the couple.  Not only were the twisted pair planning to blackmail the informant for more money,  Sean and Jennifer were also making plans to kidnap, rape and “carve up” a teenage runaway.

According to investigators, Sean Block first hit the kiddie porn radar back in 2004 and again in 2006.   But until now, there wasn’t enough evidence to go get him.  Agents say that luckily, neither of Jennifer Richards’ children were actually sold for sex. Authorities aren’t saying whether either little girl was sexually abused, but both children have been removed from Richards’ custody.

Sarah Block, Sean’s wife, filed for divorce on Friday and is seeking an order of protection for her own child. Good for her!

Jennifer Richards is charged with using interstate facilities to transmit information about a minor.  Sean Michael Block is charged with distributing child pornography, and more charges may be forthcoming.  Both perverts are being held in federal jail in San Antonio and appeared in federal court on Friday.  Block was ordered held without bond; Richards’ detention hearing was delayed and she is due in court tomorrow.
