Amy Wilkins Makes Nasty Choices

FORT WORTH — Last Thursday night, a police officer spotted Amy Joan Wilkins, 26, emerging from a Port-A-Potty in Lincoln Park. What caught his interest was that Wilkins was with a 56-year-old homeless man and they were sweaty with their clothes in need of adjustment.
The officer suspected they were bumping nasties in the portable biffy. Perhaps she thought her denial would pass the smell test and make it less nasty. Wilkins excused their actions and appearance by saying they were only smoking crack. The officer searched Wilkins and found a crack pipe with what looked like a small amount of cocaine residue inside. Â
Before heading off for her liaison in the outdoor john, Wilkins had left her two young children – a 2-year-old boy and a 6-month-old girl – in the care of a sitter. It was her choice of sitters that has added to her charges. It seems she chose the closest available warm body in her rush to the bathroom. A witness told officers that Wilkins had left two children in strollers with a homeless person at a nearby gravel parking lot .
Police found the children about five blocks away from the park in the care of a 17-year-old boy. He was was trying to feed the screaming and crying baby a bottle of formula. He said the children were not his and that their mother had gone around the corner with a man. After talking with him, officers suspected he was mentally challenged but definitely knew he was not capable of taking care of the children.
In addition to those two children, Wilkins also has a 3-year-old-son. Authorities aren’t saying where that child was stashed while mom was steaming up the inside of the temporary toilet. The two younger children were medically examined as a precaution and all three kids have been placed in foster care. She may have a fourth child, a 9-year-old boy, but CPS officials are mum on that and on if they have a previous history with Wilkins.
Amy Wilkins has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and 2 counts of abandoning and endangering a child. Donnie D. Wright was ticketed for violating the park’s curfew and released.

Hmmmmm… I think I remember her? Yes, it was her! We had a good time in a port-a-potty at Sea World in my home town of San Diego a couple years ago.

4 kids… and crack don’t mix. Wait, apparently she missed the “This is your brain on drugs” films. If she was going to do something like this then she shouldn’t have the kids. I guess you’ll fuck anything for some crack though, probably how they were all conceived.

Thank god the 17 year old was just mentally challenged, and not a pedophile. Considering how many horror stories I’ve read here about leaving your kids with teenage boys, these kids were damn lucky. At least they’re being taken away now, before mom has a chance to leave them someone truly deranged (I mean more deranged than her, of course).

Yeah, what is a ‘minor’ doing homeless, and mentally challanged one at that? He needs help, as he seemed like he was trying to help the children, whom I hope never see that POS again……

I agree is sad. Even tough he is mentally challenged he had the intuition of feeding the crying baby….. We have seen some dads that first beat then up and then asked themselves later “was he hungry?”.

In all likelihood, the 17 year old was probably a repeated runaway, not “challenged” enough to qualify to be a ward of the state or committed by folks. There’s really not a whole lot you can do for kids like that.
