Concord, NC – This week’s Weekly Wal-Mart Weirdo is an as-yet unidentified man in his 40s who sexually assaulted an 8-year-old boy at a North Carolina supercenter on Sunday evening. The boy was in a stall in the men’s restroom at the I-85 and Dale Earnhardt Boulevard Wal-Mart in Cabarrus County. The little boy went to the men’s room and into a stall, where he locked the door. That didn’t stop this pervert, who crawled under the divider wall to molest him. The suspect is described as 40 to 45 years old, between 5′10″ and 6 feet tall. He weighs about 230 pounds, and was wearing a black colored ball cap with a white colored Celtic cross emblem on the front. He was also wearing a burgundy or maroon polo shirt, black dress pants and tan colored shoes. SurveillanceSurveillance reviews
video and still shots were released today. The suspect was driving a purple Honda Odyssey van. I know, right? Surely someone can spot this guy with abysmal fashion sense and a purple mini-van riding dirty around Concord. Surveillance showed a man with the suspect, but the child says that man was not involved in the assault. It’s unclear whether the pedo’s buddy knew what was going on. Police are asking anyone who recognizes this perv to call Crime Stoppers at 704-93-CRIME or the Concord Police Department at

. Update: After releasing still of the videotape, police began to get leads. This lead to the arrest of 41-year-old Dennis Erik William Becker of Concord. He has an arrest record of drug possession, assault on an officer and traffic violations, but no crimes of a sexual nature.

WOW, unbelievable that a fat ass could have slipped under the door, well i am sorry for this poor poor child and for the mom, but when you have sick , dimented fuck faces out there patrolling for children, i read at any cost they will find ways to get to their victims, once again i feel sorry for this little guy and i hope they find this fat bastard and hang him or better yet find him, and put him into a room and let this childs mom or dad enter the room and then whatever happens happens

OMG. I used to live there. And I second Proud Mommy. Never, ever let your kids go into public restrooms ALONE. Period. And you know the minute you walk in the store, the first thing they say is they have to go to the bathroom. No, you don’t; don’t you want to look at the Legos? Of course they do.
I know I shouldn’t pick on Walmart, but Walmart stories much like this are almost weekly now. At least the store has upgraded their surveillance (also used to watch associates). I never go to Walmart alone. Never.

I’d be interested to see if they’ve actually done research to that end. I mean, clearly, one does not lead to the other. But I wonder which catagory (hetero or homo) exhibits a higher rate of pedophilia.

I’m not suggesting that homosexuality causes pedophilia. I’m just curious. We’re talking about two (in all likelihood) genetic dispositions that are similar in nature (generally) in that they are sexually deviant (”deviant” as in different from the norm, not as in “bad”). Does having one variation or another pose an increased risk of pedophilia? You know, like if sociopathy was tied to an increased incident of OCD, or something. It would require some pretty intense genetic analysis to find out, rather than relying on voluntary surveys and self-assessments.

And I have to agree with Athena that the fact that most pedophiles who molest boys describe themselves as straight only proves that that is how they describe themselves, it does not mean that they actually are heterosexual.
But I think it really doesn’t matter in that the horror is that adults use children for sex, not that they use “gender appropriate” children for their self-designated hetero or homo sexuality.

Oh, I don’t have any homophobia and I didn’t bring the subject into this thread, but I think if we are discussing pedophiles and their sexuality there is no harm in my questions.
Because the man molested a boy, it follows many people will call him homosexual. And just because he calls himself heterosexual it doesn’t follow that he is.
I am curious to know more about pedophiles and how they operate; this activity is a perversion — which I agree wholeheartedly with you that homosexuality and heterosexuality are NOT.

My son needed to use the bathroom when we were in Walmart once & I wouldn’t send him into the Men’s room alone. The entrance to the rest room didn’t have a door, just an opening with 2 walls (a little maze). So I sent him into the Women’s room and stood right outside, guarding the babies & the goods, calling to him every 15 seconds. Boy was he quick! He seemed ok with it – I hope he’s not psycologically scarred for life. The ladies coming out of the rest room knew why I sent him in there and no one seemed to have a problem with it (son was 5 or 6 years old).
What do you think, at what age is a little boy too old to go into the Ladies’ room?

OMALLEY-This is actually one of my big fears! My son is only 4 so he still uses the restroom with me when we are in public places. I fear the day when he is too big, yet not big enough to defend himself. It’s so sick that we have to be afraid to let our kids pee by themselves! I talked to my husband about this very subject tonight and asked him the exact same question. He said when Duncan is insistant on going by himself and then we’d teach him to scream bloody murder if someone came near him.
I swear, shit like this makes me not want to leave the house!

Yeah, I guess at some point the ladies wouldn’t like it – worrying about their own safety…
Isn’t it sad that the innocence of childhood has to be compromised by scaring a child with the awful truth that they could be molested. I’m so careful with what I say to my kids – I want them to be aware but not afraid of the world. I considered one of those “stranger danger” videos but decided that (statistically) there really is more danger from people they know.
As for the gay vs. pedophile portion of this thread (which I admit I only scanned), my opinion is that a sexual attraction to children is the pedophile’s “natural” inclination – only problem is, it’s not natural. Or legal. Or socially acceptable. Or fair to the little person who has no say.

I know the walmarts here have them they are located in the back where Lay-Away used to be. (Now called Site-2-Store) Just be sure to knock before entering I have had a customer or two complain about coital couples being in there with the door unlocked.

The world is going to hell in a hand basket, I went to a public bathroom in N.Y. at a park in the middle of the city. I can’t remember the name of the park but it is famous for it’s “Arch”. Well while in the bathroom a guy came up to the urinal next to me, I heard a funny squishy noise and looked over at him and he had a big smile on his face and was masturbating quite furiously. I am an adult mind you so I wasn’t really shocked because I knew from what I saw in the park itself that this was not entirely objectionable their. My point is that this behavior will never only get worse before it gets better.

I know this will sound crude, but there is just no other way to say it: Pedos like children simply because they want a smaller size (boy or girl makes no difference).
