Parkland, WA - Michael Warner wasn’t an old man at 55, but he was a very sick man, wheelchair bound in his final days with cancer, hoping to die at home with a little dignity. Frail, he scarcely weighed 100 pounds and was unable to care for himself in any fashion. Yvonne Bell lived with her father, along with her lover and his “unofficial†caregiver, Jennifer Markwith. They gave him little care and police suspect the couple were helping themselves to his pain meds.
Jennifer Markwith had dogs, lots and lots of dogs. So far the count is at twenty-seven, eighteen are puppies. A puppy mill perhaps? The puppies were kept inside the house. Some of the older dogs were allowed to run free, becoming the scourge of the neighborhood, attacking people and other pets. Calls were made to the sheriff’s office and Animal Control in the past. Nothing was done. I’m sure that Warner didn’t have much say in his life by this time, totally dependent on the whims of his non-caregivers. To call that pair caregivers would be a farce.
Giving little or no care, Bell and her girlfriend would just take off together when and where they pleased. It wasn’t even the first time they had left him alone unable to care for himself. Neighbors say that in the past, Warner had stumbled to into their yard before looking for help. This time it was different. Bell and Markwith left him home alone, trapped with over two dozen starving dogs. This time he couldn’t go to his neighbors for help.
Michael Warner was left alone for days in his feces covered house with eighteen puppies and several grown dogs. Surely Yvonne and Jennifer didn’t expect him to care for them. The dying man couldn’t even fend for himself. The animals hadn’t been fed for days and were starving. They had been abandoned along with Warner, trapped in a hell hole. Somehow Warner ended up on the floor, unable to defend himself or call for help as the puppies began to feed from his ravaged body.
When the selfish pair of non-caregivers finally got around to returning home, they found Warner bloodied, barely clinging to life. He is now in critical condition and being kept alive by machines. Bell and Markwith went back to the house to make a half-assed attempt to clean up before investigators arrived. Police state the inside of the house is “nasty” and “unfit for human habitationâ€, with dog feces everywhere. They both were arrested.
I can’t imagine how anyone would just go off and leave their animals to go hungry for days, much less be so selfish, cold and heartless to allow their dying father to become dog kibble. I think there will be a special place in Hell for Yvonne Bell and Jennifer Markwith.

back when i was a kid times were hard but by god our mother made sure we had a roof over our heads and food to eat.
she raised 11 of us had 12 but one passed away at 2 months.
she never beat us. or had cps take us away from her.
she was a decent person and i will not have you two slam her.
Our mom took care of us did’nt leave us to go party or any thing
she was well a mom the way a mom is suppose to be.
many a night she went to bed hungry as she made sure her kids bellys were full.

oh and michael had cancer in his spine he did not use a freaking walker and we are aware CANCER spreads but with proper treatment mike could of lived another 5 or so years.you two robbed michael of a very full life.
their mom is the reason why their like that. how many times did cps take those kids from her for the horrible living conidionts, to busy with the drugs and men to take care of her home life. i still dont know why mike stayed with her. that woman was the image of the devil. their mom o.ded on drugs and the kids killed their father. geez they say their the good ones here. you know what if we knew where we was at before and walked in their house and saw the living coniditon. they;d be jail still and just maybe mike would of been doing better we knows
i still say the state made it clear its okay to mistreat and abuse someone as long as theirs something wrong with them. washington needs to come up good laws rather than the stupid ones you always see

she saw he needed clothes so she went to walmart bought him clothes.

I can understand being nervous on TV. But even more than that, I can also understand smiling or laughing at inappropriate moments. It’s almost like an involuntary physical response to things we don’t even feel are funny in the least.
It’s clear who is to blame here. A reminder that people who run puppy mills are heartless shitheads who care nothing for other living beings–not the dogs whose bodies they’re ravaging with batch after batch of puppies, and in this case not even their own flesh and blood.

Toby, often when people are trying to talk about something that they find too horrific to process, they giggle. It should be possible to get an expert (a psychologist, perhaps) to testify to that effect. What a horrific thing it was that Yvonne and Jennifer did to Michael–I’m sorry.

yvonne as a daughter had all the freaking rights and when michelle tried to step in it was oh no not my daddy in a nursing home
well we know why now if michael had been put in a nursing home they would of lost his drugs and ss checks,
I was shocked to see michael so paper thin at 55 and they can say he refused food all they want but that would be another lie.

we have only lost one sister and she was 2 months old.
Shirley is the baby girl of the family, scott was the baby boy
he passed away 19 months ago at age 46 massive heart attack.
we all now wonder who will be next to join mom and dad and the boys in heaven.
Another thing not many people know is Michael was the great grandson ofa judge in mason co. jacob hauptly
Michael had alot to be proud of who he was for one.
he was a great guy who just happen to fall inlove with the wrong woman.
But we can’t pick who one will love and marry can we.
just Please everyone open your hearts to Shirley and understand her she has a heart of gold.

When we lived in shelton and my husband could no longer drive it was shirley and her husband who took us around where we needed to go.
if shirley goes to a yard sale she looks for everyone including my daughters 6 boys. she will open her home to anyone who needs a place to stay for awhile,

this is just disgusting, i do in-home care and the thought of this taking place makes me ill and i have seen some pretty bad cases.
why are they not in jail good question as far as we know they are still investgating it.

I TOO have seen some horrible cases af home care abuse
But in home care is hard work not everyone can do it.
I think Michael was ok with them as long as he could fend for himself. but when he needed more and more care they could’nt do it
but wanted his money and drugs so they kept him there to abuse and get their kicks out of seeing him cry and beg for food.
They were watching him slowly die without so much of a kind word or thought of him. not once did they call 911 and ask for help
no when asked about mike they said he was crazy. no he was not.
A nursing home was where he belonged to get the care he needed and his treatments then yes he could of lived with one of us.
if yvonne had gotten him on chemo he could of lived another 5 years or so. i would of opened my doors to him in a minute even though i’m out of state.
the System let him down bad. when the neighboor called 911 he told the peramedics he was alone they left him but they treated him at the secene and let him go back there. why did’nt they check his story out see his living conditions why did’nt animal controll respond to all the calls about the dogs?
no one seemed to care why because he was just a poor man who had no money no pot to piss in,
he was’nt some rich movie star theyhave on the media and by god someone is charged with their threatment.
the poor is forgotten but we take care of the rich and famous huh?
michael deserves to be remembered he was a kind decent man who never hurt anyone.he just happen to be born poor.and stayed poor
it still bugs me that those two pieces of shit got off the hook. so what the hell does it make it legal for this shit to happen or does washington have a crappy police force? i wish i knew that he was being mistreated before all this shit happened, we could of got him help and probably put the two lezbos behind bars.
