Scott Spitler Used The Wrong Head

Scott Spitler and Sarah Pender
ROCKVILLE, Ind. - In 2002, Sarah Pender was convicted of murder for her role in the 2000 shotgun deaths of her roommates, Andrew Cataldi and Tricia Nordman. She was serving a 110 year sentence at the Rockville Correctional Facility in Indiana. Working at this facility was Scott Spitler, a transportation officer. Spitler has now been charged with assisting Pender, now 29, with her recent escape.
He was arrested early Tuesday and charged with assisting a criminal, official misconduct, sexual misconduct and trafficking with an inmate. It is alleged that Spitler used a prison van to hide Pender in, and then drove her outside of the facility to the parking lot where she got into an awaiting vehicle and disappeared into the sunset…or something like that. Either way, she still has not been caught.
“She had manipulated him to the point where he had planned his day to get a vehicle inside the facility and then take her outside the facility,” said Indiana Department of Corrections Commissioner Edwin Buss.
Police are looking for Pender and she is described as white, 5′8 with brown hair and blue eyes. This looker also has a couple tattoos to look out for. A target tattoo on her upper right leg and a faded butterfly tattoo on her chest.
I am aware that this happened earlier, but I missed it during our server issues but figured if she still wasn’t caught by today, I’d get the story up. Besides, I thought the role-reversal was kind of amusing.
