Before issuing McDonald’s sentence, he(Judge Murphy) spoke his mind for the first time.

“Farmers treat their livestock better than you treated Cody,” he said. “You made that apartment… you turned it into McDonald’s house of horror for that toddler who just turned three.”

The Judge then read McDonald’s sentence — nearly the maximum sentence allowed: life in prison without parole. On top of that, McDonald got a combined 70 years in prison for the charges of child abuse, second degree murder, and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

He got beat up pretty bad but you could never break his heart; his heart is still pumping in another boy in Wisconsin, a two-year-old, so that’s the only positive thing I can say comes from this,” Hardy (Codys Grandfather)said.
Following Cody’s death, his heart was donated to help save the life of the Wisconsin boy.

I hope the sentence is death, that will be handed down next month….

if anyone else here has had any contact with kalkaska county’s cps please please go to my myspace page….You will never believe what they are doing to me..HOOBALY you are absolutely right about them!….the only thing i have gotten help with from them was being victimized over and over again…MY CHILDREN also….so please pass this on to everyone you know this system has got to be fixed and their littlest victims need justice!

Wow. That’s all I can say. Every morning I was at the Shell station and talked with Pam. I never could have imagined she would let such a thing happen. Terrible. It is weird now seeing her picture in major news sources for a murder, being that I knew this person for a short period. Evil. They are all evil. I know where CPS was. They were at my house. If they get a call from anyone about a child, they don’t research the validity of the information. They just show up, belittle you, insult you and then require you to go through all kinds of programs daily as if you don’t have a job. So rather then going after the people who deserve it, CPS are using all their resources for those calls that were made just to retaliate against someone. What about the 2 year old that drown in Kalkaska because her parents let her walk between houses alone. At two years old, you cant trust the kid to walk to another house by them self. I hate these people for killing that kid, and think that they system for protecting kids is broken.

jury just came in with the verdict….GUILTY FIRST DEGREE MURDER GUILTY FIRST DEGREE CHILD ABUSE GUILTY OF CONSPIRACY AND GUILTY OF SECOND DEGREE MURDER!!! He will make someone a nice bitch!….RIP CODY!

prosecution rested yesterday as well as defense….closing arguments are scheduled to begin on tuesday….I hope this bastard rots in hell!….and to the social workers who ignored any cry for help at all…..Shame on you!…as far as I am concerned they may not have given that final blow but ignoring it makes them just as guilty …..will kalkaska’s cps be held accountable for their lack of attention?….this same agency believes that I am responsible for my husband beating me?….when this trial is over the community needs to stand and fight that protocol is followed and not just a suggestion!….

Where the fuck was child protective services?…..oh yeah this is kalkaska we are talking about…That place is as fucking sideways as they get. I am looking forward to a verdict…CONVICTION!…and then I say someone needs to hold cps accountable for their lack of attention to such dire circumstances…I believe defense begins its case tomorrow and closing arguments should be by the end of the day…..RIP CODY!

sheldons trial is in day two and it has been made public the content of the letters mentioned in earlier posts. Sheldon was trying to convince pam to lie on the stand and say it was heather so he could go free and she agreed untill confronted with the letters. She even said that she intended to lie today!!! Good work to the prison guards who kept their eyes open.

please keep me updated on this case i am local to the area and have taken a personal interest in seeing this asshole get what he deserves... if you ask me mom and heather did not get enough time.... this is what i do not get in sentencing... will the child be back in five years to regain his freedom? then why should any of the ones who hurt him... life for all child abusers....
