Alicia Hartner Controls the Minds of Men

UPDATE 12/23/08 - FreePhil was RIGHT!    Yes, denizens, it’s true.  The family members of Phillip Morris, Mike Wellwood and Alicia Hartner have much to be happy about for Christmas.  The murder charges against Phil, Mike and Alicia (!) have been dropped.  It appears that I, your loyal ImpQueen, was WRONG.  W-R-O-N-G WRONG.   So what next?  Is Doyle Palmer to blame for the murders of Dennis Langley and Jack Mascow, or will their killers ever be found?  I don’t know.  All I know is that this is one story I’m happy to revise.  Happy Holidays, FreePhil! More details after the jump.

Mike WellwoodAlicia Hartner, Dreamin' DemonPhillip Morris

Mike Wellwood, Alicia Hartner, Phillip Morris

Riverview, MI, March 6, 2008 — Somebody tell me why a guy named Phillip Morris needs to jack cigarettes, ’cause I just don’t get that. Alicia Hartner, 18, is accused of being the ringleader of a bizarre little threesome consisting of herself, her live-in boyfriend Mike Wellwood, 19, and her sort of boyfriend Phillip Morris, 22. The trio is charged with the murders of Dennis Langley and Jack Mascow, both 62, last week.

Alicia Hartner and her men are high-school rejects working menial jobs. The victims, Langley and Mascow, owned a vending company that distributed cigarettes. Dennis Langley had been the only father figure Alicia Hartner ever knew, supporting Alicia and her mother financially for a number of years. Although Langley and Alicia’s mother never married, he continued to funnel cash their way even after the breakup. Langley was generous to fault and kept large amounts of cigarette stock and cash in the house, which he shared with his business partner Jack Mascow.

The robbery was supposed to go down as planned last Wednesday night: break in, kill Dennis Langley, steal his stuff and his cash, leave. Mascow was not expected to be there, but when he surprised the stoned trio they stabbed, beat and shot him. Then they went into garage, where they stabbed Langley in the skull and liver. After stealing about two grand in cash and a bunch of smokes, the young murderers torched the garage and left in Langley’s white work van, which they also set aflame a few blocks away. Because they’re smart criminals like that.

Firefighters found Mascow’s body upstairs while fighting house fire at about 11:30 p.m Wednesday. On Thursday, police officers went back to the house and found Langley in the garage. After getting over 100 telephone tips, Alicia Hartner was fingered as the bad girl and arrested on Friday. The bozo boys were arrested on Saturday. Even Hartner’s mother has been questioned in this case, although she has not been charged at this point.

Let’s just get these felons’ Myspaces out there, shall we? Alicia Hartner’s is here and is definitely the most entertaining of the bunch. She has pics of her pipe and her friends and her friend’s five year old son pretending to down multiple fifths of liquor. That’s hawt. Interestingly, although she lived with Mike Wellwood, his Myspace is much lower-key with few details and almost no friends. And here’s Phillip Morris, who is kind enough to have wonderful pics of high Alicia, high Mike, and high himself. In not a single picture is he sober. (and thanks Amber for Phil’s link!)

All three killers were in court on Tuesday for arraignment on two counts of felony murder, two counts of first-degree murder, one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of first-degree home invasion, one count of arson and one count of felony use of a firearm. All three pleaded not guilty, and Wellwood and Morris cried like tlittle bitches.   Hartner showed little emotion and told a judge she needed to get out because she “had a job interview.” Um, that murder thing might make it hard to get that Taco Bell gig, Alicia.

UPDATE 4/30/08 - Alicia Hartner, Mike Wellwood and Phillip “Free Phil” Morris were in court Tuesday for preliminary hearings. Testimony was contradictory on Alicia. Detective Scott Galeski said that “Ms. Hartner was more concerned about her well-being. Her reaction was blank.” But a prisoner in the cell next to Alicia’s refuted that, saying that Alicia cried and insisted she was innocent. Previous witness statements have indicated, though, that Alicia copped to the whole murder, so that remains up in the air.

Witness Joseph Vella, who was tesitfying to get out of drug charges, said that Hartner and Wellwood told him about their plan to rob Dennis Langley prior to the act. Then again, he said, they also told him they were gonna roll a homeless guy for pot to pay their rent, so he didn’t take them seriously.

Not a great deal was reportedly said about Phillip Morris. It’ll be very interesting to see what happens on Thursday afternoon, when Judge Randy Kalmbach is set to rule on whether the trio should be bound over for trial. Will Free Phil be freed? I don’t know, but I’m waiting to find out. Maybe some of his family can come let us know how things went.

UPDATE 5/01/08 - Judge Randy Kalmbach of the 27th District Court in Wyandotte ruled this afternoon that all three defendants will remain in jail and be bound over for trial in Wayne County.

In the meantime, check Alicia Hartner’s new Magic Jail Hair:

UPDATE 5/16/08 - Alicia Hartner, Mike Wellwood and Phillip “Free Phil” Morris were arraigned in Wayne County Court yesterday. According to family sources, Alicia will face a jury on her own, and Mike and Phil will share a jury and be tried together. There is a docket hearing scheduled for June 20, after which the trial is scheduled for sometime in September. All three suspects remain in custody.

UPDATE 08/06/08 - A fourth suspect in the murders of Dennis Langley and Jack Mascow has been arrested.  Doyle Palmer, 41 (Myspace) is being held without bail in the Wayne County Jail.  At this time, it is unclear what affect, if any, Palmer’s arrest will have on the trials of Alicia Hartner, Mike Wellwood, and Phillip Morris.

Palmer, a single father of two, was arrested primarily based on DNA evidence from a bloody tissue found in the Langley home.  At this time, it does appear that he may drive a silver car very similar to that of Philip Morris, who is believed to have provided a gun and a getaway car for the robbery-turned-murder; this evidence, according to Phil’s family, may exonerate him.   At this time, however, all four suspects are being held without bail pending a hearing on August 29.

Here’s Doyle Palmer with his son, taken this summer:

Does Palmer hold the key to the Langley/Mascow murders?  Or is he just an unlucky dude who got a nosebleed?  As always, we’ll update as information becomes available.

According to the statement released by prosecutor Kym Worthy, “We are dismissing the cases because during trial preparation it was discovered that two of our main witnesses on these three defendants — not on (Palmer’s) cases — were discovered to be untruthful in material ways and were inconsistent with the physical evidence. We simply will not proceed at this time.”

And yes, for the record, this is twice I’ve been wrong about someone’s guilt.  TWICE.  Not counting the one time I was wrong about someone’s innocence.  I think I hear Morbid laughing.

Time for another bourbon and a catfight.
    Meow!

I’ll warm up with my Cabernet… thank you.

This is the first (hopefully last) violent event that I have ever been close to and it has opened my eyes considerably that those stories you read about in the newspaper and see in the news involve PEOPLE… real people!

I’ll look at these things differently in the future.

Impqueen, you’re so nice. Maybe I need a bourbon, too. *snicker* Nah, that probably wouldn’t help me either. I try to save all my *nice* for my kids……But you are still my inspiration!

Impqueen I hear ya! I guess it just led us to the sight which is a good thing cause I love to bash on child abusers, stupid criminals ect. So *cheers*! And you will hear more snide remarks from me on these not so much bizarre stories but fucked up would be more of the word. Things aren’t that surprising to me anymore! LOL. Just interesting.

im just here to say a few things i guess. i’v been reading over everyone’s comments on this story the past few days. I was very close to phil growing up. in fact my mom and aunt have posted on here also.. im the one phil walked to school every morning. I haven’t been talking to phil in the past couple years too much, but I still know in my heart he is a good person. And he wouldn’t do something as hanus*i dont think i spelled that right* as this for some ciggs and 2000 bucks. I mean come on, he just got his own place(might i add its nice as hell), has all of his shit together, a good job. I agree alot with what someone said on here.. im not sure who, about there is ALOT more to this story then what we are being told. But as far as it goes I believe that Philip is innocent, and i support him all the way. I’ll definentely be at the court hearing. BUT I think its really fucked up that they are holding him in a prison cell, when they don’t even believe he was the one that killed him. And I hate the fact that michigan is the only state if you are with someone in a car that commited a crime, you are automatically an accessory. But now im just blabbing. But I appreciate all of you who stuck up for me and my family and friends, this is a very f*cked up situation.. god bless everyone and my remorse to the family and friends of the victims.

Welcome Freephil 3, you have made some excellent points, but like I had said before, I went through what your family is just because my husband was in the car and he had no idea what went down til he got arrested. Like I said visiting days were hard to go through.

  6. Angel says:

Thanks, FreePhil3, it’s nice to see someone from the family of the accused offer condolences to the families of the victims. What a breath of fresh air. Let us know as soon as you have any concrete information on Phil and his status in this crime. I, also, am hoping - for your and your family’s sakes- that he really is innocent. My prayers are with you, either way….

Phil’s sister and I have decided not to post on here anymore. The subject is much too sensitive and she is truly hurting right now. It was wrong of me to give the information I did, because the only thing his family has to go on is speculation, heresay and what Phil’s attorney has been able to tell them. I fell true sorrow for Mr. Langley, Mr. Mascow and all of their family and friends. And I would have expressed that in my inital post, if I had not been so riled up about the sarcastic evil remarks being made on this page. But my 18yr old daughter said it best to me when she made me remember that in this world, although the court states everyone is innocent until proven guilty, our society wants to believe the worst until the best is brought out. All of you enjoy your days on this earth. Mr. Langley and Mr. Mascow are true examples that you never know when it could all be taken away. Thank you to all of those that have expressed their prayers for Phillip and his family.
    BTW…just for my own vanity….i am a 36yr old woman…lol

Thanks Freephil3, please believe me when I say I hope Phil is innocent. Looking over his Myspace page, he seems like a such a caring guy, it’s hard to believe. When alot of us post on here, we are expressing our anger at what happened. We dont know all the facts, but in order to state our feelings, we have to kind of go with what we know, which is that he is in jail right now. It doesnt mean that we think for a fact that he is guilty, but please understand from our point of view, the majority of the time the people that end up on DD do end up being guilty. So please don’t think badly of us, if he is innocent, I promise you that justice will be served. And you are right, things arent always so clear cut as they seem. I too would hate for Phil to be found guilty of murder, if he was really driving the car but did not know that the two idiots were going to kill someone. I hope he can maybe plea down and testify against the other two. Good luck, and I admire all of you Freephil’s for having the courage to post on here!

  12. ITS_JUST_ME says:

I agree that if someone is innocent - then they should be set free -

BUT if they are guilty they should be punished.

If you drive someone to the scene of a crime - you are in some way - guilty of a crime… certainly not as guilty as the ones who killed… but guilty of something. Perhaps they’ll let Phil plea down to something simple with his testimony to convict the killers.

Okay - I’m getting ready to go the Denni’s & Jacks funeral… I can’t really feel sorry for the people in jail right now.

  13. thepooh5 says:

Freephil3 - thanks for posting. Again, I’m sorry for your loss as well.

Thank you for your concern for the victims. I think it was you who posed the question, if he has an alibi why is he being charged? It is my understanding, that once you have been charged, your alibis must be checked out and verified and most likely, it takes a judge to set you free. I’m guessing all of that. Perhaps, at his first appearance, if his alibis do check out, the judge will dismiss the state’s charge.

  14. thepooh5 says:

Thanks to you… for allowing this forum.

I knew Dennis. Over the years I’d hear of the Dennis and Michelle on again off again stuff. Everything Its_just_me has said is on target. Dennis adored Michelle even though he knew she was just using him.
About Phil. He could be innocent. I personally have a feeling that it was the Alicia and the boyfriend. I think they thought they were going to score big. Dennis probably would have given her $$ if she asked for it. BUT… I think she may have been after bigger fish. He was in the vending business and so it was known (or thought) that he had big $$$ in the home. In fact, several years ago the house was broken into and a small safe was stolen. From what I understand there was about 40K in that safe. Many think that Michelle was involved in that. I don’t think these kids were after 2k and some smokes. As for Phil…. Maybe they did borrow his car? I mean, if they had a get-a-way car of their own, why would they risk stealing Dennis’s van? Figure this… they probably did not even know that the smokes were in the van. That was just a bonus. However, if they borrowed Phil’s car, they would have needed their own wheels to “skip town”?? (or whatever) once they returned Phil’s car to him? I don’t know. It’s just a thought. … I don’t buy one word of the abuse nonsense either.

  25. freephil3 says:

so… i have a theory. I just cant seem to get this case out of my head. I thought about it all day at work and all the possibilities with the information that I know..
I think it was definentely alicia and her boyfriend did this. I believe her mother had something to do with it too. I heard from a few friends that watched the news that Alicia was the first to be arrested, and then phil and her b/f afterword. Soooo…. Maybe the boyfriend asked philip to take him to the bank, and thats when the banker discovered there was blood on the money, and called the cops(at least thats what i was told) and phil was just in the car.. and since he was with the other guy at that time, they expected that he was in on it also.. IDK… just a thought. But I think it makes pretty good sense, with all the information that has been provided. But again, my condolences to the friends and family of the victims, this is something no family should have to go threw. people in this world are sick. and may alicia or whatever the hell her name is, get what she deserves. greedy bitch. much love, peace… and all that.

She said ANY lingerie was OK in an earlier post….and I already threw her my DD boob sling :-) …….. my chest decorations are without the support they are used to, now…..what MORE do you want from me?! :-D And I thought the flowers would be a nice touch. She can put them on the table for everyone to enjoy tonight when the drinking begins….. LOL

  27. nalyd says:

    Michelle’s name is spelled LANGELY
Dennis’ name is spelled LANGLEY strange coincidence.
I don’t know that I agree he was crazy in love with her. I think he felt responsible for her and they had a bit of a codependant relationship.
Michelle has struggled with debilitating depression for most of her life. It was Dennis who first persueded her to get professional help for her bouts of depression. This isn’t I’m having a blue day depression. It is can’t get out of bed for days depression. Maybe she was bipolar, I am not certain. If memory serves me when Dennis met Michelle she was a dancer and was living in her car. I do not know who was caring for Alicia at that time. There was a former husband who may or may not have been Alicia’s biological father. Both he and his mother would often care for Alicia. This would happen if Michelle was not feeling well for a few days or if she and Dennis were going out. Dennis always worked 6-7 days a week and if Michelle wasn’t feeling well he could not care for Alicia. I believe the former husband of Michelle is remarried and has a couple more children. I do not know if his mother (the grandma) is still living but they were both stable figures in Alicia’s life. Michelle was never able to become financially stable and therefore Dennis continued to provide for her over the years. She moved in and out of the house many times. He always got her an apartment when she moved out. He always worried about her.
Friends and family would always try to tell him she was taking advantage of him. He would say he knew that she was using him. I think he felt that he couldn’t give up on her. He was one of the only people who really gave a damn about her.
I do not believe the molestation accusations. I do believe it may have been part of a well thought plan to get money if for some reason he decided he was done supporting her or them. I hate to say that but it is a possibilty

Ummm getting interesting in here, many theories. It does seem Alicia and Mike are the main villains here. What Phil’s involvement was seems unclear at this point. Unfortunately for his family and friends there is enough evidence/ suspicion for him to be arrested at this point. I hope they are right 2 degenerates murdering for cigarettes and 2000.00 is enough.

    Free Phil!

But… I do have to say… I was wondering the same thing about the sharpie eyebrows. And… she isn’t all that hot, I mean she isn’t ugly but to be all up on yourself like that thinking you are all that… well it just makes her look all that much more ugly!!!!
If Phil is innocent, I say Free Phil too…
but I feel no sorrow for Michelle, it seems to me, she dropped the ball along time ago with Alicia.
I feel Alicia was needing attention so bad… so she got it from boys, boys she specifically picked… ones who needed to feel they were bad ass’s because they also felt worthless inside. Her comments on her myspace about how ” i would like to meet someone who is a real ass person. not sum fake ass lil thig or lil bitch. someone genuwine, who aint fake and knows what they want out of life. all the ppl i run into nowadays r just lost ass motherfuckers. where are all the true friends in this world? where are all the good MEN in this world? Questions with no answers. Dont bother hittin me up if your a fake lil bitch or fake lil wanna-be thug. Dont waste your time, better yet, dont waste MY time. DONE GETTIN FUCKED OVER, SO ALL YALL WHO R FAKE N SHIT, TAKE UR ASS BACK TO WHERE THE HELL U CAME FROM N STAY THE HELL OUTTA MY SHIT. have a pleasant day nukka”
she was acting like she was just some real deal gangsta… and I think the boys she chose felt they had to play that part. It is all sad… because this is what it led to. No, she wasn’t that hott, that she could control men, she just knew how to pick em’. All mind games, just like her mama, sadly she learned it at a young age. I am also curious where this is going.

Do ya want the playboy bunny ones too? What about thongs? Should I send those as well? I don’t need ‘em anymore, anyway….. But I do need an address. Will Imp in DreaminDemonland suffice, or do I need a zip code as well? Y’all enjoy my panties, now, ya hear? ;-)

They were lifelong friends but Jack faced financial challenges in recent years and Dennis offered him a place to stay in return for help with computer inventory of the cd’s for vending/juke boxes and taking care of things around the Riverview home.

LMAO. I had to literally laugh at loud at that one. Oh yes Alicia, because you are a TRUE thug. Give me a break you little idiotic blond trailer trash hoe!

  37. nalyd says:

Of course is just my opinion. Noting the swift wrap up of the murder investigation by the fine men and women of the Riverview police department (along with other Downriver law enforcement agencies) and also noting the zero tolerence that we now have for child molesters and pedophiles I cannot believe that the accusations the mother (Michelle) made are true.
It is true that Alicia has been in and out of therapy, some may have been court ordered. I feel a complaint like that would have been investigated thoroughly. Michelle in a TV news interview states that the prosecuting attorney and the Riverview police did not find sufficient evidence to bring charges against Dennis Langley after she filed charges on behalf of her then (17 ?) year old daughter . She also says that the Alicia admitted the molestation to her therapist in January 2007. Michelle has been around Dennis (again on and off) for the past year. hmmm… Another blogger mentioned that Michelle had been seen riding around in Dennis’ car a week before the murder. I know someone who had dinner at the Riverview home in April 2007 and Michelle, Dennis and Jack were all living there. Jack was kind to Michelle but often found the daughter snooping around and swiping rolls of quarters among other things. If someone had molested your daughter, whether proven or not wouldn’t you never want to talk to them again. He was her meal ticket….This still could be a carefully though out means for extoring money and to ensure he would keep supporting her. Dennis would have wanted to avoid having Michelle and Alicia hurt his family. A few of his brothers and their wives were kind and then only tolerant of Michelle (and her daughter) They only put up with her out of love for Dennis.
Michelle had a very rough life. I think her mother died when Alicia was young and I don’t know if she had a father who was either alive or a part of her life. She may have a sister….maybe a brother, not sure…
    This is so sad.
I wonder if Michelle stood to inherit money from Dennis’ estate. Even so I don’t want to believe she was a part of this murder.

hmmm….very interesting. It seems there is more and more to this story as people join in. I agree wwith solange822001… I am grateful also that people are sharing this info with us, it really makes the “story” very real and brings new light when our minds are just wandering mad. thank you !!!
Initially… before I read any of the current case…
I am NOT saying that Dennis molested Alicia… but if he had and that is a big IF… I can still see Michelle hanging around him. I mean yes, most of us wouldn’t but that is us–people you have abrain.
Look at the way she was bringing up Alicia, I think Michelle did what she did to survive, if that meant abandoning Alicia with people while she had her depression fits… whatever… I don’t think she has ever put Alicia as a priority. Now… this is only coming from the information everybody knew her has shared with us. If this is true…why would she than make a decision on Alicia’s behalf to stay away from her only meal ticket (Dennis) because he was molesting her. I can see her ignoring that to take from the man. Again…I am not saying he did molest her, but if he had that doesn’t necessarily mean she would stay away from him.

I also beleive that if Dennis did in fact decide to cut the money off from Michelle–maybe that is when they decided to bring up fake charges of molestation (to sue him for money). I don’t know if a “murder” was planned at that time, but it could have been a way to extort money.

Thanks for all the info Nalyd–I hadn’t eventhought of the inheritance.

I spoke to a member of the family at the funeral home & he said the first TV interview with Michelle she was all sad & crying that Dennis was her rock… and the only stable pillar in her life… then when she “found out she wasn’t getting anything from the will…” she did the TV interview about the molestation… Soooo aparantly there was a will and Michelle wasn’t in it… I’m truly thankful for that!
And sorry - I’m not buying the “poor Michelle had a rough life…” crap. She plays a role… whatever role is necessary… she could always get work - but she always felt it was beneath her to do real work. She could have married men with money… but she wanted it ALL.
I’m still not convinced that she is completely innocent in all this…

I agree. I think Michelle taught her daughter to manipulate less strong men, and they were both out for cash. Even if she wasn’t in on it beforehand, I suspect she knows more than she’s said. The reason Mike and Phil are crying in court is because they just realized how badly they got played. I suspect that Alicia may not have done the actual killing here, but masterminded the plot and convinced the boys to do her dirty work. She doesn’t realize that Charles Manson did the same thing and he’s still in prison.

don’t mind me, i’m just playing with the edit function.

  42. psychmama says:

I just had to see what Michelle looked like ;) ok… at least I have it figured out…
that is, where Alicia learned her sharpie techniques.

she comes across to me as very VERY fake! …and I am not just talking about that white thing on her hair, btw… with all her money she has been taking from poor Dennis I am sure she could’ve bought one that matched a little closer to her hair!!!!!
Her acting skills are less to none.

  43. psychmama says:

LOL… I was playing with the edit too Imp :)

  44. WryBread says:

I was so surprised and thrilled to see the edit thing. I said aloud, “Oh my God, we can edit now!” It was as if Oprah had given me a new car!

Of course, the countdown aspect creates a lot of tension. “Do I want to edit? Leave it? Edit? Thirty five seconds? Uh, edit? Leave it? Edit?”

I was snooping around some myspace pages and I read some comments from Alicia’s “friends” stating that Alicia was asking people if she was in Dennis’ will the day after the murder. I also read in the myspace exchanges that Alicia stole from Dennis all the time and that she had gotten quite a bit of money doing that. The way her “friends” are talking is pretty scary. They are laughing about it and commenting on how she could have done it differently to not get caught. This is a scary world we are living in. We have these little Downriver kids thinking they are thugs and thinking murder is cool. Wtf has happened to the world? Parents need to step up and take control of their kids. This is what can happen. I have also read a lot of bad things about Alicia on her “friends” myspaces concerning her promiscuity. Seems little miss Alicia was known in the community and school as being a big slut. This involved 3somes and all. Great parenting job Michelle!

I have been looking a lot into this case and these people. Seems Michelle got pregnant with Alicia when she was very young (16). Michelle is also getting on my last nerve in television interviews. In the first one she gives, she is “crying” and saying how much she will miss Dennis. Actually, most of the interview is about how important Dennis was to her, not how crushing it must be that her daughter is accused of murder. Then, the next day, she starts giving interviews about a molestation. She seems very very angry in these interviews. She states that in Jan of 2007, Alicia confessed the molestation to a therapist. There was a complaint filed over the molestation with the Riverview police. This has been confirmed by Riverview police. They have said there was not enough proof to bring Langley up on charges. So, we do know that Michelle knew of this for at least a year now but it is known she has still been seen with Dennis since that time. This shows that Michelle knew it was a lie or she cares more about money than her own daughter. I’m sure Dennis knew they had filed a report against him. Why did he continue to deal with this trashy woman? If someone filed bogus charges on me, I am heading for the hills. Michelle taught her daughter how to find weak men and have them do her bidding. This started with the terrible parenting skills of Michelle Langley. I also caught on one of the past news reports that weeks before the murder Alica was trying to extort money from Dennis. Does anyone have insight into the relationship between Dennis and Alicia since she accused him of molesting her? Was he still doing things for her even after that? I am very confused as to why there was still a relationship between Dennis, Michelle, and Alicia after the molestion complaints were filed.

I knew Dennis and Jack for a long time. None of Dennis’ friends or family liked Michelle. They knew her for what she was and only tolerated her because they loved Dennis so much. She was nothing but white trash. Knowing Dennis, he probably did forgive her even after she FALSELY accused him of molestation. He was that nice of a man. It is a shame that he got mixed up with that gold-digging trailer trash whore. The mother is now whining that she is getting death threats since she went public about the molestation charges (which was after she appeared on TV saying that Dennis was “a rock in her life” and that he “was her friend too”). Instead of whoring around and trying to get money off of men, she should have spent more time trying to raise her daughter. Look at the daughter’s my space website, the girl is practically illiterate. I feel so bad for the victim’s family.

  48. ITS_JUST_ME says:

I never knew of the molestation charges in jan 07 - Dennis never said anything about it - he was probably just trying to protect Michelle & Alicia from embarrassment.

Gosh - Michelle is going to need a new sugar-daddy.

    Any takers?

  49. amber29 says:

My heart goes out to the victims and their family and friends. It is just terrible and so needless. It is very sad that we live in a world like this.

  50. nalyd says:

I agree so much with CC , amber29 and its_just_me. They all sound like they may have been as close at some point to the situation as I had once been. I remember Jack telling me that he had told Dennis that the little girl (as she was called ) might lie about something like this, might make a false accusation. In fact Jack refused to be alone in the house with the little girl. At some point she would stop by the house after school while Jack was living there. He had caught her taking things and was probably concerned she might say things like that about him. Though Jack had absolutely nothing material that would be of monetary gain for Michelle or her daughter. Jack never mentioned Michelle and Alicia prssing charges. I wonder if he didn’t know. He may not have been around when any type of investigation took place. He occasionally took out of town trips for a week or two at a time.
Dennis being as kind as he was may have partially blamed himself for Alicia’s problems. Maybe if he had somehow helped Michelle more Alicia would not have become such a troubled teen. Dennis was also a person who was so peace loving that he would do anything to avoid conflict. I have seen Michelle’s temper personally and she could really get angry. Dennis would usually just try to get out of the house and leave until she cooled down. I sort of think he felt the two of them were his cross to bear. At any given time you could ask him if he and Michelle were through. He would either say “yeah she ’s moved out”, or “no she’s been coming back around”, many times he would finish that statement saying “I know Im really stupid”. He would never go into detail and friends and family would not dig deeper for answers.
Either way it is such a tradgedy and neither one of them deserved to die so brutally.
