Orlando, FL (July 29, 2008) - Well, kids, we did it. With the first Caylee Anthony post here, we broke all previous Dreamin’ Demon records for page views and comments. And after over 2000 comments, it finally happened - we broke our server.  The nice people at We’ll Kick Your Bandwidth’s ASS, Bitch, Inc., said that we could fix the problem by opening a nice shiny new Caylee Anthony thread and closing the comments on the old one, so that’s what we’re doing.  All the new Caylee updates will be published here, and all comments on Caylee’s case should be posted here from now on. Cool? Cool. Now, on to the recap and the new news.Â
Caylee Marie Anthony, 2, has been missing from her Orlando home since, um… well, nobody seems sure when. June 9 was the first date given to investigators. Now it seems that June 15 was the last verifiable date Caylee was seen, and she may have been heard on the phone by her mother’s friend Jesse Grund on July 24. Caylee’s mother, Casey Marie Anthony, remains in jail on charges of child endangerment and lying to investigators after she was unable to give them information on Caylee’s whereabouts on July 16.
Caylee was missing for a month before her grandmother, Cindy Anthony, cornered Casey and called to report her car, which Casey had been driving, was stolen. At that time, Cindy told a 911 dispatcher that “it smells like there’s been a dead body in the damn car.” She also told deputies that she had not seen Caylee for a month. Casey’s story has been that Caylee was taken by a babysitter, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, on June 9. However, no sitter by that name has yet been found or verified even to exist. Casey Anthony could not give an address or phone number for the sitter, and has yet to explain any of this to investigators.
Cadaver dogs have hit on Casey’s car trunk and alerted to the presence of human decomposition. The dogs, taken at separate times by separate trainers, have also alerted to spots in the Anthony backyard. The back yard was probed, but no sign of Caylee was found, indicating that if Caylee is dead, her body was probably moved. As the case has grown ever larger and more complicated, no sign of Caylee has been found. All the details up to now can be found here.
Today, Judge Stan Strickland denied defense attorney Jose Baez’ request for a gag order in the case. Under Florida’s Sunshine Law, all communications from jail, with an exemption for confessions and other investigative discovery, is public record. As I write it is expected that jailhouse video of Casey’s recent visits and conversations will shortly be made available.

The Anthony family is acting like Casey is The Ghost Whisperer or something — that she simply CAN’T give straight-up answers, that she HAS to talk in riddles and codes. Do they think she’s pyschic or getting telepathy messages or something? WHY can’t the girl just flat-out give information? Why does it all have to be such DRAMA? Cindy Anthony acts like the media is twisting words that her daughter CLEARLY spoke on the telephone (”All they care about is finding Caylee!”) Maybe this whole family is aliens — they speak in puzzles and riddles instead of Plain English, like everyone else. I can’t for the LIFE of me figure out Cindy Anthony’s story. She blames the media, the public, for not looking for Caylee, but as far as I can see, the FAMILY hasn’t done a THING to actively LOOK for the child. They shower, freshen up their hair and stand in front of any TV camera that will point at them. I think Casey wants “immunity” to finally be frank because she’s HOPING to avoid a murder charge, and the only way she’ll tell what REALLY happened to Caylee is if she can’t be charged with killing her.

Is it possible that Casey is either A. a stripper prostitute (you know the ones that travel around, links to friends myspaces show signs of this) or B. Running drugs….If there is a ring, of local thugs or drug runners, who have on call- seemingly good girls to run drugs-or whatever, where ever, when ever (thinking airplane, or car, train, ect) then either A. or B. situations generally have a “ring babysitter”. This babysitter may well be mobile, protected and well perhaps (disclaimer….I am in NO WAY defending the bitch mother or her bitch mother), but hell, fake names, hidden connections.. hidden people…..just seems to make sense somehow. If Casey f’ed up a deal or did something stupid, well….hell I don’t know…anythoughts?

You would not generally see Morbid or Imp out here pounding the bricks for donations. They have quietly and respectfully let the regulars know that donations are welcome, but not necessary. But you see, this thread has exceeded all previous traffic records, and no one was prepared for it. Someone has to make this puppy fly, and that someone is Morbid.
Even with the increase in traffic, I don’t think Morbid would have come to the front page to solicit. Harley chose to do that as an appreciative, regular participant here. That’s cool. But the fact remains that while DD is up and running, it’s free to all comers. Donations are 100% optional.

I’ve never known Morbid to panhandle, but, given the number of cool features and the influx of new members, costs necessarily increase. Harley is half right, I will be honest and say that I was seeing some parallels of me to Casey - but I think bc we have similar families (sort of), when I was her age I used to screw up all the time and never wanted to go to work - but i’ve been working since I’m 15, so I get tired sometimes. (ha ha, that’s a joke.) And my parents always used tocome through for me, paying a bill I didn’t have the cash for and never asking anything of me financially to live with them - although anything other than food or shelter I did have to provide for myslef including a vehicle etc. Bottom line, I can imagine my mom wanting to convince herself that there is no way that I could have done something like this if I was in the same spot. I’m sure they used to bicker all the time, Cindy is the type that does a ton for the kid without being asked but then wants a parade and throws it in her face every chance she gets - it’s a power mechanism. But regardless of what they know about her, that she’s a liar and thief they will defend her to the death to outsiders. And Casey learned well, that’s the whole point of her clamming up, she’s playing them like fiddle, she knows if she gives up the info they won’t pay attention to her anymore.

And since I work on the 19th floor of a skyscraper near downtown LA, it really freaked me out!! If that’s “moderate”, I don’t want to know what a bigger one will feel like.
But if anything, it did take my mind off little Caylee for just a minute.
Someone probably said this, but I can’t believe the grandmother said it will be the media’s fault if Caylee isn’t found. As a former newspaper journalist, I know (for me at least), getting to the truth is the goal. Getting facts straight is the goal. I am sure any reporter on the Caylee beat wants nothing more than to help find this child, but they are only going on what’s been given! If anyone is to blame, it’s Caylee’s poor excuse for relatives.

I have been a member for a couple of months now and find this a great site. What you said was just plain rude and uncalled for. I thought Harley did something very thoughtful and kind. I had asked about life insurance, but have no real idea if a policy is in place. I’m sure the police have asked or investigated.
Honestly, I doubt Casey thinks that far ahead. She seems more the type to react to what is in front of her and make her lies up o the fly.
Insurance papers that far back would mean a year of planning and as transparent as this deal is, there is no way someone planned it for more than about 20 seconds.

Is the consensus that Cindy is lying when she says she has heard of Zanny? Last night in front of her house she mentioned she has heard of Zanny for the past 3-4 years, so does that mean that Casey made her up even before the kid was born in preparation for a story today. If Zanny doesn’t exist then Cindy is blatantly lying to cover up for Casey.

Hey Jeanne, Im not sure if you saw my post a while back, but I think i figured it out. Casey lied to mom about working, obviously mom would want to know who was watching Caylee. I think that is when she made up the babysitter. After she killed Caylee (yes, I said it, I will bet my fucking LIFE on it people, there is no doubt in my mind what that evil skank did), she of course blamed it on the fictional babysitter that she had already told her mom about. I honestly believe Cindy when she says that Casey has mentioned her before. Remember, in the 911 call, we heard Cindy in the background tell someone “she says Zanny took her!”. I could never figure out why Casey would make up the babysitter before she killed Caylee, but then I remembered that she had lied to her mom about working.

Why do you guys think the Anthonys REPORTED that the gas cans were stolen? If it was reported back before the whole, police calls/car towing crap, then what possessed them to call in the police if they knew Casey had stolen gas from them before? (duh…they had to know it was her)..and I know gas prices are high..but come on! They hadn’t reported her for stealing 45K from them, why call about a few bucks worth of gas? Something smells like a meat lovers pizza. Odd.

I have been working with psychic detectives Gayle St. John and Brian Ladd (web: Briansdreams.com) regarding the Caylee Anthony case. In review of information they have provided me and research I have done it is my theory that Casey took Caylee to a remote place in Winter Park, possibly in/around PALM CEMETERY and/or w/in NO MORE THAN 10 MILES from memorial park, making her route (easiest and quickest way as per Yahoo/Google maps) back to Orlando via Osceola SR-426 then 436 E on down to Goldenrod and the corner of Colonial Dr where she abandoned her car, finally making it full circle (by getting a ride) back to boyfriend’s house on Sutton. SHE PLOTS HER STORY AROUND INFINITESIMAL FACTS IE. NEW YORK, GEORGIA VIRGINIA STREET ETC. IN HER MIND AS STATES TO TELL POLICE TO LOOK, THUS WINDING HER STORY AROUND THESE INSIGNIFICANT FACTS SHE THEN CONVINCES HERSELF OF THE LIE/STORY AND THUS IS ABLE TO MAINTAIN AND ESSENTLY LIVE THE LIE. IT IS ALSO MY THEORY THAT SHE MAINTAINS THIS LIE NOT TO PROTECT HER FAMILY FROM THE PAINFUL TRUTH BUT INSTEAD HAS NO CONCERN FOR ANYONE BUT HERSELF. AS THE SAYING GOES, SHE WILL DENY TILL SHE DIES AND TAKE IT TO THE GRAVE WITH HER.
