UPDATE 7/31/08 – Dan LeBlanc, Cara’s husband and father of the victim in this case, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child by withholding medical treatment. He was arraigned yesterday on the misdemeanor charge. Cara LeBlanc was flown back to New Hampshire last night and was arraigned today on charges of first degree assault and criminal restraint. She did not request bond and will remain in jail for the time being, although her attorney says there may be a bail request at a later time.

Webster/Concord, NH – You’ve just had a hard day beating your eight-year-old stepdaughter nearly to death. Your arms are sore from pulling her up the stairs by her hair. Your legs are tired from kicking her back down the stairs again, time after time. Police are looking for Cara LeBlanc today after she beat her stepdaughter almost to death on July 10. Police say that LeBlanc pushed the eight-year-old down a flight of stairs at least seven times. To get the little girl back to the top of the stairs, LeBlanc would drag her by her hair and push or kick her back down again. She also force fed the girl cereal, tied her hands and feet to a door, and when none of that vented LeBlanc’s rage, she proceeded to beat the child over a period of nine hours – until the belt broke and the little girl was no longer responsive.
Two other children in the home – one of them LeBlanc’s biological son – were unhurt, but did witness the abuse.
Finally, on SaturdaySaturday reviews, the little girl was taken to Concord Hospital. Nursing staff there hotlined the family for the obvious abuse, and the child was transferred to a Boston hospital for more intensive care. The child’s liver and kidneys were so damaged that they were in organ failure, I’m told, on Saturday. As of Monday night, the victim was slowly improving but remained critical.
On Sunday, Cara LeBlanc was for some reason not in police custody. One source tells me she had been questioned but there wasn’t enough evidence to hold her at that time. So LeBlanc bought an airline ticket to OrlandoOrlando reviews
, Florida and hightailed it out of New Hampshire for a little vacation. So much for “don’t leave town”, huh?
The other two children in the home were taken into protective custody by the Division of Children, Youth and Families on Monday, and warrants had been issued for Cara LeBlanc’s arrest with country-wide extradition authorization. DCYF says they have investigated the family in the past, but found no evidence of abuse at that time. I guess they have more than enough evidence now.
Police in Florida and New Hampshire are now looking for 29-year-old Cara LeBlanc. She has outstanding warrants for first-degree assault and criminal restraint, and may be staying with a friend in the Orlando area. If you see Cara LeBlanc or know where she is, please call (603) 648-2200.
UPDATE 7/15/08 - Cara LeBlanc (spelled Kara in some news reports) was arrested today in Cape Coral, Florida. She will be extradited to New Hampshire to face charges there. Her stepdaughter remains in critical condition at Boston Children’s Hospital today.
UPDATE 7/16/08 – New details are emerging about the condition of the eight-year-old victim of Cara LeBlanc’s rage. The child was taken to the hospital two days after her abuse began by her father, Dan LeBlanc. What happened in those two days remains a mystery, but on arrival at the hospital, the little girl had kidney and liver damage, three broken ribs, three broken vertebrae in her neck, and was “covered in black and blue welts”. Said Webster Police Lt. Phil Mitchell, “I’ve never seen a child-abuse case this severe.”
I don’t know how that looks like “a few bruises from normal play”. I don’t know how anyone sees a restrained child, as was noted in our comments section, and does nothing other than untie the kid and leave her in the home to suffer longer without having to answer for that behavior. I want to know, Morbid wants to know, and we’re gonna find out.
UPDATE – New details have been released about Cara LeBlanc’s DCYF record. Two years ago, the Webster Police filed a DCYF report on LeBlanc about their suspicions of abuse of her stepchildren. DCYF determined the allegations were “unfounded”, despite their coming from the police department.
And just a few months ago, Cara LeBlanc’s ex-husband Bill, who has asked to have his last name withheld, filed a DCYF report on behalf of the eleven year old daughter he has with LeBlanc. That child lives with Bill, but had visits with her mother.  The girl went home from a visit this spring and told her father that LeBlanc was abusing the youngest child, a five year old girl. She said that LeBlanc made the child run up and down stairs for 20 minutes without stopping and locked the little girl in her room. That five year old child is the sister of the victim in this case.
DCYF found that allegation “unfounded”, too. It’s starting to look like DCYF bought whatever Cara LeBlanc was selling.
UPDATE 7/31/08 - Dan LeBlanc has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and was arraigned yesterday. Charging documents said that Mr. LeBlanc withheld necessary medical treatment for his eight year old daughter, C., for two days. His bail was set at $10,000, and he was ordered to have no contact with Cara LeBlanc.
Cara LeBlanc, for her part, was flown in to New Hampshire from Florida late last night. She was arraigned today in New Hampshire for the brutal abuse and nine-hour beating and restraint of her stepdaughter. Cara’s attorney did not ask for bail today, so Cara will remain in police custody pending trial. Her lawyer says that Cara may ask for bond at a later time.

Christ. I wonder how old the other kids in the home were. If I have kids, I’m going to specifically instruct them to call the cops on me, or daddy, or any other family member, if there’s abuse of any sort going on. Seems especially odd that they supposedly didn’t have enough evidence to detain her, initially, though.
I do hope this little girl gets through this okay and lands a family who will actually care for her. She deserves at LEAST that much. I would also put an electronic collar around step mom and give the little girl a remote button to push every time she was woken by a nightmare or was made fun of due to a scar or was made to feel uncomfortable by an adult.

LOL Mandella. I can’t speak from experience myself, thankfully. My standard “3 week torture” for abusers is not my own. I stole that from the movie Payback. I use that line because too many times the abusers get off with NOTHING and the child is left to suffer these demons the rest of their lives.
For abusers, I would make them suffer 3 weeks — ” I’ll make this last 3 weeks, I’ll give you a blood transfusion if I have to”. – from the movie.
I find this to be an appropriate stance when dealing with people that would harm children in such a way. If a child can endure 9 hours of that type of abuse, then the adult can endure 3 weeks – then and only then, we might call it even. They may then start their jail time, if they live.

I think the spelling of her name is still up in the air – she spells it Cara on her Myspace, as does her family. Two news affiliates have her listed as Kara, most of the others are still using the name that matches the Myspace pic. So for the time being I’m gonna leave it as is. If it does turn out that her legal name is Kara, I’ll change it.

Marine MP pressed his face against an expanded metal wall/fence and then reached down with his other hand and grabbed him by the bottom of his pants and pulled away from the fence. News reports state “Dad” and DCYF were in court today. Nothing that I came acrossed said if they were together or DCYF was there in make sure no children remained in the house. The reports concluded that more charges may be filed. Three years ago DCYF came out to the home but no charges were filed. Would love to see what was reported three year ago…Have a horrid feeling that the beatings for the little girl may have been going on for three years and the little girl’s father is so “P Whipped” he stood by and did nothing. I’d like to be wrong about the Dad but the delay in getting help for his kid screams otherwise.

No donut just because he did time in Iraq. A lot of folks have done that, and the vast majority of them don’t use it as an excuse for cowardice. Cara is a prescription drug-addled, psychotic hose-beast. Dan has been too spineless to remove himself and his children from her destructive influence for far too long.
He is damn near as culpable in this as she is. Hope he does some time in the pen, too – I’m sure he’ll get excellent treatment as a former corrections officer.
I hope DCYF finds some excellent people to treat those lovely, bright, energetic kids the way they deserve to be treated… where they no longer have to live in fear of their terrifyingly abusive psychotic mother, or fear of the lack of protection from their spineless, gutless, pussy-whipped coward of a father.

Every single month, I repeat, every single month something significant has happened that has been a negative occurance. From life threatening, to pregnancy, to house damaging (15,000$ worth), a mother on her death bed, attempted suicide by other child for no reason, a false suicide accusation on father who then spends the next three months trying to put life back together. SAINTANGER…..U F**KER….. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? Today’s society sucks, we try to keep the wife at home, make ends meet. The father goes to work spends all day at work. Goes to an appointment, arrives at home after all children are in bed. All three children were sick the week previously. When I found the oldest tied to herself I immediately severed the cord and did a full body check of the child. The child had minor bruising to her body, but other than that seemed only to be sluggish but healthy. Child did not say anything to anyone for two days about abuse. The child was immediately brought down to where the father was going to sleep and went to sleep. I went back up and confronted the mother, who said the bruising was caused by normal child play. You are with a woman for three years and you think you know them and are able to trust them. HAHAHA…what a joke! Try doing the right thing, see how far it gets you.

Everyone is so critical and they don’t know all of the details, it is truly sickening. They only know a portion of the story and they think that they know everything. Check your facts before you start to run fucking mouth. The mother WILL have her day. The wheels of justice move slowly. The only detail I need: a little girl is in the hospital thanks to Cara’s daylong beating. Cara ran, causing an east coast manhunt. Dan apparently did not get the child to the hospital in anything approaching a timely manner.
That pretty much says everything, really. All the excuses in the world don’t change the fact that a child was abused nearly to death in that home and neither of the adults stood up for her.

Three years ago was the same time a case was opened then closed regarding abuse in the household. A parent is to protect their child and three years ago there was a window of opportunity for you to “belly up to the bar” and do the right thing. You didn’t.

After reading all this crap, I want to know what Dan’s IQ is and was Cara a really big bitch in comparison to him.
Cause you know, if his IQ is something like 10 and he weighs 95 pounds compared to her 450, I might excuse him.
But unless the previous is true, those children need a new forever family. Someone who will actually CARE for her. I have never heard anything even remotely as ridiculous as someone seeing a child tied up and not doing anything about it.

but seriously I pray that the little girl gets better and I beleive that Cara(Kara) should have done to her what she did to the little girl… Everyday for the rest of her god forsaken life.
