He’s a pretty tough dude, but fuck yeah, that shit slowed his ass down. He was wrapped in gauze & looked half mummy………………….now, thinking about him & the pain he went through, I fucking cannot even imagine a child, having to endure this pain for 5 fucking days. I cannot believe the cruelty of that. Burn him & then make him suffer all fucking week. You bastards.

she didnt take him to the dr because he refused to take her as she does not have a car of her own
he did not tell her that any of the burns were from hot water until theyt went to the police dept
he was a security guard at downstream, a fairland reserve police officer, and a former ottawa county jailer
but as i said the mother was at work when all this happened
also, sources have told me that the child had been abused before and that it was thought that his biological father had done it as he had always said that daddy hit me..well there forawhile it is said that the child was calling john daddy
the mother was arrested for child neglect this morning and i believe is going to court monday but has a very good chance of getting out as she did not do nething, as it was all john

Are you telling me he doesn’t require skin grafts for third degree burns? Are you telling me that he did, in fact, get immediate medical attention? Yeah, I didn’t think so. What you are offering is excuses to try to clear the mother, not truth.

I’m not sure how commenting on a story that is already in the news is “contributing to ruining other people’s lives” as you stated. I think John ruined his own life when he decided to hurt that little boy, and Clarissa ruined her life by not getting help for her son until 5 days after he was injured.

The info you gave has only made it more confusing, as far as “facts” go. Can you clear up the holes? My questions would be: if she believed the child was previously abused by his natural father (rather than the baby-burner), what did she do in response? Did she report the natural father for abuse? Did she at least keep the child from seeing the natural father? If the father had visitation rights, did she make any effort to have them rescinded? If she did keep the child away from the natural father, did the abuse continue, and, if so, did it not occur to her that JOHN was the abuser?

Let me just say again: I do have sympathy for mothers in these situations (assuming they’re not theabusers, LOL), but this story seriously stinks for the fact she’s lying her ass off that 3rd-degree burns requiring grafts looked like a suntan. Ok, I don’t recall ever saying it Clarissa wasn’t in the wrong, yes she should have taken the baby to the Dr before 5 days went by, but as a matter of fact my husband is the one who took her and the baby to the Dr. And I am the one who made them go to the hospital a couple times before. Yes Clarissa was ongoing trying to get parental rights terminated from the biological father. You can check http://www.odcr.com and had stopped letting the baby go to his dads and the abuse continued, however there was always an excuse from John about where the bruising or injury came from. Including myself there are two other family members who advised Clarissa we thought something was going on wether she knew about it or not she needed to watch the baby like a hawk and if he was really just a clumsy kid to keep a better eye on him. Yes this had also been reported to DHS in the past, as a matter of fact I told the DHS worker I thought it was John who was the abuser, however DHS did nothing! And also, my husband and I are activly trying to get custody of the baby. You guys make it act like no one did anything but when law enforcement and DHS has been informed what else was a person supposed to do? The bilolgical fathers grandparents even took John and Clarissa to court for grandparents rights and got denied. The courts really don’t make it too easy to get a child removed from these circumstances. Honestly, the calls I made this AM were addressing this part directly. If the feelings expressed here are genuine then you will have no problem with the calls I made. I still don’t believe YOU are at all the person described above for a couple of reason. One, your first instinct was to defend Nicholas’ mother simply because she is your sister. If so I have every intention of calling them tomorrow morning and requesting an advocate. I just keep thinking if it ever came down to my baby or my husband I’d be telling him to hit the damn road and don’t come back, our baby isn’t even born yet and I can’t imagine someone hurting her or any other child for that matter. But like I said earlier, the mommy in me is kicking in and I’m trying to make this as good as it can possibly be for the best interest of Nick, he didn’t deserve this! However I am also the only one who even TRIED to call and check on him at the hospital when he had his skin graph, but the nurses wouldn’t release any information to me. She was arrested on Friday morning, I had taken her to the police department to get something from John and they arrested her on the spot.

I want to offer to you that this site and those who populate it are the best there are when it comes to supporting someone like you who is doing the right thing.

If you would keep your asses off here you may be able to properly take care of your own kids like you claim you do. Does anyone really know what they would do in a case like this? Ok, I don’t recall ever saying it Clarissa wasn’t in the wrong, yes she should have taken the baby to the Dr before 5 days went by, but as a matter of fact my husband is the one who took her and the baby to the Dr. And I am the one who made them go to the hospital a couple times before. Yes Clarissa was ongoing trying to get parental rights terminated from the biological father. You can check http://www.odcr.com and had stopped letting the baby go to his dads and the abuse continued, however there was always an excuse from John about where the bruising or injury came from. Including myself there are two other family members who advised Clarissa we thought something was going on wether she knew about it or not she needed to watch the baby like a hawk and if he was really just a clumsy kid to keep a better eye on him. Yes this had also been reported to DHS in the past, as a matter of fact I told the DHS worker I thought it was John who was the abuser, however DHS did nothing! And also, my husband and I are activly trying to get custody of the baby. You guys make it act like no one did anything but when law enforcement and DHS has been informed what else was a person supposed to do? The bilolgical fathers grandparents even took John and Clarissa to court for grandparents rights and got denied. The courts really don’t make it too easy to get a child removed from these circumstances. Because damnit I tried, sorry Erica, I’m really not concerned with if anyone in the family gets upset with me anymore, this is about Nick not anyone else. I love Clarissa to death but how can you be that blind? Really? It’s not possible! Clarissa got too wrapped up in getting Matt in troule that she completely overlooked any signs that it may be John despite me, mom and Sheila telling her that’s who we thought it was. Because I’ll be damned if my kid is going to have bruises all over her or even one bruise on her and I’m not going to ask where it came from or what happened. Matts( Nicks dad) parents live in Wyandotte and I’m not quite sure what they’re doing, I’ve been trying to contact them but have had no luch.

Clarissa (Mom) father passsed away about 4 years ago and her mother is in poor health.

well this is sheila nicky’s greataunt i normaly babysit him but i had to go out of town for three weeks because of work. i wish i had been home… maybe if i was at home my lil man would not have been hurt…its a good thing that the police got to john before i got home…i could have saved all the taxpayers alot of money but then again if i would have done what i wanted to do to him then i would not be here for my lil man when he needs me most…

Ok, went to court this morning for Johns bail reduction hearing…..it was yesterday……so I called his mom and asked her what was going on. She said the judge wouldn’t budge on his bail not even a cent! And she told me the judge told them that he better be glad he has a bail amount at all and itsn’t in there with no bond. Clarissa still doesn’t have a bail reduction date yet. Also I believe we are going to get to see Nick next week!!!! YAY!!!! I miss him sooooo much! Wish us luck!

That’s just the criminal side though, the Deprived Child case is on Tues I believe, but I don’t think we will be allowed to attend, however I’m going to try, all they can do is ask me to leave. It’s worth a try.

update Nick is with family YIPPEEEEEEEEEE he is with his grandpa and step grandma Head (JR and Mary-Ann)… I am so happy that he is with his family that loves and cares very much for him. We got a letter from Rissy yesterday and one today you can really tell the difference in the two letters she is so happy the they have Nick she knows they will give him the very best of care as in the past they were a great help to her. Maybe she will come to understand that the Heads only want the best for Nick and let the past stay in the past… and only concentrate on her future with Nick when and if she gets out of jail… I feel that she is also a victim in all this because from what i saw John was very controlling of her.

So Nick is with his father’s family? Sounds like the best thing for him right now. It seems some of Clarissa’s family still doesn’t
understand the seriousness of what she has done. It’s a shame. I hope his grandma and grandpa can obtain permanent custody of him so he can finally have a happy and loving home.

update Nick is with family YIPPEEEEEEEEEE he is with his grandpa and step grandma Head (JR and Mary-Ann)… I am so happy that he is with his family that loves and cares very much for him. We got a letter from Rissy yesterday and one today you can really tell the difference in the two letters she is so happy the they have Nick she knows they will give him the very best of care as in the past they were a great help to her. Maybe she will come to understand that the Heads only want the best for Nick and let the past stay in the past… and only concentrate on her future with Nick when and if she gets out of jail… I feel that she is also a victim in all this because from what i saw John was very controlling of her.

an update. Clarissa gets vistis with Nick and they are going great, she gets him on the weekends. Her charges were dropped.

It is very rare that LEOs make an arrest, then drop charges. You will understand that until the mother is cleared of charges we will continue to ridicule and shame her.

Well, as you can see from reading this thread, I was/am pretty vocal on this one.

I have an update that will surprise many as it did me.

First the great news. Nick is doing great living with his bio-daddy. His wounds are healing nicely and he seems to be adapting well to living with a loving, caring parent. Nick had a birthday back in August. I hope he had a very happy birthday and celebrated as every child should, smiling and happy.

I understand that all charges have been dropped against the mother Clarissa. I’m troubled by that, but I’ll put my faith in the LEOs that investigated and hope they found a valid reason for her not getting help for Nick when so desperately needed it. Clarissa does have visitation (supervised) with Nick. That tells me that the above may not be true and that at least someone feels she is not safe to be alone with her child.
