Addicts? What addict? I don’t see anything here about “she had delirium tremens and was seeing pink elephants and had to have a drink.” Many people go to bars after funerals–or have a drink back at the house within the context of a wake. Nothing uncommon about THAT part of the story.

I am surprised they didn’t excort her to the funeral home and straight back to pa. – I was unders the impression that the family pays a fee to have you escorted to intermediate family funeral such as a elderly parent.

I drink too, but I never get behind the wheel of a car. Not even after 1 beer. I know better. I don’t even go to bars. I drink at home alone. My mistake is emailing while intoxicated.

I’m in complete shock that they gave her a furlow to attend the funeral of her son….the son she killed by the stupid and irresponsible decision to drive drunk while he was in the car. Should have been her that was killed rather than a child.
