Jun 20, 2008 at 11:00 am -Doing a little digging about this New Black Panther Party, I see that the original Black Panthers — who haven’t been active since the 70s — completely disavow any connection. This group simply trade on the name. A statement from the Huey Newton Foundation (Mr. Newton founded the Black Panthers, along with Bobby Seale) states that the Black Panthers operated from a place of strength: love of black people, whereas they claim this group is operating based on hatred of whites.
I had respect for the original Panthers. Sometimes I didn’t like their methods, but I had respect for what they were trying to accomplish in this country. The stuff I just read online makes the New Black Panthers — and this guy in particular — sound like real shitheads.

Jun 20, 2008 at 11:22 am -You know what’s bugging me about this? The reports all say the dad’s been mostly uncooperative, and has said he doesn’t know anything about the kids or the missing luggage. Yet the reports also say he led the police to the park they’re currently searching.
How do these two statements co-exist?
Do you think he led them someplace where the kids AREN’T in order to prevent them from finding anything to charge him with?
Or do you think the media is just reporting bits and pieces from different time periods, and he’s actually now helping them?
104
Kathy
Jun 20, 2008 at 11:24 am -Ruby, he was being uncooperative yesterday. Today, with Quanell X, he is leading them to places.
So something has changed.

Jun 20, 2008 at 1:53 pm -Im wondering how no one can see the children disappear, but yet saw thier dad carrying a trunk and suitcase from his apartment. Now maybe my thinking is off, but those trunks are not that light especially if it contains a body the weight alone could make it extremelly heavy. So my only thought is that if enfact the kids are in a trunk or suitcase he may have been helped. Since he was seen carrying it versus pushing it.

Jun 20, 2008 at 2:23 pm -The seven year old only weighed 55 pounds. I carry boxes of paper that weigh more than that, not easy for me, but for a man, sure.
The little girl weighed less. Its not looking good for this dad at all.

Jun 20, 2008 at 2:33 pm -Why would you notice children doing what they normally do? For example, talking to their father, running up to their father to say “hey” or ask for something, going into their father’s apartment, etc. All they had to do was enter an apartment and not come back out to “disappear,” especially if it’s one the children are often seen entering. In comparison, lugging out a trunk and rolling out a suitcase could catch someone’s attention, in the vein of, “I wonder if he’s going somewhere.”

Jun 20, 2008 at 7:10 pm -Latest article says the father told them he dumped them, but wasn’t certain which pond it was, which is why they’re looking in more than one. They had him back out there again today, too.
Shitfire. I hate this fuckin’ fuck.

Jun 20, 2008 at 7:46 pm -Wow how fucked is this guy. Kills his kids on Father’s Day, loads them into a trunk and a suitcase, tosses them in the car and he’s off! If that’s not bad enough he cared so little he can’t fucking remember a few days later where he tossed them.
Once they find the kids they should just put a bullet in his gansta ass! He’s garbage and nothing more.

Jun 21, 2008 at 8:36 am -Article updated earlier this morning - Randy and Denim’s bodies have been found. Newer information indicates that the children may have been found in or near Berry Creek near the intersection of Galveston and Allendale Roads in Houston.
On the Google satellite, Burke/Crenshaw park is only about a mile or so from the apartment - the Berry Creek site where police are now gathered is about 6 to 7 miles away. If the source on the bodies’ location is correct, the children may never have actually been in the park, or were taken there but not dumped there. So Randy Senior remembered where he’d dumped his kids, all right - he just wasn’t telling.

Jun 21, 2008 at 9:47 am -http://www.khou.com is saying the “charred bodies” found….how sick it that? I hope they fry that piece of trash.
PASADENA, Texas — Pasadena police believe they have found the bodies of two children who have been missing since Sunday. The pair was found in a wooded area off Old Galveston Road near Allendale in southeast Houston just before midnight Friday.
A source close to the investigation told 11 News reporter Jeff McShan that the bodies of the two children had been burned. Randy Sylvester Jr., 7, and his 3-year-old sister Denim had been missing since Sunday.

Jun 21, 2008 at 9:52 am -Well, so much for being steadfast in our resolve and people secretely communicating with each other through news programs. So much for Grandmothers in other states and all the rest of the fantasies. It just turned out to be BabyDaddy. No wonder he wanted the reporters to tie their shoelaces and fight him — oh, I mean “strap it up.” It sounds so much more impressive. BabyDaddys says the reporters should be out looking for his kids — but really, he doesn’t want anyone looking for his kids — because he put their dead bodies in a pond!
Daddy decides to celebrate Daddy Day by getting himself free. “Time to move on.” Yeah, move on the electric chair, you asshole.

Jun 21, 2008 at 10:38 am -I’ve said before that mama’s timeline doesn’t work. That combined with her “tell” - that little downward left glance when she said she didn’t know what had happened to her kids - tells me that she did know. And i’m gonna tell you, if i thought my soon to be ex had done something to my kids, i’d have been screaming for someone, anyone, to check out his alibis and good. Instead, she chose to not call in police until it was dark, and probably to lie about the last time she saw her children.
I don’t think she ever saw them at 3:45. I think she last saw them much earlier in the day if she saw them that day at all.
Oh, and Happy Father’s Day, Randy Sylvester Senior, you piece of shit.

Fucking bastard probably thought it was some kind of game making all the diver’s scour those ponds, laughing at what it likely costs to drain the ponds and the time spent by the hundreds of people who were searching. Too much time and energy has been spent on this human garbage already, someone pour gas on him and light a match! I’ll bring the marshmallows.

Jun 21, 2008 at 12:33 pm -Jesus. It’s horrible enough that he killed his own children–did he have to desecrate their bodies, too? I just can’t fathom any of this.
Someone had to see him struggling with the suitcase and trunk. 55 lbs. is nothing to sneeze at. My husband is extremely fit (he’s an endurance athlete), and even he has to put a bit of effort into moving around 40 or 50 lb. bags of compost for me–you just don’t toss around that kind of dead weight (forgive me for the term) like it’s nothing.

This ending just makes me sick, I hope they find a way to make this fucker suffer before he dies, that would be the closest to justice there could be for this, no pain would ever be enough for this shitbag.

Jun 21, 2008 at 1:44 pm -straight from the horses mouth….this is bizzare
khou reports….
Quanell X called Sylvester “cold-blooded” and said that the two days he was with the suspect left him disturbed. The community activist, who has helped police communicate with suspects and sometimes drawn confessions in other missing person/murder cases, said despite pleas to Sylvester to tell police where the bodies where, the kids’ father insisted that Quanell X see the bodies.
Quanell X also described Sylvester’s Pasadena apartment, which is located in the same complex as where the kids lived, as a “doghouse” filled with porn and was filthy.

Jun 21, 2008 at 7:37 pm -This story makes me so sad. I thank God daily that I have absolutely no clue as to how people can murder their own children at all, but most especially in such heinous ways.
I tell ya, school got out two weeks ago and for a while there Beccaspawn #1 had to go to work with me. She’s 8 and I shit you not after two days I was begging my friends to blow my fucking brains out. I just couldn’t take anymore of the constant chatter, running up and down the halls of my office, bellowing to my co-workers, non-stop yada yada yada. Typically I can get away from parental duties while I am at work but not this time..she was with me 24/7. I tried giving her constant reminders this is my job..shut up and calm down and behave or we won’t be able to eat bcs they fired Mommy. To no avail. I admit I am not a “have your child in your face from the moment you awake to the moment you fall asleep” kind of Mom..but I would never hurt her. Come home and get shitfaced, maybe. Kill her, no.
Point of that story is…to me the biggest sign that I may be somewhat normal is yes, after two days I was insane and sprouted a shitload of new gray hairs, but I was ready to kill MYSELF, not her.
I cannot fathom the apathy and/or hatred needed to kill anyone, much less your own child who adores you no matter what.

Jun 21, 2008 at 8:56 pm -I am more in agreement with Imp on the mom. She knows more than she’s telling. Why? I just want to know why. This doesn’t seem like he just lost his temper and beat his kid to death. He killed both of them. What reason could you have for killing those precious angels? The part about his apartment with the filth and porn makes me want to throw up too. How does a human being become so degenerate and disgusting? Put him to sleep like a rabid dog, that is what he is. Actually, he’s worse

Newest update suggests to me that mama isn’t going to get off without some kind of charges. According to Quanell X, the father lived in the apartment with his wife and children — they were NOT seperated. The purpose of the second apartment unit within the complex was to give the scumbag a place to do his various drugs and leave his graphic pornography all over. The children were frequently in the “dog house” apartment so I’m sure there mother knew exactly what went on there. This pushes the neglect issue to a whole new level.

Jun 22, 2008 at 1:25 am -Lets first give thanks that little Randy Jr., and baby Denim are now safe in the arms of the Lord… I am really upset as to why in the first place would a 7yr old and a 3yr old be unattended from they last time u noticed them by the tennis court in an apartment complex at 345p until u realized they did not come home after 9pm, I would say that is a little late for a 3 yr old’s curfew….I dont know about her or her boyfriend aka known as the kids father but I can rest assure my son who just turned 7 on June 20th would even at his age be left outside my home in Sugar Land Texas by himself for a minute yet alone for hours did they not need lunch or dinner???? I am not one to point a finger at bad parenting but to say the least where were both of these so call mom or dad on fathers day???? I am angry that 2 precious babies had to suffer at the carelessness of both the parents if my childrens father was to commit such a hedious crime and i am innocent i would ask to be charged in this case for my neglect and indangerment of a child. Children of such young age we hear every day are being kidnapped RAPED KILLED without mercy why would u leave your child to the prey of horrible people that could have gotten to the kids before the i dont know what to call the scum bag of a father who got to them first this is insane - THE BIBLE DOES SAY….An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, may Denim and Randy Jr., Rest in Peace for ever and ever Amen while both the parents be punished Randy Sr. in the way of the hedious crime he committed against his own flesh and blood, and punishment for the mother for leaving her kids unattended for hours, even if i had given them to the father for the day and i looked out and saw they were alone i would have gone for my children and he would be looking for them wondering what the heck happened to them!

Jun 22, 2008 at 5:18 am -Whether you agree with all his politics or not, Quanel X sounds like the furthest thing from a “POS”
He was instrumental in realizing the seriousness of the case and getting the father to lead him to the correct location of the bodies
And the mom I feel for, she may or may not have realized the condition of the other apartment, she may have been lax in some of her parenting, may have assumed the kids were with the dad for too long without panicking, but it was Fathers Day, maybe she was just happy he seemed to be taking an interest in his kids…….Im sure she had no idea it would end up this way, if there had been prior reports of abuse I’m sure it would have surfaced by now. A lot of parents make mistakes that usually end in no harm coming to their child……….I doubt she ever imagined this happening in a million years, give her a little empathy

Jun 22, 2008 at 9:37 am -How did these refugees from “our girl Katrina” get TWO apartments in the complex? Daddy doesn’t seem to have been working and Momma made enough by herself to buy the kids those toys and pay two rents? I suppose it’s really none of my business, but my curiousity bell keeps ringing on this part.

Jun 22, 2008 at 9:57 am -Uh, I think the police were the first to realize the seriousness of the case.
Quantrill X came in rather late and while he was involved the police wasted their time draining 3 ponds before whatever magic you ascribe to QX’s presence went into effect and the father confessed.
Quantril XLAX is a wannabe news hound. He might as well call himself JesseAlJackSharpSonTon.
The mother. I think she was lazy about parenting and content to have a shithead in her life because he was a man. That is pretty damned common among women nowadays. It seems clear she lied about how much attention she paid to the kids’ whereabouts — why would she do this if she was serious about getting them back alive? If she suspected the father, why didn’t she tell the police this? Perhaps she did, we don’t know. I do feel some sympathy for her. I think she just let things drift along and never anticipated that such a horrible result was looming.

Jun 22, 2008 at 5:16 pm -“Police found the children’s remains after community activist Quanell X interceded with the father at the request of the children’s mother”
http://www.chron.com/disp/stor.....49987.html
Whether mom knew before, during, or after the fact, she didn’t know where the kids were. It sounds as if X wasn’t called in to get the community rallied, he was called in by the mom to talk to the dad.
X’s politics, attitude, or “news hound”-ness doesn’t seem to be a factor in this case any more than if they had called in the minister or local mayor. I’ve never heard of the man (but am well aware of who the Black Panthers are/were) but it does not sound to me as if this was anything more than what it is… one person assisting another in a horrid situation. I, for one, thank him.

Jun 22, 2008 at 8:31 pm -I think it is good that he helped out in this situation, personally I had never heard of the guy. but he does spout some pretty scary stuff:
“Quanell was forced out of the Nation of Islam for publicly inciting violence with his televised, and highly publicized, exhortation to Houston-area blacks:
“[i]f you feel that you just got to mug somebody because of your hurt and your pain, go to River Oaks and mug you some good white folks. If you’re angry that our brother is put to death, don’t burn down your own community, give these white folks hell from the womb to the tomb.”
from wikipedia

He has done some good in bringing other murders to justice but he does spout a lot of hatred as well.

Jun 23, 2008 at 2:08 am -Ok I was reading the recent reports where sylvester and quanell x states “”I didn’t do it,” Sylvester said from behind a Plexiglas window at the Harris County Jail on Sunday, a week after the children disappeared from their Pasadena apartment complex.
Sylvester said the slayings occurred because he owed people money.
“I told Quanell, I told the police, I told everybody that it was about the money,” he said in an interview with the Houston Chronicle. “They (alleged killers) used it to get to my kids.”
Sylvester said that the railroad trestle he led police to was one of many “meet-up spots” that were searched.
Quanell X, who worked with investigators to urge Sylvester to cooperate, would not say whether Sylvester told him or investigators that someone else committed the slayings. But Quanell X said he did remember Sylvester mentioning money.
“He was mumbling his words at that point,” Quanell X said. “Saying ‘$5,000, $5,000, I can’t believe this.’ ”
Earlier this week his mother and kids grandmother mentioned something about someone owning someone something. Which I said in post 64…both the grandma and mom know who did this and should all be punished. http://www.abc13.com

Jun 23, 2008 at 5:42 am -Shonnie, do you know these people? You seem to have almost a personal interest in seeing that the father is not the one that did it.
Quanell X himself said that he felt that the father wasn’t innocent after he saw his “doghouse” and spoke to him.
And how do you explain the fact that people saw HIM carrying the trunk and suitcase and the fact that he knew EXACTLY where the babies bodies were? And why the hell would he need a meet up spot when he already had a doghouse. He lived in Pasadena in an apartment complex. There are tons of people out there, why would he need to hide meeting up with people?
Sorry, the owing people money story is bullshit. Looks like he killed those babies on Father’s Day.
