Akron, OH - Virginia Johnson has been a bad, bad mother. Johnson, 38, was arrested on Thursday and charged with using her minor daughter in illegal sex acts and producing child pornography which was distributed over the Internet. The investigation began in April, but it took awhile for forensic computer analysts to get through the multiple computers, hard drives and cameras seized in the searches.
Summit County Sheriff’s detectives began investigating Johnson and her “longtime friend” Stephen Brothers back in April after detectives received a report alleging the sexual assault of Johnson’s minor daughter by the pair. Search warrants were executed at Brothers’ home and at Johnson’s home in a neighboring community on April 22.
In an unusual twist, Stephen Brothers was found dead in his garage of an apparent suicide on April 28. It appears that his body was found when officers returned to the home for another search, although details are a little unclear. One press report has Brother’s date of death as April 22 during the initial search. Either way, it sounds to me like mama’s boyfriend knew what police were going to find on all that equipment.
Police have not released the victim’s age or the gender or age of her sibling, but have said that Johnson is a mother of two. Way to set that excellent maternal example for the young ones, Virginia! Anyone care to guess about my personal ideas for sentencing in this case?
Johnson was arraigned in Barberton Municipal Court today on charges of rape, permitting child abuse, sexual battery, disseminating material involving a minor, and unlawful restraint. She is currently being held in the Summit County Jail on $100,000 bond.

It’s bad enough when others get a hold of a child and sexually assault them and pimp them out, but when the mother or father actively participates in such disgusting behavior, who can the child turn to?
Parents are supposed to protect their children from this kind of shit, not make them unwilling participants. Parents should be their shield, not the goddamn sword that cuts them.
And shit, if you want to make porn and broadcast it over the internet, do it with a consenting ADULT.

“Brown said the sexual crimes started in 2005 and occurred until this year at Brothers’ and Johnson’s homes. She gave deputies a USB thumb drive with images of her that showed her partially nude. ”
Was it her daughter or not? They aren’t making it sound like her daughter.

However, very often when a minor child may be identified as a victim of sexual assault, news outlets will change their wording in order to protect the victim, which is what appears to have happened here.
