Alisha Spencer Murdered; Precious Spencer Missing

UPDATE 5/29/08 -Tameisha Suarez, 33, was arrested today and charged with murder in the death of Alisha Spencer and the kidnapping of Alisha’s daughter Precious Diamond Spencer. Precious was found yesterday at Suarez’s home and is safe.
Atlanta, GA – Just a real quick one in regards to a missing child. Police say that Alisha Spencer, 24, and her 5-month-old daughter, Precious Diamond Spencer, were last seen May 24 at a home on Daisy Drive in Decatur. On May 26th, Alisha Spencer’s body was found in an abandoned building. She had been shot in the neck and back. Police had been looking for a 1990 silver or tan Honda Accord, but it has been located. There was no sign of the infant.
Police said the child is believed to be in extreme danger, but have not released who they think took the child. The child reportedly requires weekly medical treatment. Please contact the Atlanta Police Department at (404) 853-4235 if you have an information.
Update 5/28/08 – Precious Diamond Spencer has been found safe at the Daisy Drive home in Decatur.
Update 5/29/08 – Tameisha Suarez, 33, was arrested today and charged with murder in the death of Alisha Spencer and the kidnapping of Alisha’s infant daughter Precious. It appears the Suarez lives at the home where Precious Spencer was found. Police say that Alisha was likely murdered at the Daisy Drive home her body was dumped in the abandoned Sims St. home in Atlanta.

I don’t like cutsey names, but “Precious Diamond” really takes my fancy. Poor little motherless child. I wonder what happened in this situation. It sounds pretty ugly.

Cool that she’s been found. Keep us posted on what the hell happened. As far as cutesy names go, when my kid was in pre-school, there was a little girl there named Precision. Now who the fuck names their kid Precision??? My kid said she’s gonna name her kids Bob and Ann to keep it nice and simple.

BTW – I am not talking shit about baby names. I named my son Juston. I catch shit every day for spelling it the way I did. It seems that “Justin” is a more popular way to go. Meh! My husband’s name is Kelly. What did you expect??

Now as far as names go, I’m pretty sure I’m the only person in the US with my mine. I always wondered where it came from, and a few years ago my mom told me…it was a character in a book she was reading, and the the chick was a french prostitute! Yeah, I was named after a french whore, nice huh?!?

As long as he has a last name he does not have to spell every time he gives it you should be alright. I have to spell first, middle and last name and while I quite like being unique there are times when I wish my parents had been a bit less inventive……

Maybe a tatto in some place you could show easily, such as the length of one forearm, would simplify your life. I offer you my sympathy. I have to spell my last name every time and it gets real old. I can’t imagine having to tackle all three.

I know a little girl whose name is spelled one way and pronounced entirely differently. What were momma and daddy thinking? Why spell your kid’s name “Tagenet” (for example) and insist that it’s pronounced “Tiffany?”
Someday you be able to tell what generation a person is from because their name is spelled in a weird way, just as all the Bettys are now in their 70s.
