Greenville, PA - Ronny Machado and Krystle Weaver were waiting for Heather Turk to come home. Weaver, 20, had called Heather from the apartment the three had been sharing. Heather, her two small children, and her father Thomas Lorigan were out grocery shopping. While Machado and Weaver waited, they unscrewed light bulbs to darken the rooms. They got out their knives. And when Lorigan came in with his daughter and grandchildren, Machado and Weaver struck.
Heather Turk’s apartment was covered with blood last Tuesday morning when police arrived. Dispatchers had gotten a domestic disturbance call to the home at about 12:43 a.m. The 911 dispatcher lost the caller, but reported that he or she had heard a female voice and someone screaming.
At 12:46 a.m., police found Thomas Lorigan, 44, dead inside his daughter’s apartment. He had been repeatedly stabbed. Nearby, Heather Turk was lying bloody on the kitchen floor. She had been stabbed in the rear part of her skull, the knife wound deep into her brain. She was not responsive, but was alive - barely. Her one and two year old babies were in the home, alive and unharmed. A television was missing - as was Heather Turk’s purse, which had contained $440 and her children’s identification cards.
Investigators found out that Machado, 21, and Weaver, 20, had been staying at Heather Turk’s apartment. But oddly enough, neither Machado or Weaver was present when police arrived at almost one in the morning. More oddly still, the pair had been seen loading their stuff into Krystle Weaver’s Chevy Lumina just before midnight. Oh, and there was the female voice on the 911 call: “Heather, Heather, did you call the police?!” Then just the screams, as Heather was stabbed.
Police arrested the couple on Thursday in Trumbull County, Ohio. Krystle Weaver rolled on her man immediately, at first saying she was in the yard smoking and left when she heard screams. But then she admitted going inside - especially after all her clothes and shoes had blood on them. She admitted that it had been her voice on the 911 tape.
Machado, for his part, spilled. He told police that both he and Weaver had knives, that they had killed Lorigan together and tried to murder Heather Turk, and that Krystle Weaver herself had stabbed Heather in the back of the head. The motive is still under investigation. Theories have ranged from Heather kicking the pair out, to Machado and Weaver needing drug money, to a love triangle, to just plain evil.
We won’t know what Machado’s motive was. On Saturday night, Ronald Victor Machado saved the cost of a jury trial when he hung himself in the Trumbull County Jail. Machado was awaiting extradition to Mercer County, Pennsylvania to face multiple charges: one parole violation and multiple felonies in connection with the murder of Thomas Lorigan and the attempted murder of Heather Turk.
Heather Turk remains critical but stable. Her stab wound punctured her cerebellum, so she faces a long rehabilitation if she survives. Her children were placed in emergency temporary custody pending placement with relatives.
Krystle S. Weaver is charged with homicide, attempted homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide and burglary. She remains held without bail in the Trumbull County Jail, awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania. One wonders if she wouldn’t do better to imitate her boyfriend.

The other Heather on her friends list is a white supremist…check out all the swastikas and the “only if you’re white” crap in her “about me section.” Tricia381, thanks for posting and please keep us posted on Heather and the story as it unfolds. Seems like Kyrstle was wrapped way too tight around fuckhead’s penis. Her MySpace was so sickenly all about him. Bet she’d do ANYTHING he told her to…well, used to anyway.

It’s just really sad that those babies had to be there when their grandfather was murdered and their mother was stabbed in the head.
So, does it mean that the grandpa was killed first if Heather was able to phone the police? Has to be. I’m sure if she hadn’t called the cops, the douchebag duo would have stayed there and finished the job.
I guess your husband didn’t love you enough to stick around, Krystle, nor your mother enough to spell your name correctly.

That would make sense considering how fucking lovesick and crazy Krystle-meth was about her “man”? Does anyone think this might be the motive? Maybe they meant to get just her but the dad showed up too?

We had a similar situation here. A guy killed himself, and his family didn’t tell anyone, that he murdered his girlfriend, a few days before. My daughter told a woman, that just happened to be on her way to the funeral home. The woman was really pissed that this family would try to keep this a secret. She decided, there was no way she could go. I imagine thier friends felt somewhat betrayed, when they found out.
Krystle has quite the little attitude on her myspace. The love crap made me want to puke. Instead, I just left a comment.

May 27, 2008 at 1:26 pm -Everyone is pretty hush hush here as far as Heather’s condition and which hospital she is in. I have heard, however, that she is in a coma with severe brain injuries. Stable but critical. I just pray that it was dark enough that the babies wont have longterm memories of their Grandpa and mommy being bludgeoned. The screams will be haunting enough I’m sure.

Sep 23, 2008 at 10:34 pm -okay i knew both of these people. roanld who began HS at jamestown area hs, pa my senior year. i saw him standing outside and i thought he was like 30 years old. As for Krystle, her and I NEVER got along. She was a crazii bitch! trust me - I ALWAYS saw these two at the jamestown laundry mat with who i believe to be ronalds mother (frankenberry) ?? I saw them at wal*mart about a week before all of this happened, Krystle was buying hardye and her hair was ORANGE. They both had a blank, secret look to them. I do not really know how to describe it. But a mutual friend btwn Krystle and I had been at a party with the dead beats and he himself said they were very reserved and spaced out. Heather, and Tom were distant cousins, but none the same, family. And I pray to God that Krystle suffers 10 times more than what she is putting Heathers immediate family through.
