Kimberly Faith Reed Was Killed By Morons

William Reed on Dreamin' DemonKathryn Turner on Dreamin' Demon

William Reed and Kathryn Turner

Indianapolis, IN - March 19, 2008 was Kimberly Faith Reed’s last day. The seven-month-old baby girl, called “Faith” by her family, was put down for a nap and never woke up again. Two months later, her parents have been arrested in connection with baby Faith’s death. William Reed, 35, and Kathryn Turner, 32, are in jail today pending a court hearing tomorrow.

According to the probable cause affidavit, baby Faith was found dead on the afternoon of March 19 by her four-year-old sister. The little girl had gone to check on the baby, who had been placed on a bed to nap in Reed and Turner’s bedroom. The four-year-old found her baby sister on the floor, a black plastic trash bag over her nose and mouth.

Toxicology reports released last week show that baby Faith’s bottle had a good-sized shot of alcohol in it, and the baby was drunk when she died. Obviously a seven-month-old infant isn’t coordinated enough to unlock the liquor cabinet on her own, so parental involvement was immediately suspected. Especially since both parents have a history of drug and alcohol problems.

And get this - Kathryn Turner was investigated by the Department of Child Services in 2007 because Faith was born with marijuana and cocaine in her system. And in in April 2007, another report was opened on Kathryn Turner and William Reed because of the nasty living conditions in their home. Obviously it wasn’t cleaned up, since their baby was able to roll off a bed in a drunken stupor and end up with a black trash bag over her head.

If that’s even what happened. What are the odds that an infant, already drunk on her alcohol-laced bottle, would roll off the bed, not thump or make a noise to alert someone, and manage to suffocate herself on a trash bag? I’m having a hard time buying that one. After Kimberly Faith’s death, the other two children in the home were removed by DCS and remain in foster care or with family members.

William Reed and Kathryn Turner are in the Marion County Jail, each charged with felony child neglect. They are each being held on $100,000 bond.

I read that as “killed by Mormons” at first.

Stupid freakin drug addicted asshats!! They should get the death penalty by having a black plastic bag tied really tight around their necks. That poor poor baby. And those poor other children, maybe now they’ll at least have a chance in life…….

    Oh my…… I am speechless.

I can’t help but think of my incredible six-month-old granddaughter. She smiles, she laughs, she watches EVERYTHING with such intense interest. She makes the sweetest sounds. And she brings us so much joy.

And I can’t help but wonder how she was lucky enough to be born to a family who adores her … and why the just-as-incredible Baby Faith was born to those two miserable space-takers.

    I never will understand.

It is my fondest dream that one day, asshats all over the planet will realize that contraception is easier than murder.

I agree. Although, sterilization seems more appropriate. Dontcha think???

  7. blahblahblah says:

WOW. as if it isn’t horrible enough that they got their infant drunk and then KILLED her…but to then send their 4 year old child in to find her dead body? how fucking evil are these two pieces of trash!?

  8. ImmortalOne says:

The poor sister who found her… that little girl is going to have more major issues. I can’t imagine what she’s gone through in all this.

As far as the alcohol… just wow… a drunk baby, that was a drug addicted baby… and a random trash bag (riiiiight). Yeah babies play with anything, my 8 month old does if we’d let her, however I find it incrediably unlikely that was the case.

However even while we “co-sleep” she is -never- put to sleep in our bed on her own. Why? Well gee, because she crawls and rolls, and can fall off the bed. Duh!

Yeah sterilize these asshats too. I should open a clinic, and make it free to the government.

  9. Wonder says:

unbelievable 30 yr olds……….. Fucked up parents
….. way to go child services !

nice try and kudo’s to those that made the phone call(s) too bad they weren’t takin’ serious.

I will be happy to provide the rusty tools for your clinic.

I would prefer sterilization via a bullet to the brain pan for these two.

I got a very interesting email early this morning. I’ve agreed not to print the source’s name or other identifying information, so this is part of the email I received:

I knew something like this was going to happen!
CPS ignored the fact that the family took 18 bags of trash out of the house during the investigation of third degree burns on their one yr old daughter. Instead CPS gave them cash for electric bills, food, clothing and beds for the kids. Since the kids had NEVER had beds before then.

Kathryn also complained all the time about the baby being a crier and wanting attention. The other kids had learned to leave her alone.
I would love to talk to you more about this, but PLEASE DO NOT PRINT MY NAME. They have issued threats and acted upon several. I have a family of my own to protect, but I feel that people should know the truth that I believe that Kathryn killed that baby.

Interesting, huh? I thought it was very cool of this person to email and give us some information, especially considering his or her safety concerns.

  13. solange822001 says:

Yes, thanks to whomever sent this. I’m really not surprised to hear this, considering what happened to that baby.

  14. Not So Speechless says:

Why were they allowed to keep the kids?
I am pissed… Poor little baby. Don’t these people know how many people would love to have a little baby of their own?
I think there ought to be more PSAs regarding safe haven laws and I think they ought to raise the age to surrender a child.
Maybe to age 12 or something.

WTF??? Did these kids have relatives in the area?????? Didn’t anyone give a shit?

Prosecutors have filed neglect charges against the parents of an 8-month-old girl whom police say had alcohol in her system when she apparently suffocated on a bedroom floor.
