Suck My Cannoli Edition

Cannoli on dreamindemon.com

Well, here is our second podcast. It almost hits an hour, but we had a lot of stuff going on during the week with front page stuff as well as the forum upgrade. Once again, excuse the audio, but we are getting closer and closer to figuring all of this shit out. Besides, I was on the verge of puking my guts out after a theater trip when I first started editing it, and I was still fishing out popcorn kernels out of my sinuses when I finished. Bite me.

Summary:

First two segments deal with front page stories. Bubba, Brent Stephens, Timothy Schlafer, Edward Covington, why I hate what is happening with Lori Drew in the Megan Meyers case and more. The third segment is on the forum upgrade and talks about some of the upgrades. Some of that discussion was done before we even knew what all of the upgrades did, so if you find nothing informative with it, that’s why. The last is something really stupid I did in response to a retarded email we got from the same person who sent the last one we read on the first podcast. Have fun with it.

  • solange822001
Hey, I just tried it now and it worked! Yay! I cant wait to hear it, especially Imp's infamouse hatemail responses :)
  • Solange, what error are you getting? It is just an MP3 so any media player should play it.
  • solange822001

Solange: Download to Windows Media Player or whatever music/video player you use. They you can either transfer to an mp3 player or listen on your 'puter. I listened to the last podcast while reading and blogging. Very cool guys...can't wait to download this one when I get home tonight!
  • solange822001
I'm still not able to access the podcast, is anyone else having the same problem? I click on the link and it won't connect.

It’s also nature’s way for some mother animals to eat their young if they feel endangered. I don’t credit nature with much — I’d rather give full credit to women who consciously choose to protect and nurture the helpless beings that they birth.

Nicely put Wrybread, and I agree. You too Lizard

And the helpless beings they DON'T birth, but mother and raise anyway.
  • WryBread
It is natures way for a mother to protect and defend her children, period. We have built in radar, some just choose to ignore it. These mothers chose poorly. I have little sympathy for any mother that wouldn’t protect and nurture their own.

and I made it in to the podcast!! Who wants my autograph!
  • solange822001
What's going on? I am dying to hear the second half of the podcast (I had to leave for work this morning, so I couldn't finish it) and the page won't load. I need my Demon fix!
  • megamum
But if 3 kids are killed by a mother’s crack-addict boyfriend who has violent tendencies…well sure, the boyfriend is to blame for the actual deaths, but the mother should take some responsibility as well. I think the fine line comes from placing blame where it belongs, and not coming across as if you think any of the victims deserved it.

  • I've got an Error message...
  • Solange, I don't remember who had said it, but the comment had stuck with me and I figured I would address it in the podcast instead of typing it because I didn't want my comment to sound to callous.

Morbid, I don't know if you were referring to me, or someone else said it, but I think I was the one who said that mom's boyfriend is the most dangerous person to a child. And you are absolutely right, the most dangerous person is the mom. The first thing that came to mind when you said that was when I read that Lisa Frieberg had an exboyfriend who used to use crack, and she would leave her kids alone at night to drive him to go get it. She chose to bring those dangerous men around her children, and I really do feel that she is partly responsible for those kid's deaths. I was hesitant to say anything at first, because I dont want to seem coldhearted or "blaming the victim", but since Imp kind of pointed it out, I have to say I agree 100 percent.

I have to agree with Morbid on the Myspace case. Now concerns are that simply setting up a hotmail account and NOT identifying yourself honestly could be prosecuted.

Where is that damn groan button for swivel here???

Outstanding job team, you have me talking back to the computer trying to respond to your comments.

LMAO Good job again guys. OK you had to know I was going to critique your "Canadian" accents in your skit right??

Swivel - Not to enlarge your helmet or anything but you could pass for a Canadian. Of the 3 of you I would say you have no accent, which I suppose coming from me means you talk like me. ;)

Imp - LMAO at all the "eh's". What's funny is I don't know anyone here who says "eh". Sort of a pop culture thing from the early eighties. You don't really have an accent by my standards anyway. You have a radio voice though, it's very clear and articulate....of and SEXY!!

Morbid - You my friend could never pass for a Canuck! LOL Your accent is very southern and reminds me of a cowboy, or a cowboy fantasy I have. ;) It's just masculine and sexy with a southern drawl.
  • maryhaze
yeah, but the top one was the one i wanted to suck the filling out first.
  • YAY
  • I would like to point that Morbid put "eh"s in my final cut that I never said when i was taping. So there.

I recorded the phone call. I have the confession. :P
  • nurseronda
Should have made the Cesar Monarrez's "Mai Girlfriend is This Many" kind of look like a tot used a crayon on his picture.
  • I’m the black one. Up top.

That's chocolate. In no way are you ever that sweet.
  • Why was I lisping? Oh yeah, because i hadn't slept in two days. My enunciation goes to crap after 48 hours without sleep.

I'm liking it so far. We're all serious and debatey and stuff. :D
  • Mmm … cannoli.

I'm the black one. Up top.
