Cesar Monarrez Rapes Children

SPRINGDALE, Ark. 2/13/08 — Cesar Monarrez, 18, otherwise known as “Bubba”, is a part-time teacher at the Royal Children’s Academy in Springdale. He worked at the day care for about four months until a 4-year-old girl told authorities that her privates were burning because “Bubba” touched her with a knife inside his pocket.
Authorities then reviewed some close-circuit video which showed Monarrez putting his hands down the little girl’s pants while she was sleeping. Monarrez has now been charged with rape and is being held in the Washington County jail on $ 100, 000 bond.. THe director of the daycare facility, Howard Davis, stated that “There wasn’t anything that we saw or heard from any of our employees that would let us think for a second that there was something going on“.
What is kind of surprising is that the allegations were made on Feb 5th by the parents of the girl, but Davis has not notified other parents until now. His reasoning? Davis said he chose not to notify parents of other day care students because he did not know what to tell them for sure. Now that Monarrez has been officially charged with rape, Davis said, he plans to send out a letter.
In other words, some of the parents of kids that go to that daycare are finding out for the first time from the news or even this site, that video was seen of Monarrez fingering a 4-year-old within the walls of that daycare. I guess some parents will be asking their children some very sensitive questions this afternoon after picking up their children from the Royal Children’s Academy.
UPDATE 5/16/08 - Sorry I’m a little late on this one, but on May 9, Cesar Monarrez’ attorney filed a motion stating that Monarrez will use “not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect” as his defense. What this means is that the videotape didn’t lie. On discovery, the defense realized their boy did it, and there was no way he could plead otherwise. By mounting a mental disease or defect defense, Bubba’s dream team will argue that yeah, he did it, but he did it because he’s crazy and couldn’t help himself.
As opposed to pleading guilty and just letting Bubba go to prison, the hope is that he will instead be sentenced to a mental health facility, where he is less likely to become someone’s bitch and then could get out in a few years and rape children some more. Well, that’s helpful. We’ll see if an Arkansas jury buys it.
Update 7/23/08 - We’ll it has finally happened. Cesar Monerrez pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of sexual assault. Each conviction carries a sentence of 20 years. Have fun you fucking, fuck.

Patting her on the head and telling her that she’s just a child and therefore shouldn’t hear nasty things is very strange when she seems eager to court the nastiness and put it out there herself.
I wish her the best. But I’ll tell her that the best is very different from what she’s putting out for people to judge her by. It is going to take effort to get the best that life holds for her and she’s not too young to start taking control of herself.

The truth is she is just a child and shouldn’t hear nasty things. However, I think it is far to late in the game to try to remedy that problem. She has been over exposed to a rotting society long before ever finding her way here. But we don’t have to contribute to the rot. She wants us to think that she’s tough but in truth she is just a 14 year old girl that is scared to death. I hope her toughness isn’t ever put the test.
I know you mean well Nuberius, but seriously, that is her parents job. They are not doing what they are supposed to. If more people would take an active role in the lives of their children and know what they are up to at all times, half the stories on DD would not even exist.

You are right Kathy to a certain degree. Her parents are obviously not aware of her activities online and from the way she talks and types they don’t appear to be interested in her school work either. But I never said it was our job to to correct this. In fact I stated that it was probably to late for anyone to remedy the problem. What I said was we don’t have to make it worse. So you think that because she acts like she is past the point of innocence that it is okay to say the things that were said to her? That somehow those comments were harmless? Maybe she is a victim herself. Of neglect perhaps? It doesn’t matter how rude and obnoxious she has been here, sexually explicit innuendos directed at a 14 yr old is never acceptable, at least not for me.

Man I almost feel bad for Courkie’s sister. Of course, Bubba will most likely find a new “girlfriend” in prison. As for the daycare, more thorough background checks (When I was thirteen and volunteering at my church’s preschool, the church talked to my mother about requiring fingerprinting; surely this center could have looked at this guy’s record a little more closely, including his record as a minor), more surveillance reviews, and maybe notifying parents when situations like this happen as soon as they happen instead of a considerably long time after the fact.
I just heard on the local news that the state is now investigating the day care for not doing required background checks. I only caught a little bit of it so there may be links on the interweb giving details. I’ll have a look around tomorrow and post what I find.

FAYETTEVILLE - A Springdale day-care center employee pleaded not guilty Tuesday in the alleged rape of a 4-year-old girl.
Cesar Monarrez Jr., 18, of 1015 Jefferson in Springdale, a child-care provider at Royal Children’s Academy, was taken into custody following a four-day investigation into allegations that he raped the girl earlier this month while she was in his care, according to Springdale police.
Washington County Circuit Judge William Storey set a May 14 trial date. Bond was set at $100,000, and, if Monarrez is released, he is to have no contact with the victim.
If convicted, Monarrez faces 10 to 40 years or life in prison.
Thank you for the follow up, AB. I was wondering when the trial date would be set. Personally, I am voting for life in prison without the luxury of solitary confinement.

Of course his lawyer will tell him to plead innocent (who wants to plead guilty in the rape of a four year old) so that this will go to court so from there the jury will get to watch the tape and he will be convicted by that same jury. I don’t know a sane person who would not convict him after that tape is watched.
