Kenneth Shepard Is So Busted
Tulsa, OK - Kenneth Edward Shepard, 35, got a little surprise on Thursday. Instead of getting to forcibly rape a six-year-old girl, he got arrested. The police had help from the child’s mother, who became disturbed when Shepard started voicing a sexual interest in her child and making plans for a little visit. I want to know how you go from “Hey, I’m Ken, how YOU doin’?” to “Can I molest your six year old daughter for about an hour?”
What police are saying is that Shepard and the little girl’s mother developed an online relationship. At some point, it progressed, and Shepard began to talk about the things he’d like to do to little girls; specifically, the woman’s daughter. This mother was a smart cookie, though. She called the police.
Officers set up surveillance and recorded chat logs, cell phone conversations, IMs and text messages. On a number of occasions, Shepard talked openly about wanting to rape the child. Police and the child’s mother let him talk, and Shepard made plans to be at the woman’s house at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. So did the cops, and Shepard was arrested.
I find it hard to believe that a first-time pedophile would be so bold as to engage a child’s own mother in conversation about raping her kid. I’m gonna bet that this guy’s done things like this before. His computer is probably going to be a gold mine for investigators, and frankly, I won’t be surprised to learn that there aresome less-fortunate victims in Ken Shepard’s past.
Kenneth Edward Shepard is charged with attempted first-degree rape. He is being held in the Tulsa County Jail on $50,000 bond.

That there is a better woman than me. I would have driven to his house and kicked the shit out of him the first time I thought he was into my kid (or any other kid for that matter). Kudos to her for helping to get another sick asshole off of the street!!!
Thanks for digging Imp and clarifying the mother’s role. The article I read didn’t say the mother was co-operating and the thought that she wasn’t made my skin crawl!
This mom deserves a medal for calling the cops and helping them catch this sick fucker. There is no doubt in my mind this wasn’t his first time. Maybe now that his mugshot is out there it might encourage any other victims to come forward.

I wanted to let you know that Kenneth Sheperd, plea bargained and was not charged with the attempted rape of a 6 year old. He lives in my neighborhood with his wife who is a PA at St John’s hospital. his brother apparently made bond and she took him back. He piddles around the yard and has forced the kids, mostly girls, living around him to stay inside. The parents stare im down but, he doesn’t seem to mind. It is really sad and disappointing. Last week he had a huge cargo van with a private school bus plate. I pray his new job is not driving it for a school. Its terrible! Thought you might be interested to hear the outcome…..

His info can be verified at oscn.net. Just enter his case# CF-2008-2439. He plead out to a lesser misdemeanor charge which does not require him to list as a registered sex offender. So much for our fabulous DA’s office which touts himself to be a child advocate! The mom did everything she should and could have done; the police did their job and nabbed the pervert; then our fabulous court system failed, which often is the case in crimes against children and females, and now we can just wait around for this guy to damage some child’s life! His big “sentencing” requires a psych eval (ok…that’s a no-brainer…PERVERT PSYCHO…I’m pretty sure that’s a medical term, by the way) and some counseling. Yeah…that usually works…never. He can go about his life and the little girls in his neighborhood can’t even play in their front yards now for fear of this guy leering at them and fantasizing unthinkable things about them. And, mind you, his home is surrounded by other homes, all of them with little girls living in them, and he…surprise, surprise…bought the house next to the neighborhood bus stop! Way to go Tulsa DA!!

This shit right here is the reason why I am not currently in the legal field. Who knows what sort of politics resulted in the plea bargain. I’ll hold the DA responsible, but this wouldn’t be the first DA to have tied hands. Perhaps there was some technicality or mishandling of evidence that forced the prosecution to plead down?
I can barely handle this type of thing as an observing third party. I might hang myself if I was that DA.

I was in a protective order courtroom with this guy and the girl. The guy admitting to talking to her about her kid but they both said that he never asked to see her and never asked about her kid, she admitted that he said he was coming to see her (mom) and not the kid. Apparently it took her like 6 hours to convince him to come over! She lied at first to the judge and said that he started it, but later admitted that she got off on the sick crap. He said that she kept threatening to tell his wife or get even if he doesn’t leave her soon. They read the police report in there, she totally set this dude up, she should be on here too. She even told the police a different story from what she told the judge. He is still nasty though, he might not have known her age or tried to get with her kid, but talking to her about the incest crap she was into is freakin nasty! Serves him right for cheating on his wife. Go hang out in court sometime, its a freak-fest
