Eustis, FL - She’s wrong. Noelle Wood, 26, might have been a good mother once. Maybe even as recently as a year ago. But a little time and lot of meth make all the difference. What probably started as a weight loss program, or a little something to get her through the day, ended this week with Noelle Wood losing her children and being charged with neglect.

Noelle Wood’s Myspace page says she has six kids, but only three were living with her: three preschoolers ages four, three, and two. I haven’t been able to find out where the others are, although it appears that an ex husband may have two of her children.

The younger children’s father apparently asked a neighbor for help because he said that Noelle had a meth problem and was taking the children with her on drug buys. However, there’s no information about where the father was or why he didn’t just go get his kids himself. The neighbor did go look in on the family and she called police because the stench and living conditions in the house were so bad.

Deputies found fly-infested rotting food on almost every surface of the home. The children’s bedroom had no linens. There was no running water or electricity, but that didn’t stop Noelle from telling officers that she was “very busy” as a stay at home mom who “also takes online classes”. Using only the power of her electric personality, one wonders? The children themselves were dirty and wearing dirty clothes, and garbage was all over the floors of the home.

Even so, says Noelle, she “(doesn’t) have a meth problem”. Apparently she hasn’t yet learned that one can’t be a recreational tweaker. Arrested Thursday morning, Noelle Wood is in the Lake County Jail charged with three counts of child neglect. She is being held on $15,000 bond.

No shit, Imp…There is no recreational crank usage. This drug was formulated by the devil himself. Meth takes payment from those who escape with their lives in the form of pieces of their souls.

Here in Washington, meth is a big thing in the more rural portions of the state. One city in particular, Ellensburg, is particularly afflicted. While rolling through there on the way to my favorite camping spot, I couldn’t help but fantasize about positioning myself on a roof top, sniper-rifle in hand, capping those zombies we know as “tweekers” square between the eyes like some real life Resident Evil scene.

For those of you without personal experience with meth addicts, please understand that I do not jest about killing them casually. These things are mere shells of the human beings they once were, and I recommend you do with them what you would do when encountering any zombie - No, not hold up at the Winchester - lock them out of your homes and your lives. Do not loan them anything; do not try to save them. Best case scenario, you get to bear witness to the life seeping slowly and painfully from a loved one. Worst case, they suck you down with them.

    This is so true Athena.

At 21, I was engaged to a wonderful guy who had a mom who loved the meth. I had been dating him for about 4 years and had first hand experience watching her life slide down the tubes. She had been using it since he was 10 and wanted to take off a few extra pounds she had gained while pregnant with his little sister. My ex was literally raising his 11 year old sister and trying to keep the house together. Eventually, it became too stressful and we called it quits. His mom passed away of a sudden and massive heart attack about five years ago at the age of 47. My ex couldn’t understand what could have possibly caused it. Denial, denial, denial.

Noelle looks like she has visibly aged 10 years from the photo on left to her mug shot on the right. Those poor babies.

I have a family member that is on crack. He is down to living in his car. Stealing shit to sell like copper. Down to 100 lbs. He gets $3000 a month for being disabled. He is long gone and we don’t expect him to live much longer. The whites in his eyes are a light brown color. He is one sick puppy. He got his check on the first and is already out of money. At one time he was the best uncle in the world. Now, I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire. He has put the family thru hell.

Yeah typical meth face. I wonder if she was cooking that shit?

Theoretically, any drug *can* ruin a life. Hell, I’ve known kids who would prostitute themselves for ecstacy, which isn’t even physically addictive. But, having known hard drug addicts of all kinds quite well (crack, heroin, coke, etc.), I’ve still got to give the “Most Depraved Drug Ever” award to meth. Mostly because, a.) I’ve known recreational crack users and, b.) no other drug (that I’m aware of) puts an environment so at risk to manufacture. They don’t have to rock contamination suits and dig the ground underneath up when dealing with a crack manufacturer.

That being said, Barbara, I sympathize. Sadly, I find that first hand experience with that type of situation is the most effective anti-drug education we’ve got. Unfortunately, you have to lose someone dear to you to get it. :(

Barbara, I am so sorry that your family has had to witness and deal with the decline of your your uncle. It was hard to see what happened with my ex-fiance’s family, but I can’t imagine what your family has had to endure with your uncle’s addiction. ):

I just saw “Gone Baby Gone” for the first time last night. The similarities are uncanny.

What really sickens me about these idiots is how fucking fertile they are. How about after the third kid, the doctor delivering her mutant runts tell her that she has had enough, and scoop out her uterus. Reproducing should not be left up to fate and happenstance.

I’m from Oklahoma, and at the age of 21, I’ve had too many people that I love die and destory their lives for this shit. I’m actually pretty amused that you guys aren’t being assholes about this.

    Anyway…

I have a family member that is on crack. He is down to living in his car. Stealing shit to sell like copper. Down to 100 lbs. He gets $3000 a month for being disabled. He is long gone and we don’t expect him to live much longer. The whites in his eyes are a light brown color. He is one sick puppy. He got his check on the first and is already out of money. I lived with my uncle from the time I was one until I was seventeen. He overdosed and died a day before his 35th birthday. I know what you’re feeling, and I’m sorry. However, if I could suggest something, try not to hate him. I saw my uncle the last day that he lived, and I was so pissed off at him for the things he did to my family, that I didn’t even speak to him. I seriously wish I could have that day back to at least tell him that I loved him. Somewhere, incredibly deep down inside a drug addict is the person they once were.

    Well, fuck. This is depressing.

I hope the mom gets clean, but I’ve RARELY seen it happen.

I don’t understand why people get involved with this shit. It’s got quick-and-painful-death written all over it. It’s not moral superiority or good character that’s kept me away from hard drugs, far from it. It’s just the ability to observe the equation: mess w. shit + me = misery for all.

I understand her denial and loss of rationale and compassionate thought. Meth is one of the best drugs for destroying your sense of reality as it eats you down to soul and bone - otherwise, if people could see how far they have sunk and how skanky they look they might slow down a little.

Still, best thing for the kids with a drug addict mom in denial is removal, and jail for her. Jeesus, 26 and looking this wasted. Middle America is being eaten away.

Poor little kids. She has 6 kids which are not being take care of by her, Why keep having kids if she is not a responsible woman. Kids are not pets or dolls to make a collection of, they need love and care from mom.

Whoa, this has an awesome example of before and after. This woman seriously looks like an awake corpse in the second photo.

Hey Morbid and Imp, you should start a section that just has before/after pics on this site!

I wonder what the time frame difference was in the 2 photos - not long enough to age that much

An awake corpse indeed! I don’t know anyone that does meth but I know it wreaks havoc on a person’s appearance. Damn! In the before pic she looks like her stated age, but the after pic…she does look to have aged at least 10 years.

My older bother has a serious problem with crack, my family doesn’t even associate with him anymore because of all the shit he’s stolen and pulled and done and said, but he looks like shit as well because of his drug usage.

The 1st clue to this dumb bitch that she is a BAD mother would be #1 - she is 25 or 26 and has SIX children?! #2 - of the above 6 children she only has “custody” of 3. Enough said. Obviously she’s never heard of birth control…
