I saw this yesterday and it just breaks my heart. I don’t understand how anyone can shoot a child..well hell I don’t understand how they kill them at all, but for some reason to me shooting seems so much more violent. And for it to be your own kids? I don’t see how a mother can do that. Selfish is an understatement. Fucked up bitch twatwaffle is more like it.

I saw this a couple days ago since it was local, but just didn’t have time to get it posted. I just do not understand it. I cannot wrap my brain around why she would do this.
I do not know anyone involved with this, but just from the little bit we know, it seems as if this Conrad fellow loved them kids. Enough to move to another state to be close to them.
I cannot imagine what he and the connected families are going through with this one.

well, this is a weird twist on the parental murder-suicide. you don’t usually hear about women doing this, especially not with a gun.

It’s adults wanting to get back at their exes so much that they figure, “Hey, I’m gonna kill myself, but no way am I going to let that b@#ch/a$$-hole enjoy having our kids by him/herself!! I’ll take them with me! MUUUUAAAAAAHaHa!!!!!!” Very sad and pathetic. Taking your own life is one thing, but how can you murder your own children! Seems worse than being murdered by a total stranger. I mean, would you ever expect death to come from your parents hand?

I can’t imagine the horror in the last few moments of their short little lives. Fucking makes me sick. This woman was obviously miserable. I wish she’d botched her own suicide and ended up living to see what she’d done to her babies.
Actually, fuck that. I’m glad she’s dead.

I don’t think I can comment on this case because we don’t know the contents of the suicide note nor what drove her to commit the act. Surely there was some reason to offing her own kids? Abuse from the husband maybe, maybe he was abusing the kids and she didn’t want her children to live with the psychological demons? Could be anything, really…

Why is it if a woman does it somehow the husband/man is still responsible twisted? There would be no sympathy if the father had done this in cold blood but the mother doing it somehow the father was abusive blah blah millions of other excuses that would be used. Women, including mothers can kill in cold blood just as much as men can. I wil say on the record that she’s a cold blooded killer, nothing more, nothing less

Are you reading the same article I just did? Looks to me like Morbid placed all the blame squarely on the mother on this one, and the comments that have followed so far indicate that those who have commented feel pretty much the same way. Clearly you haven’t read our site much. Look around. Check out Morgan Hite and Heaven Kristina Smith for two recent cases in which we lay the blame solely on the mother.
You’re right that women can and do kill – but I don’t see that we hold them less responsible when they do.

Maybe something else was going on with this situation, we may never know. However, no way in hell can putting holes through your children by even a thought if you really cared that much for them. Guess it’s another case of children are property.

I know people will disagree but after 4years…..thats a long time for a woman to think to kill herself and her kids……..I personally think the husbands story sounds a little off…maybe it is too many lifetime movies….(one actually quite like this) where the husband kills the family because he can no longer have them and she threatens to take them away….and then he makes it look like a sucide….
I want to know if the note was hand written or not……and I want to know why if the door was unlocked why the husband did not go in the house if he was so concerned….he filed missing persons report…….
something about the story just does not add up for me…..

as in every murder/suicide, there is/was no “reason” to kill the kids… no rational reason. I think a mother who does this is functioning in an irrational, insane manner that can’t be explained or understood by anyone else. even if it was along the lines of extreme hatred/revenge for bio dad, that still doesn’t really make sense; it’s truly crazy. I’m not arguing she was legally insane. Who knows? it’s moot now, she can’t be held legally responsible.
I’m not trying to excuse this evil, heinous act. I’m just saying that I think it cannot be understood in any rational sense. which is kinda good. I’d actually be a little scared if I understood how someone could murder her own kids.

She probably planned it that way – door unlocked. It was Conrad’s visitation weekend. She probably wanted to frame him! My husband would never enter the home of his son, even if the door was unlocked. Ex-wives can be crazy!!

Also, the door may have been locked when he went by the home as I am pretty sure he stated that when he went by, there were no cars in the driveway. She and the kids may have actually left for that period of time.

You’re so right, I never what to comprehend “how” people can commit such acts against children. I’m doing fine just hating them for their actions. I don’t care about their mentality – understanding “how” would not bring any of the children back. I, however, do know the cure.
