NASHUA, N.H. – On Friday, Ivonne Hernandez, 49 got into an argument with a group of people over the Red Sox and the Yankees. During the altercation, a disparaging comment was made in regards to a Yankees. Hernandez did what any sane person would do in that situation and drove her car into the group, killing Matthew Beaudoin, 29.
The argument began in Slade’s Food and Spirits before spilling out into the parking lot. When a Yankees sticker was seen on her car, the group began chanting “Yankee’s Suck!”. It was at this point that Hernandez drove her car directly towards the group. Witnesses state that she never braked as she headed towards them, eventually striking Beaudoin who was shielding another member of the group.
“Mr. Beaudoin was struck by Miss Hernandez’s vehicle,” Assistant Attorney General Susan Morrell said. “He went onto the windshield and then, when the car hit the parking meter, he was ejected into the middle of Elm Street. He died of massive head trauma.”
Hernandez states that she did not mean to hit anyone, and that she was only trying to scare the group and thought they would get out of the way. It has also been determined she was drunk at the time of the incident. Ivonne Hernandez has been charged with second-degree murder.

This woman is pathetic and stupid. Luckily, she strikes me as the kind that has a soul. I imagine she’ll be appropriately tormented by guilt, shame and remorse.
Too bad that won’t do Matthew Beaudoin or his family a bit of good.

A bunch of stupid people got blitzed in a bar and started to fight about professional athletes who don’t even care that any of the drunks were alive, but someone decided to drive her car into a crowd and killed someone. Who was that someone? Peoples heros too! Hard to believe that anyone who could make such a dumb misjudgement is anyones heros too. You must live in some neighborhood.
