Jacksonville Beach, FL - When Daniel Rollins goes camping, he uses the Pedophile’s Camping Manual. Tent, check. Blanket, check. Twelve-year-old girlfriend, check. So Rollins, 21, is in jail today after being caught naked in his tent with a twelve-year-old who had been missing since April 24.
Well, at least there’s no doubt about his guilt. Rollins admitted to police that he was having sex with the child, and had done so “at least three times”. He also said he knew the child was twelve years old, and that he knew she was missing. I guess he didn’t have much choice, what with being naked under blankets with the girl, who was also naked when the pair was found this morning.
Police don’t think the child was forcibly abducted, but neither do they think that a twelve year old can consent to anything, so they arrested the hell out of Rollins.
I found Daniel Rollins’ Myspace. But it shows that he was online and updating on April 30, and logged on again May 1 - well after the sixth-grade girl went missing. Makes you wonder where they were stopping so he could update, and whether a missing little girl was updating her own. I suspect there’s a lot to this story we haven’t heard yet, so I will update as I get information.
Daniel Rollins is charged with lewd and lascivious battery. He is being held in the Duval County Jail without bond.

This guy, the one with out the ‘g’ — someone needs to sell his punk ass to the Aryan Brotherhood so they can knock out his teeth and make sure he learns why child molesters are even the lowest of the low on the cell block.

“JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL — For three days, police say a thick wooded area was home to a 12-year-old girl and her 21-year-old boyfriend. The two were living at a transient camp just north of JTB.
The girl’s mother tells First Coast News her daughter ran away more than a week ago. The mother went to pick the girl up from Southside Middle School but then found out she had skipped her last two classes. They later discovered she was with Daniel Rollins. Investigators say the two had met three months ago and were in a relationship.
“They finally decided they wanted to be boyfriend and girlfriend. She ran away, she came out here, she finally found him on Friday and they’ve been living in a tent for three days until the police found them,” says Sgt. Tom Bingham with Jacksonville Beach Police.
Detectives say the girl’s parents received a tip from one of her friends about where she was. After searching one camp with no luck, police later discovered her at another one. She was in the tent, lying naked with Rollins.
“They were both interviewed as far as what had happened prior. They both admitted to having sex with each other. He was arrested and she was transported back to her parents,” says Sgt. Bingham.
Her mother says even though this wasn’t her daughter’s first time running away, she’s hoping this was the last.
Police say Daniel Rollins has a criminal history between Duval and Clay counties of burglary, grand theft and larceny. In this case he is charged with lewd acts upon a child.
According to police reports the 12-year-old girl had recently been returned by police after running away back in March.
Investigators say when she first met Rollins, she told him she was 16. A month later he discovered she was 12 but the two remained together.”

If he loved the kid and wasn’t just in it to get laid, he’d have taken her home to her mother and told her to stay there until she was legal.
