May 3, 2008 at 5:03 pm -Even though this happened down around the “elbow” of the state, I am a native of NW FL, (been gone a long time, but still have family there…) and this type of redneck/ trash mentality is rampant. It is like stepping back 10 years when I go down to visit!
All of the smaller towns in particular have these type of stoopid rednecks running around. Nothing else to do but create their own drama. EX: who does what to who, who does whose mama/ daddy, who is having who’s baby, who beat up who, who gave who what/ who is whose GF REALLY doing while who is at work…
I wouldn’t be suprised if the parents initially liked the guy and allowed him to “hang” with their family/ daughter.
Sad that she was gullible enough/ wanted the attention/ or whatever the hell you want to call it, to end up with this POS “thrill-ride”.

Her mother found James number on her cell phone and since she was missing at the time, she gave that number to the police who was checking out this lead, but they didn’t know James was already dead at the time. Toby called Morgan from James’ home after he killed him. James’ brother, Mike, was the one who called police because he didn’t hear back from James. Yes, it is true that James was born without hands. He could do anything that a person with hands could do, and did not let his disability get in his way.

You talk pretty big for a junior high school student, so maybe you do have “the real story” - kind of like how “the real story” on your Myspace the other day was “R.I.P TOBY LEE LOWRY MY BIG BROTHER WHO WAS SHOT BY THE COPS”, right? Except he wasn’t? And he’s not dead now? So your story so far seems to be kinda inaccurate. (”Inaccurate” means “wrong”.)
Or maybe you were just putting that up there just in case, right? I mean, guy’s gonna kill someone and get shot by the cops, you gotta have your Myspace ready. Good lookin’ out there, li’l rabbit.
So man up for me a minute and do tell. Old guy just die by himself? Toby and Morgan not fucking? Or they are, even though she’s jailbait? What part of all this did we not get right?

they were found panhandling! also they we’re using the car of the guy he murdered…and i don’t know if any of you knew this, but James Stewart was born with no hands, so it must’ve been easy to kill someone with that disability.
Lowry is now facing grand theft auto charges and interferring with custody of a juvenile.
Luckily these two idiots didn’t try to enter Ciduad Juareze because with their possible accents and complexion, they would have been totally fucked if the Mexican police got them…straight to Cereso.

By the description of the two I swear I saw a couple walking thru the parking lot of an HEB or Kroger’s grocery store on Saturday that fit it. Lowry will remain in El Paso, Texas, on charges of car theft, interference with custody of a child and panhandling while Putnam County investigators mull additional charges and extradition to Florida.
The man picked up with the couple claimed he was just a hitchiker, but he has an outstanding arrest warrant from Marion County, Fla., the next county to the southwest of Putnam.

Stewart was beaten with two metal rods, stabbed multiple times and suffocated with a plastic bag that night, Kelly said. Detectives had traced the call after finding Leppert’s cell phone at Lowry’s residence in the Palatka area. Stewart’s body was not found until later.”
They make a lovely couple!

The fact that she may have been with the guy and not known about the murder would have not surprised me. The fact that she was with the guy and knew he had killed a guy would not have surprised me.
But to find out that she may have whacked on this old man with a steel rod? It just goes against what we normally post. The last young girl I can remember blogging about who took part in murdering anyone was the chick from Medicine Hat who helped kill her family by attempting to stab her little brother.
Never mind, I just remembered the girl who ran out laughing with her boyfriend after killing her mother.

There is a lot of incorrect information and sensationalizing from the media (shocker) which has succeeded in convicting Morgan and even painting her in some instances as the “mastermind.” She was a sweet naive girl who “fell in love” and was charmed, manipulated and controlled by an older and unbeknownst to her (or her family)- psychopath. The initial post, “baddest taste in men” is essentially correct, save for the last correlation with Starkweather and Fugate, which is why I did not bother to post anything. However, if you notice throughout the posted updates in your own blog, there were inconsistencies reported from the media (and Palatka Sheriff’s Dept.). The Sheriff (ironically up for re-election this year) has never returned any phone calls to Morgan’s mother, and through his other “good-ole boy” network lied to her about Morgan coming home and calling her mother as soon as possible ( the mother heard one minute of hysterical crying and “I didn’t know” before Sheriff Kelly clicked the phone off. ) He did speak with Morgan’s attorney who demand that Morgan not be questioned;however they are in Texas, and loop holes have probably been used to accomplish their interrogation and they have kept the mother and attorney in the dark while they questioned Morgan (who has no experience with the legal system as Lowry does) for 48 hours. One has to consider what happened in the interrogation of the juvenile for two days. Miranda rights? The sheriff’s department felt no need to issue an Amber Alert on April 22 because they saw no danger (to meet the Amber Alert criteria) however, the Sheriff’s department was well aware of Lowry’s past criminal history, Morgan’s mother at that time was not, she knew her daughter was in danger, but not to the extent that the Sheriff’s department did. Now an innocent man has been brutally murdered and the “good ole” boys are looking for a hanging and not just in Lowry. That’s all I will say here as there will be a lot going on in the courts and media in the coming weeks. I like this site and just wanted to set some of the record straight. This case is not as straightforward as portrayed in the media. Morgan is innocent until proven guilty in a court of peers, not Guilty by Fox news. Thanks.

I should point out that we are totally not FoxNews. Neither are we a courtroom, so we really don’t have to presume innocence at all. But I think that Morgan probably was swayed by her boyfriend. I don’t know why she agreed to go up to Stewart’s door, ring the bell, call her own cell phone and scope out the place. That alone tells me she knew he was going to be robbed, or worse.
It’s unfortunate that Morgan’s mother seemed to know so little of what was happening with her daughter before all this went down. It sounds like she doesn’t seem to know what’s happening now either. Is her mom in Texas now? If not, why not? If my kid were arrested in another state, I would sell blood to get there, get a lawyer for her, and find out what the hell was going on.
It sounds like you’re alleging that Morgan was not read her rights and that her attorney has not been allowed to be present during interrogation. If so, that’s pretty huge. Am I reading you correctly?

Doesn’t she kinda remind you of one of Manson’s followers?
And if you carry that analogy further…..well, you can decide for yourselves whether personal accountability or brainwashed idiot is more fitting.
That being said, I wasn’t surprised that the girl has been implicated as having participated in the actual murder. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to find that she knew nothing about it, either.

And why she’s senseless enough to get involved with a man this much older in the first place. My mother spoke logically with me, “Be wary of older boys, honey. Don’t you wonder why they can’t get a girl their own age? It’s probably because they’re losers.” Pretty much broke me of my fascination with inappropriately older boys.

I understand that we have a relative here, and there is always the possibility of the media blowing things up, but I know that in some places, when a murder is commited during the commission of a felony, even the criminal who didn’t do the actual killing is held liable for it. It’s a warning from the govt. to stay out of doing dumb shit with dumb people, because you will go to jail for their actions. I also understand this girl is young, but she’s not that young. She’s old enough to know right from wrong. It is correct to put some blame on the boyfriend, but not all of it. She made her own choices, she chose to follow him. She is liable for everything she helped him do.
