I can understand your visceral reaction to the post you quoted, but I didn't see it as intentionally justifying or excusing what Jessica did. It seems to me that it was more of a commentary on why women can become this way and from the way it was written seems to be coming from someone that is in a field that works with damaged women in some form. Maybe the writer will clarify this.

While you managed to live through your own private hell and found a way to not let it destroy you and not repeat history, it cannot be denied that there are many women (and men) who are not as strong or determined as you were/are and history does help to mold them into monsters. I don't for a minute excuse what Jessica did, but if it came out that she had a history like yours or worse, I wouldn't discount or be surprised that it was a factor in shaping her into the evil bitch she is today. All this has been said before. Still, I must say it again. Everyone, I repeat everyone on this earth has a story to tell. We have all had bad times and good. 6. Was homeless
7. Entered the Army at 19, my last hope

In all the shit, and I have not gone into specifics about some of the shit I have seen and the people I have met. I never, never attacked, murdered, abused, stole, mugged (other then petty shit, pack of ciggarettes, etc..). I was self-destructive, not a nasty twatwaffle. So please, USA get off this shit. Regardless of religion, race, and class, as human beings we know when we are wrong. We wouldn't try to hide it otherwise. Some people just don't listen to their moral compass, for whatever resaon. There may be some cases for example in mental illness this comapass is off balance. So bottom line I say fuck this I did this dastardly deed because of what happened to me. The book, "A boy Called It", (mentioned onthis site)is a prime example. Kid underwent years of abuse, did not turn into a killer, abuser etc.....

My Dad was abused as a kid, to the point that his father even backed the car up hitting him and knocking him down with the open door because he was too slow getting in. While I remember him having a capability to make threats that would make people jump to attention...or run away crying...he NEVER laid a hand on ANYONE! Having been abused as a child IS NOT an acceptable excuse for ANYTHING! Some people add nothing good to the world whatsoever, and don't deserve to be here. This Vasquez is one of them--what positive things is she ever going to bring to the world and to humanity? Nothing. Zip. Nada. Zilch. Zero. I see no reason for her continued existence, frankly. We treat the elderly like they don't matter in our society--everything is about youth, and looking young, and moving fast. While obviously most of us would never dream of harming the elderly, I'm not surprised that some teenage snot thinks she's somehow entitled to have her own way just because she's young--we dismiss the elderly like they absolutely don't exist, so it's no wonder that she picked up the idea that Youth Is All somewhere.

You know, this is absolutely my biggest fear about getting old--that I'll be a sitting duck for any teenage thug who wants to rob or beat me just for fun. My grandmother didn't want to lose her independence and move out of her house, but I just couldn't stand the thought that Old Woman Living Alone = Sitting Target for Every Thug in the Neighborhood That Knows She Lives Alone. Of course, not everyone can afford a retirement community or nursing home--and even then, you have to pray that your elderly loved ones aren't being robbed or abused by some minimum wage orderly with a prison record.

Frankly, I think Vasquez should be charged with attempted murder. It can be really difficult for bones to heal in the elderly, and a broken hip has led to the rapid decline of more than one old lady (my great-grandma, for one). I truly hope Mrs. Page heals quickly. And I truly hope Vasquez realizes there is a very special place in hell reserved for someone who would do this. She can spend the rest of her life as a nun, serving poverty-striken lepers, and it STILL wouldn't make up for this.

I just hate the eyebrows. People, eyebrows are supposed to extend from just inside the inner corner of your eye to just past the outer corner. Like this:

Brows MUST extend at least just slightly past the eye in both directions, and they should be no thinner than, oh, a piece of linguini (by width, not depth) at the inner end. All I could think of when I read this was, "Is she a mom?" Heaven knows that a child wouldn't make it in her care if she is so easily pissed by an elderly driver.
