his eleven-year-old victim, not so much.

Paris, IL – Anthony J. Boyer likes to sexually assault little girls – in particular, his eleven-year-old female relative. In April of 2007, he was arrested and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, a Class X felony, and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony. The Class X charge carries a mandatory prison term. On Monday, April 21, Anthony Boyer dodged prison with the help of Judge James R. Glenn. Way to protect the child victim, Edgar County!Â
According to the Edgar County court docket, Boyer bonded out almost immediately on the initial charges. Last November, he struck a plea deal that took the Class X felony of predatory criminal assault off the table. Instead, Boyer pled guilty and waived trial on a single count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a family member, which is a Class 2 felony.
Boyer could have faced a possible prison sentence of three to 14 years on the deal. Edgar County State’s Attorney Matt Sullivan requested a ten-year sentence to the Department of Corrections. I mean, the guy molested a family member. You let him out, he’s gonna do it again, right? So ten years seemed like the least that should have been laid down in this case.
But noooo. Judge Glenn decided that four years of probation, a fine, and 364 days of work-release jail time would cover it.  Oh, and he’s not supposed to be around his child or children under 18 without supervision, and he’s been told sternly to stay away from all other kids. And if Boyer’s victim needs counseling, he’s supposed to pay for that.  Well, that oughta do it. As of this morning, Boyer isn’t even listed on Illinois’ sex offender registry.
So, child molesters, if you need somewhere to move, I’d suggest Edgar County, Illinois. If you get caught, the Hon. James Glenn will do you right and put you back in a position to repeat your disgusting crimes. For a few thousand bucks, you can molest a kid, make bail, plead it out, pay your fines and still get to hold a job. Hell, you can be back living in the community with a year!  Edgar County parents, if I were you, I’d examine your voting strategy for the next judicial election.
