Roselle, IL - Chester Stabrowski, 88, is really kind of old for child molesting, isn’t he? Stabrowski is a volunteer usher at St. Walters Church in Roselle. He’s a member of the local Knights of Columbus. Oh, and he’s also in jail tonight, accused of molesting two minor boys he met through his church work. It appears that Chester Stabrowski may well be … a Chester.
Stabrowski allegedly sexually assaulted the two boys after he invited them to a pool party at his home last summer. Details haven’t been released, but it appears that both boys were molested at or around the same time. The boys’ ages were unavailable today.
A couple things bug me about this case. One is that Stabrowski doesn’t appear to have a criminal record - at least not one that I can find. Now, I’m not saying he’s innocent, but it does seem weird that a guy could molest kids until he was 88 before getting caught the first time. The other is the apparent lack of the pedo-eyes. This guy’s eyes just don’t do the Dreamin’ Demon Pedo-Eye stair-step. Maybe it’s age, and everything sags. Or maybe the guy didn’t do it. Or maybe he did do it, but he has Alzheimer’s. Or maybe he’s guilty as bloody sin.
Charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, Chester Stabrowski was arraigned in DuPage County on Wednesday morning. He is being held on $500,000 bond, with orders that if he does post bond, Stabrowski is to have no contact with children under 18 and wear an electronic monitor. He will appear in court again on May 19.

And who found an optician talented enough to create penis-sized glasses? Chop off that guy’s ears, and what you have is an almost perfect facsimile of a male sex organ. Apr 17, 2008 at 11:33 am -I’m with the Imp; this man doesn’t have pedo eyes. He’s a sad looking little old man, and I just find it hard to believe that a) his dick even still operates, and b) that even a small boy couldn’t escape from or injure the old guy in a confrontation.
I’m not saying I don’t believe it’s possible, but I definitely want to learn more before I trash-talk this one.
And seriously - how do you make it to 88 before being busted out as a pedo, at least once?

I believe he also molested my mother when she was young, and I know he raped my aunt when she was 16. My mother doesn’t remember much, and her sister is certifiably insane. I repressed all of those memories as a child, and only remembered them when my mother took my little sister to live with her parents when I was seventeen. I suppose I remembered then, because subconsciously I knew she was in danger. When I ‘outed’ my mother’s father, he was in his late seventies. He had been a deacon at his church for over forty years, and was well known, and loved and respected in his community. Only a handful of people he knew were even willing to consider the possibility that he could have done it. He was never arrested, and outside family and a few close friends of the family, no one ever knew about it.
Age really has nothing to do with it. Ditto the fact that he has no prior record. He could have just been a very GOOD pedo, and avoided being publicly called on his actions. The sick bastard who sired my mother certainly was.

I am not saying this man is definitely guilty of the charges, but just as a general rule, most children do not make this kind of shit up. Especially boy children claiming to have been abused by a man. It is simply too embarrassing a concept for most male children to even think about, much less report. Not only was it SEX (ewww); it was GAY sex (double ewwww). How many boys do you think would risk the ridicule of friends by making up a lie of this magnitude? Certainly it is not impossible to make a case for this being a lying child, but it is highly improbable.

How do you get to 88 without any run-in with the law? Of course, part of that could be that, back when he was in his prime grabbin’ years, sexual molestation was something you didn’t talk about or admit to anyone. That probably enabled a lot of molesters of that generation. Still, I wonder if perhaps he’s sinking into dementia, which can sometimes make people act sexually inappropriate and do things they never would have done in their right mind. Some of the horniest old goats are in nursing homes, or getting home health care and enjoying the sponge baths a little too much–but that can also be a function of whatever condition is causing him to need nursing care in the first place. Sometimes grandpa was always grabby but nobody talked about it; sometimes grandpa is grabby because he’s sinking into Alzheimer’s (and sometimes nobody wants to talk about that, either). If he lived alone, there might not be anyone to notice if Chester was starting to exhibit symptoms.

Hopefully he will never see the light of day again. And this was his first offense, Only had a few traffic violations his entire life.
