Elkins - The charming looking woman above was arrested for grand larceny and had her three children taken away from her after she used them to help burglarize a neighbors home. Kecia Hahn, 42, hoisted her 8-year-old into a window and instructed him to unlock a door. Over a few days period, Hahn and her children, ages 8, 10 and 14, had managed to steal about $1,000 worth of items that included a chest of drawers and a bed.
Police got involved after they received a call from Jack Mallow who said his home had been broken into and furniture and knick-knacks were missing. During their investigation, they began interviewing neighbors. After a suitcase belonging to Mallow was seen in Hahn’s driveway, police interviewed her and asked to look in her garage, which she refused.
Hahn is now sitting in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail charged with one count of burglary and grand larceny with a bond set at $50,000. Her three children are in the custody of the Division of Health and Human Resources.
