Sherry Ambolino: Alcoholic Babysitter

Sherry Ambolino

Richland Township, PA - Sherry Ambolino, 41, must start hitting the bottle early, because by 9:30 Monday morning, she was tanked.  Which might not have been a problem except that her child’s school called to tell Ambolino that her daughter was sick.  So she loaded up the minivan with the four kids she was babysitting that day, including an infant, and drove on over to Richland Elementary to pick up her kid.

Now, I don’t know what Ambolino was drinking, but she was reeking of alcohol and “blowing liquor all over everybody”, according to police.   School staff delayed Ambolino and called police, who arrived to find a very drunk parent, a sick kid, and the four Ambolino was babysitting.  Ambolino was given a field sobriety test at scene and scored an epic fail.

This isn’t Ambolino’s first DUI, either.  She ran the minivan (yep, same one) into a stop sign in nearby Quakertown on February 29.  Police say she was drunk that day as well.   Naturally, a man who spoke to reporters from Ambolino’s home says that “you don’t know her or what she’s going through”.  Well, okay.   I guess that’s way  more important than what Ambolino’s child is going through now that everyone at school knows her mom’s a drunk.  Way to straighten out those priorities and enable the addict, dude.

Sherry Ambolino has been charged with DUI (again).  Police say that child endangerment charges may be forthcoming.  I hope so.  This woman needs rehab stat and no driver’s license maybe ever.  Plus that mugshot is awesome considering it was taken before noon.

Our “Proper use of the word FUCK” class will be held this Friday in drunk chat - unless we are all too fucking drunk to remember, which is more likely than not…

Should you miss the class or attend and not remember, our Hippiepoet is always available for a little one-on-one tutoring. Fuck, yeah!

Amen. Why didn’t that girl try to defend herself? I don’t get it. How can you get pounded like that and not raise a hand to stop it? Like I said, she should have ran to the kitchen where the good weapons are……..

I agree, If she started going ape shit with a knife attacking the leader of the pack maybe she could have made a run for it or scared the others.

She probably figured with the odds at 8 to 1, she didn’t stand a chance anyway. And she looked like the smallest one of them, too. She probably did the smartest thing she could in such a situation, duck and cover.

I agree with your reasoning too. I just don’t know if its in me to lay down.
In the long run she will recover her injuries so I guess she did okay. Just wish she could have gotten a few shots in.

I have to agree with both of you. Not fighting back probably saved her a far worse beating. But, if it had been me, I couldn’t just “lay down”, either. I would have fought until I couldn’t get back up or until I couldn’t swing my fists anymore, which ever came first.

She will live “to fight another day” - that is correct. And, if I were her, I would visit each of those girls, one by one. Then, you would read, at one time or another, how “one by one” they all took their little trip for stitches and such.

I feel a little Hannibal Lector karma kicking in. Yeah.
    Even if it takes years.
    Wow, thats over the top.

OK, not to be a wet blanket y’all, but we have gone off on a tangent about a completely different thread. This is the one about the drunk babysitter….Can I have a round of “Stupid fucking drunkcunt-bitchwhore”s, please? Thanks!

I know people make bad choices when they are drunk, but this is not a case of waking up next to some nameless stranger wondering what the fuck you did last night or, better yet, where the hell you are…not that I know what that’s like ;)

Seriously, I plan to work in addictions one day and I have the utmost respect for those who have a problem and want help. BUT, taking the kids when you are shit-faced and driving to a SCHOOL to pick up another??? Sounds like sheer stupidity to me and an obvious lack of concern for even her own damn kids. I doubt that her choices would get much better with sobriety.

Sherry Ambolino was sentenced today to 6-12 months in county prison for driving a minivan filled with four children she was baby-sitting while intoxicated.

That’s all, shit you get more than that for carrying pot on you..I agree with you all, there is NO REASON to drive while drunk, especially exposing chldren to being maimed or killed. I can still party harty myself, but I NEVER DRIVE… I guess I think too much of myself..Obviously she doesn’t, probably because she’s never been sober long enough. They should have hanged from her tits, … or jowls…
