How does a pedophile convicted of child rape find his next victim? Why, simply find a woman already being investigated for child neglect.
Middleboro - A woman who was already being investigated by the Department of Social Services for neglecting her two kids ages 6 and 8, let her registered Level 2 sex offender ex-boyfriend, Peter J. Kearney-Stanley, 24, move in with her. During a February visit from social workers, the 8-year-old told them that Stanley “touched me in the wrong spot.†The girl said she was sleeping and woke to him touching her. Now Stanley is jail held on $5,000 cash bail on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14. The woman? Nothing. AND she still has the kids.
DSS doesn’t think that there was any wrong-doing on her part, and if she was not aware of Stanley’s past conviction, then I would be inclined to agree. They also state that since Stanley was no longer in the household, then there was no immediate threat to the girl. Stanley had to register as a Level 2 sex offender, considered a moderate risk of re-offending, after being convicted of child rape in 2004.
This particular offense took place when the girl was in 2nd grade. She told investigators that she was afraid to tell anyone because Stanley threatened to punish her by sending her to her room for the entire day and keeping her away from the playground.

These ppl make me sick. And what makes me sicker is the fact that more of the mothers are not being held accountable for their actions of neglect that lead to senseless reasonless crimes against their children. I am aware that some of the mothers are being charged… But seriously, is 30 or 60 days enough?

Wait…if you’re already being investigated for neglect, isn’t it kind of stupid to let some guy you barely know move in with you and your kids? Even if he doesn’t turn out to be a child molester, doesn’t it just look bad to DCFS that you’ve started shacking up with some moronic guy you just met? Or is that part of the attempt to look like you’re not neglecting the kids any more? “Look–I got me a built-in babysitter now, DCFS.”

I think a mother like this should be dealt mandatory parenting classes. The DCFS should be able to levy something like that, given the investigation for neglect. And parenting classes should include the suggestion of background checks. Even a cursory check on this dude would have clued her in.
As I’ve stated previously, I don’t think that failing to conduct background checks on potential mates makes a parent bad. But, there’s always room for improvement and it’s a reasonable practice.

To me it seems real fucking neglectful on her part, not to know more about this man…..I mean she’d been tagged by DCFS….I’d want to be really careful what the fuck I did. Apparently she has no fucking sense of reasoning. Surprise, Surprise!

Women who use their kids as BAIT to catch a man is unfortunately common. What is uncommon is the number of incidences where those women actually get charged with anything when their kids get raped and molested.
