Veronica Ford on dreamindemon.com

Florida - After visiting a local McDonald’s, Veronica Ford, 4, and her mother, Benita Desir, 20, stepped out from a county shuttle bus to cross the street. At the same time, a silver Dodge Magnum that was behind the bus, entered the opposite lane of traffic to pass it and struck Veronica. The driver kept going. Veronica was pronounced dead at Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.

The only thing I could hear was her crying for her mama,” her mother, who was not injured, stated on SaturdaySaturday reviewsSaturday reviews.

Police are now looking for that car and the driver. The driver was described as a black male with dreadlocks pulled back into a ponytail. The car was silver, has a temporary tag, chrome rims and front-end damage.

Since the accident, dozens of strangers and friends have stopped by the Desir home to offer condolences, some of them leaving teddy bears, religious candles, flowers and foil balloons on the lawn. Neighbors have also been raising money for her funeral.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).

Sorry but the way I was taught, the mother would be in the lead with the child in hand… things just happen and very fast… never are they expected… Tragic Accident…

We know we know WONDER. You were taught the RIGHT way. Your family would NEVER be a victim because YOU would have done things differently. Its always the parent's fault when their children are victims. If only they were as smart as YOU. *eyeroll*

sounds like a really bad mistake on everyone’s part

Nope. Sounds like a crime. Hit and run and murder. Only one person was driving the vehicle, which can also be considered a weapon and that is the 18 year old fuckwad. He knew he did something wrong because ehe and a friend tried to cover it up. Assholes.

    Heartbreaking!!

Kudo to those that witnessed and were able to describe the driver… I am sure he regrets passing the bus, I am assuming on the left.

WTF, he kept going, hello, are you for real????

That poor child and mother. I'm just thankful they caught the two asshats.

What....what are you saying, Wonder? If this Mother would have done something different her child wouldn't be fucking dead. Holy shit. You are one calloused sister. I cannot believe you always seem to have some shit for the fucking victims of the crimes.
Yeah, if the bitch wouldn't have been walking there with her fucking kid, her kid would be alive. Oh that thoughtless fucking mother.
Wonder....goddammit....I have said this before, you make me Wonder.
    Your name fits you well.
Damn, I keep thinking of what you typed, about the mother and the tow-truck driver and it's like; do you read something different than what I do?

This was not a mistake - it was a killing. More specifically, it was a killing of a child.

And saying that the mother is culpable, because she was not "in front" is just disgusting. This woman just lost her child because someone passed a bus (which is, in itself, a crime), and ran down a four year old.

I am now at a loss for words..........FUCK!

Let's be cool - the driver's busted, his accessory-after-the-fact homie is caught, and that's about the best that can be done until trial and sentencing, unless the family can get hold of them both and tear meat from bone.
  • Sounds like the tow truck driver who help to cover up the damage on the car is the real villian.

You're kidding me, right? The REAL villian is the asshole that ran over a little girl and DROVE AWAY!!!
  • Wonder
Authorities say they have arrested the driver in a hit-and-run accident that killed a 4-year-old girl on Friday, as well as charged a man they say helped the driver fix and repaint his damaged car.

Charles Vincent Sanford, 18, of Sunrise will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death, while Jermaine McLymont of Mack's Towing will be charged with tampering with evidence and resisting arrest without violence, according to a news release from Sunrise police.

Oh man, that is fucked up. I cannot imagine what this mama must be going through. My thoughts are with her and her family. Wow.
  • Angel
    want some company?

Love some!!!!! As soon as they catch this bastard, let's pick a time convenient to all, and let the festivities begin!
  • maryhaze
i've got a vw cabrio so that's pretty light & it's a stick also. want some company?

That poor baby, and her mama! I could not imagine having that happen to one of mine! I hope they catch this guy, and when they do, his punishment is to be tied up and put in the road, so a brigade of motorcycles and small cars can run his ass over repeatedly, until he dies. I would suggest using a larger vehicle such as a Suburban or a semi, but that would be too quick, in my opinion. I think the assmunch needs to suffer. I have a small Aveo myself, and would be happy to volunteer to take a turn or two. And it's a stick shift, so I could probably manage to stall it a couple of times, and spin out on the guy's head while trying to get over the bump in the road. *maniacal laughter*
