Apr 9, 2008 at 1:26 pm -I was always last in my house, too. I was the punching bag, and when no one was feeling particularly irritable, or horny, I was completely ignored. I graduated 13th out of a class of 351, and earned a scholarship to Duke. I never ganged up (with seven of my friends) on another girl, and I didn’t get into trouble with the law.
Yeah, she may be having a rough life - boofuckinghoo. She probably needs a new residence, and extensive counseling; but, have no illusions, her decisions (especially at her age) are just that: HER DECISIONS! She may not be responsible for the things that have happened TO her, but she is ENTIRELY responsible for the things she does to others!!!!!
My very least favorite excuse to hear from a child abuser or pedophile: “But, I was abused as a child, myself! So, it’s not my f-f-f-faaaaauuuulllllt!” BullFUCKINGshit! I was beaten and molested as a child, well into my teens, and I have never fucked any child - much less one of my own - and I do not abuse my children or anyone else’s. Blaming your childhood, for mistakes which that same childhood should have taught you how to prevent……. is pathetic!
And if that girl is being molested by her uncle, or father, or anyone else, and her mother knows about it, well then, somebody send me the bitch’s address and I’ll personally go and administer the beating she deserves! People like her make me want to puke purple puppies, and hurl whores. Fucking cunt who won’t even protect her own daughter. Fucking BITCH!!!
But Mercades is still responsible for what she did, as are all of the other little cunt-cookies and penis-pastries. I hope they all get their asses beat in jail. Repeatedly!

Apr 9, 2008 at 1:30 pm -Thanks, TBB, but what kind of Angel would I be if I lied or accepted credit for something which was not mine? Twatwaffle is one that I picked up from someone else on this site a few weeks ago, myself. Michelle, maybe? Or Kathy? They all come up with so many good ‘new words’ that I can’t keep them straight, anymore. And I get a laugh, too, every time I type it. That’s why I like it so much!

And about that name: Mercades. Was her mom trying to name her after a high end car, and couldn’t figure out how to spell it? And if so, does that mean her middle name is Benz (as in ‘over for sex’). Is this more proof of the IQ of this particular brand of idiot? Just askin’…..

Apr 9, 2008 at 3:12 pm -From the sounds of it Mercedes was more worried about the shelf then her “friend”
Did you read that 4chan.org /b was getting involved calling Mercedes in the middle of the night.
If I am correct Mercedes has an older brother Nathan Nichols. Class of 2006. It’s the only Nichols I could find in the yearbook I found and he looks kind of similar. I’ll try to find more recent yearbooks to find these girls.
I wonder how their day at school was?
Anyone want the school’s number and address?

Apr 9, 2008 at 4:21 pm -My whole point of my post Angel was not to justify her actions as i said It was more to bring attention to the fact that parents are causing this crap and allowing this crap and they are never held accountable for raising this little bytches from hell.
That is the part that Pisses me off to no end. If you are going to give birth than damn it pay attention to these kids and raise them right. It irks the heck out of me looking at her mom trying to get back her youth and being “friend” (if that really) instead of a adult and parent.
There are many who were abused as children that sadly can not handle that as strongly as others.
There are some who get through it and go on to deal with life as if it never happened.
Sadly though there is that small percentage who are weaker and can not deal with it. They roam off the right path and if they are LUCKY someone or something puts them back on the right path before they go too far and or hurt someone.
Again though I am NOT justifying what was done. These kids in my opinion need some serious time in Adult prison. Not some little juvenile hall which is a day at camp with a bunch of other bad asses just like them. Though in my opinion i doubt they would even make it in Juvie to be honest.
Toss them in with the adults let’s see how they handle real fighting. Because honestly that crap they were doing was not fighting.
That kid in the ill fitting pink sweats got in maybe two good punches but hell with someone not fighting back how hard is that to do.
When it comes down to it though None of them were fighters if they were this kid would have been beat down and had a hell of a lot more injuries than a concussion and a couple stitches. She would have had broken ribs, collar bones, orbital bones, jaw bones, etc. These kids thank heavens had no fight cause this could have been a hell of a lot worse.
By the way I also adore twatwaffle that is my new favorite saying above asshat.

Apr 9, 2008 at 4:52 pm -Lots of people have had it much worse than I did. I’m nothing special. But excuses from others still piss me off.
I know, I got that part……but……
Allowing, maybe…….causing - not a fucking chance! And that was my point. Her parents can be stupid assholes, but that does not excuse her willingness to follow in their footsteps. She made that choice, all by herself. Just as I made the choice to be the polar opposite of what my family was. And you are right, she may be weaker than some others we know, but if we are going to use that as an excuse, then we need to remove all of the stories on here about the druggies and drunks who hurt or endanger others, because they are ‘weak’ too, right? Just trying to put it into perspective for you.
I know not everyone is as militant as I am about this shit, and you still don’t have to agree with me - you are entitled to your own opinion. But, making excuses, any excuses at all, for these people, will only encourage them to do worse things later to see just how far they can go before someone calls “Bullshit!” on their lame asses. I simply cut out all of that in-between time, and call “Bullshit!” the first time…..a stitch in time, saves nine, and all that crap……

Apr 9, 2008 at 6:08 pm -I see parents allow their kids to go online, have their own cell phone, buy rap crap, and the parents shrug and say helplessly, “What can I do? All the kids are ….” Whatever happened to, “I don’t care what Britny, Britinni, or Mercades’ mother lets her do. If your best friend jumped off a cliff, do you think I would let you jump off?”
But the trash is so pervasive these days that homeschooling and private schools and religious schools seem to becoming needed refuges from the “real world.” Even parents who try to apply standards are faced with a highly connected, immature teen-age world that is supported and encouraged by all the merchants who want to sell them crap.

Brittany: English meaning “from Britain”; Irish meaning “from Britain”; Latin meaning “Britain (the name of a French province).”
Brittany is the 318th most popular girl’s name in the United States.
(Which may explain why so many horrible girls have this name.)
Alternative spellings: BRITNEY BRITNIE BRITTENY BRITTNEY
(And our very own asshat — Brittini!)

@_@
In my opinion, these kids’ behavior has less to do with what they were exposed to and more to do with the values (or lack thereof) they were brought up with. My friends and I had very liberal parents. We listened to the worst music we could find, watched horror movies and played violent video games. But limits were set for us, and we were all instilled with a genuine concern for our fellow human being. This is not to say that we couldn’t be bad…but it was never like this.
A child only needs to be sheltered if the parent is doing something wrong, generally speaking.

Apr 9, 2008 at 7:51 pm -Actually, the religious schools are worse than the public. My son was harassed and laughed at endlessly by the other students at a catholic shool. Meanwhile, the teachers and principal sided against him and actually verbally attacked ME for stepping in after he was sexually harassed in the restroom and punched in the face IN CLASS. The teacher said pretty much that he deserved it and told me I’m a lousy parent. The priest, and superintendant of the school, told me he “didn’t want to second guess his faculty”. WHAT THE FUCK!!?? And with all the child molester crap already attached to the catholic church! I would have thought he would be on that like white on rice. I guess, inretrospect, that he was just another one of those perverse old fuckers. And to think….I paid $12,000 for my kids to recieve FOUR YEARS of this kind of schooling before they let it slip how things REALLY were around there! My son gets less shit at public school.

Apr 9, 2008 at 8:01 pm -What method are you using to isolate the genetic component from the environmental component?
My guess is that you aren’t. So, your kids could act the way they do because they are biologically yours, and not because of any parenting method. As a matter of fact, every major study that takes genes into account finds that they have much more to do with behavior than environment.
Think about this for a second. Your kids are like you because they share your genetic make-up. All of your interactions with them are a red herring in understanding why they are the way they are. This is why adopted kids can be so frustrating, you really are rolling the dice by not knowing the biological parents.

Apr 9, 2008 at 8:05 pm -I have grown addicted to this site. And I will say Catholic schools are totally worse than public schools. I am a “product” of the Catholic school system. Better drugs, better tech. advancements, better everything…….except the KIDS that populate these schools think their shit doesn’t stink. And most of the parents of these KIDS think there kids shitdon’t stink. They will defend their KIDS until the end. My parents didn’t, when I got in trouble for a fight or acting like an ass, i got my ass beat by them. By most of the parents just don’t give a shit. The nuns and oh so precious priests disipline these little precious’s. And let me tell you DETENTION doesn’t work. We laughed at that and went back to the same bullshit the next day.

Apr 9, 2008 at 8:17 pm -Does that mean that the majority of young people in every decade in every society acted like asshats? I don’t think so. I don’t remember anything like this beat-up mess happening during my childhood and I don’t think that was entirely because of my parents’ genetics or the genetics of my entire community. I think there’s definitely a component in which the weak-willed, stupid, or eager to conform imitate the world around them. It may not take peaceful people and make them violent, but it provides a “sexy” frame in which to explore their violence. The difference between hitting someone and pretending to yourself that you’re cool like a hood when you hit someone.
I’m very sorry to hear about the mess in the religious and private schools. Oh well, I guess the world is doomed by pervasive bad genes.

I just didn’t give a shit. But the fights we had consisted of a few punches and a black eye and you went home. We didn’t bring out the video cam that was the size of a suit case. Not to mention I wasn’t even allowed to watch MTV!!!!! All this violence is so sensationalized and made alright by media, UTUBE….. and the like. Plus way to many parents are into their overtime and not even aware what is going on until their little babies are sitting in jail

Apr 10, 2008 at 3:01 pm -THAT is true as well. I remember when I was a teen the small town in Cali where I went to high school sounded a lot like this Mayberry whaterthe hellits calledplace. Everyone was into acting hard and tough, it was the “it” thing to do. Mind you, this was a nice area too, it’s not like it was in South Central L.A. or anything. Unfortunately, it’s just cool to be mean nowadays. I’m not trying to blame Rap music or anything, but I do think that kids try to emulate what is cool and popular, and when the cool and popular music refers to kicking people’s asses and fucking hoes, that can have an effect.

Apr 10, 2008 at 3:05 pm -Hurray! I assume, the one not being charged as an adult is the 14 year old, Cooper. While she is 14, isn’t she the one that hid in the bedroom and waited for the Lindsey girl? Isn’t she the one who actually knocked her unconscious? And, if I’m not mistaken, isn’t the Cooper girl, the second girl (had Hollister shirt on) you see assaulting the Lindsey girl, at the couch scene? If I am correct about the 14 year olds actions, she did as much, if not more than the older girls.
I have mixed emotions about this one. She is 14 and no doubt wanting to fit in with the older girls. Does 2-3 years really separate their mentality and accountability? If what I think I saw is correct and she did the most of the “injury producing” beating (knocking her unconscious and the few good shots at the couch), shouldn’t she be tried the same? In one moment, I’m like “no way, she’s only 14″. Then the next, I replay the video in my head and hell, she’s the one who did the most damage - so “Hell yes, charge her like an adult”.
I hate it when my own mind can’t decide what I think is right and fair. I hate to waffle back and forth - nothing to do with a twatwaffle, though.
LOL. Where are the rest of you guys on the 14 year old being charged as an adult or juvenile? At this point, I can’t pick a side, damn it!

Apr 10, 2008 at 3:13 pm -I don’t guess it really matters, I’d imagine they probably can’t charge her as an adult, due to her age alone. What is the Florida age limit on charging teens as adults?
143
Angel
Apr 10, 2008 at 3:18 pm -Pooh, I think the 14 yr old IS being charged as an adult. The statement was that:
The 18 year old was already going to be charged as an adult, because he IS an adult. The only ones that were in question were the seven who were younger than 18. Like I said, I think the 14 yr old IS being charged as an adult - as she should be.

All of your interactions with them are a red herring in understanding why they are the way they are. This is why adopted kids can be so frustrating, you really are rolling the dice by not knowing the biological parents.
Until I research these studies you reference, I really don’t buy that a child’s upbringing is practically a non-issue, like you seem to suggest. I absolutely agree that behavior is subject to genetic predisposition, but I’m just not willing to commit to the level which you suggest. It’s why I started that post off with “in my opinion”. Is my opinion ignorant? Perhaps. If so, it will be adjusted just as soon as I come across the information that debunks it.
That being said, if genetics is the determining factor in a child’s behavior, wouldn’t that still mean that the media the child is exposed to will be a non-issue? That was really my point.

Apr 10, 2008 at 3:32 pm -Well, good point, duh!!! *runs to kick own ass* I guess I got lost in the “seven” being charged, not thinking that one was already in adult jail.
I think, only because the Cooper girl did most of the damage, that she should be charged like the others. Hell no, I’m waffling again, when I look at what I type, its she’s only 14. I can’t decide. The 14 year old is as deserving, as the others, but her age just doesn’t leave me. I would have done things at 14 that I would not have done at 17-18. I did grow alot during those years. Then again, at 14, I would have fought her on my own and would not have participated in a “group beating”.
Even if I didn’t particularly like a person in school, if more than one was jumping on them, I always found it necessary to make sure only “one” jumped on them at a time. It had nothing to do with liking or disliking, it was simply “not a fair fight” and I felt compelled to keep it one. That part of me was the same at 14 or 18. But, then again, I made choices at 14 that when looking back from 17-18, I thought how stupid I was and how lucky something worse didn’t come of my stupidity.
I may just have to change my name from the pooh to the waffler. WTH?
146
Athena
Apr 10, 2008 at 3:32 pm -I don’t know about the whole charging a 14 year old as an adult thing.
This girl isn’t allowed to drive a car or have sex or vote or enter a legally binding contract, all because, supposedly, she cannot accurately grasp the consequences of her actions until her brain has developed more. If that’s the case, how can we justify charging her as an adult? I just feel like the law lacks consistency as far as this type of thing goes. It’s not that I’m against charging her as an adult, necessarily…But it kind of undermines the logic behind age of consent laws, in my opinion.
147
solange822001
Apr 10, 2008 at 3:40 pm -It’s a tough one. But, I think a lot depends on the crime. This was vicious, imho. I think she needs to learn her lesson. If she’s this bad at 14, imagine when she gets older?
148
thepooh5
Apr 10, 2008 at 3:57 pm -Agreed. That’s kinda where I’m at. I, for the most part, think she should be charged as an adult. But, my heart and conscious, keep saying “that isn’t right” - she IS just 14. If she gets convicted and they put her in with women, its over. She will be a far worse person when she gets out than she is now. Now isn’t that a sad thought.
Maybe 14 is just young enough to where a successful rehabilitation can happen. I can’t see that sending her to an adult prison would be beneficial to anyone. She does not need to be put in with harden criminals. She participated in an “ass kicking” not a murder. I know things could have went horrilby wrong and someone could have died - BUT no one did die and from what I understand, the girl will most likely make a full recovery, once the swelling resides.
I just can’t see sending her to a place that would 9 out of 10 times make her a “worse person” and not the better for it. After all, isn’t that the goal, to change their mindset and show them this action was wrong and these are the consequences? Now do better.
She’ll never do better in an adult prison. She’ll be served up as a snack. She possibly could turn her life around in the proper detention for her age group. A couple of years in juvie hall has turned more than one person around. She’s at that “in between age”, where its hard to just say its this way or that way - she certainly needs punished and shown the consequences. The question is at what level?
149
Athena
Apr 10, 2008 at 3:59 pm -I don’t know, Solange. If anything, I would think that young teens are even more prone to fall subject to mob mentality than the older kids, which could be considered to be a mitigating factor. I’m not saying she should be slapped on the wrist…not at all. However, charging young teens and kids as adults kind of negates the purpose of establishing a separate judicial system for kids to begin with.
Perhaps that’s the answer - subject ALL minors to adult sentencing and simply house them differently.
