Bernard Allen Has Issues

Mesa, Arizona – Imagine having a friend or family member at the mall, shopping or whatever. At some point, this person use the public restroom in the mall. Now imagine at this point somewhere, a complete stranger walks up behind this friend or family member and shoves an 8-inch butcher knife in their back, leaving them to die on the floor of a fucking restroom. That’s what happened to 31-year-old Issura Jackson after he went to the restroom located in the food court of the Fiesta Mall. His attacker? A complete stranger by the name of Bernard Allen, 25.

He has a history of mental illness and has spent 6 years in prison for his connection with a robbery and drive-by shooting. Jackson was not his first victim, either. On Sunday, the day before the attack on Jackson, Allen attacked another man at the same mall. He stabbed him several times in the neck area using a pocket knife. That man, Lathaniel Clinton Brown, 22, was in the Macy’s department store at the time.

Brown reported being grabbed him from behind and being stabbed in the neck with a knife by Allen. He turned around and said to the Allen, “What are you doing? I don’t even know you.” Allen then stabbed Brown three times in the shoulder and fled. Allen’s reasoning for stabbing both of these men is that he thought they had disrespected him in some way. Both of the men who were attacked are Native Americans, and police are looking at that as a factor as well. Either way, Allen is bat-shit crazy.

In this latest incident that left Jackson bleeding to death on the floor of a public bathroom, Allen had just bought the knife from a store in the mall. The employees stated he was acting strange, but sold the 50.00 butcher knife to him anyway. It was 11 minutes after this purchase that the first 911 call was made reporting a man walking around the mall with a bloody knife in his hand. When police arrived, they found Allen sitting on a bench at a mall entrance, the knife laying beside him. Bernard was booked on one count of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated assault and held on $500,000 bond.

It’s not just the fact that this guy was walking around for two days randomly stabbing people in the mall that bothers me. It also sucks to think that Jackson went into a public restroom at a mall, where he had to hope that someone hasn’t shit in the urinal or walls, or some asshole may start rubbing his hand under the stall next to him, or any myriad of hassles that can happen from the simple act of taking a piss in a room shared by the rest of the public. Then this happens. Out of all the places to end up dead.

Angel, your wit gives me great pleasure…even when it’s cheesy. :)

So, Allen appears to be on the Native side. I wonder why he was targeting other Natives? Or perhaps it’s just a heavily Native-populated area and it just happened that way?

Mesa is fairly heavy with Native. Would say that Mr. Allen, the wonder with a few braincells short, (Could be from living in AZ) is mixed, and hence killing the full Native Americans for “dissin’ him on being mixed.

“Disrespecting him?” Did it ever occur to him in his life to do anything to deserve respect? Nope.

It seems to me that the people who are obsessed with being “disrespected” generally have a screw loose.

aahhh…home sweet home, oh wait, I don’t miss that town at all. This is pretty shitty, but Mesa is a terrible place to live. Well, unless you like violence, drugs, road rage, terrible schools, religious intolerance and ridiculously blistering heat. Then if that’s the case, it’s fantastic.

And it guess it goes that you have to like the idea of people who like that kind of town! Another place off my list!

Great! Another insane story that I missed on the local news! I can count on reading about it here!

Fiesta Mall is a much OLDER mall–I wouldn’t go there, it has gotten kinda ghetto over the years. ( I did buy my 1st parakeet there at Sears in 1978 for $10 bucks…it wasn’t ghetto back then).

The Mesa area has many Mormons, maybe many Native Americans??…some Indian Reservations are borderline to Mesa.

That Bernard dude looks more Mexican to me than Native American.

definitely a man with ‘issues’, as in certifiably crazy. More common than we would find comfortable. I find it difficult to understand why the mall hadn’t put out a description and amped up security from the attack the day before. And thank the goddess that that his psychosis was so disorganised and profound that he didn’t go rampant with a semi automatic, not that its any consolation to his victims.

Looks like life itself has disrespected the man. He should get all stabby on the cosmos, and leave the malldwellers to their own little hell.

Too bad one of the cops didn’t “disrespect” him…

Hmmm…Solid theory as any. How weird. I’m glad that being a mutt has never caused me to feel “dissed”. :P

Yes, I know I’m commenting on a comment on my previous comment, but it might have been one of those shoppers ‘two for one’ deals – malls are getting pretty desperate now that psychos are back stabbing in mom and pop stores.
